"A reasonable experience overall. This is after all a budget hotel. The communal area carpets in reception and corridors are in serious need of cleaning. Experience was helped by the actions of a couple of members of staff. On arrival (early) on Saturday 9th May reception promptly offered storage of our bags. Alex at breakfast on May 10th was outstanding with a warm cheerful welcome and prompt explanation. Moreover she went out of her way to prepare a table for our party of six. Thank you Alex. The big downer wasn’t obviously the 5am Fire alarm but the nonexistent communication from the night staff while we mustered outside for an hour while the alarm persisted despite there not being a fire. Why on earth was nothing announced to the assembled guests. Disappointing and dangerous. Please speak to the relevant staff and send for training."

"I stayed at Travelodge Trowell for one night on the way to Manchester and overall it was ok. The hotel is easy to find just off the motorway and parking was free. The room was clean and bed was comfortable, I slept quite well even though you can hear some noise from the road if you are sensitive sleeper. Bathroom was basic but everything worked fine and towels was clean. Staff at reception was friendly and helpful, check in was quick and no problems at all."

"I’ve been staying at the Travelodge for four days while attending a training event with the company I work for. Sam who runs the main reception desk was very helpful on two occasions when I needed some assistance with technology. Overall, the accommodation has been adequate. They have a pub next door which is very handy for drinks and food. I would stay here again it’s very convenient. Sam has been absolutely fantastic."

There was a nice variety of fresh and tasty options, and everything was prepared with care. It was a great way to start the day. I would especially like to mention Nataliia, who works in the kitchen. She is incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. Her warm attitude and genuine smile made the morning brighter. It’s clear that she truly cares about the guests. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for an affordable yet comfortable stay with great service."

"I returned to my home town as a child . I was going to May Hall Theatre to see Rock of ages the musical . I decided to stay over at the local Hotel . Nice clean and friendly . The staff were pleasant and the venue was very clean . I was welcomed and allowed to my room as it was ready . I have only one irritation as it was Bank Holiday . No Restaurant, no bar, no Breakfast available. Was not aware of this when I booked but I guess I survived as ASDA was around the corner . Loved the room and it was quite . I’d of given a 5 ⭐️ if the bar and Restaurant were available . Thank you though for a very comfortable stay , I will return ."
