I've been back home for a week, and I finally have time to write a detailed review of this hotel, named after the ancient Silla kingdom.
First, the good points, which are the only things I found worthwhile. The hotel is built into a cliff, boasting unique natural scenery. It cleverly integrates lush vegetation into one side of the hotel, creating a rich and layered temperate island characteristic. Strolling through it is incredibly relaxing. In the distance is the surging sea, and nearby are cliffs and a sandy beach – being there is truly enjoyable.
Now that I've covered the good, here are the things I found intolerable and unacceptable:
1. The room the hotel provided was not the one I booked. I had reserved a mountain-view room with a balcony, but they gave me a room without a balcony, and the window overlooked a parking lot.
2. After I requested a change, the hotel moved me to another room. It did have a balcony, but it was still near the parking lot.
3. What made me even angrier was that the hotel clearly hadn't cleaned thoroughly. In the new room, I found uncleaned hair in the sink and water stains in the bathroom. The picture shows hair in the basin.
4. After communicating with the hotel again through Trip.com, the hotel staff at the front desk was expressionless throughout, with dull eyes and mechanical service, showing no apology whatsoever. They showed me another room that was even worse than the current one. I had no choice but to ask the hotel staff to clean it again, and I ended up waiting for nearly two extra hours because of this.
5. The hotel breakfast was terrible. The local specialty food was extremely unappetizing and hard to swallow. The coffee used low-quality beans. There was an area that seemed to be for Chinese food, which was completely unrecognizable. The fruit selection was basic, truly basic. The only edible options were the Western food and ice cream, which were actually good.
Perhaps you might think my review is harsh, but given the room rate I paid, I feel I have the right to be this critical. And for breakfast, at nearly 300 RMB per person, honestly, 'basic' is the only word I can use, especially for the fruit.
The entire staff at the Shilla Hotel seemed to have a grim, tense, and deliberately distant demeanor, which was genuinely off-putting.
Overall, I'd say this hotel completely fails to meet expectations. Many areas need significant improvement. If I had to choose again, I definitely wouldn't stay here.

This was my second stay here, and this time I was assigned a room on the second floor with a very mediocre view. I'd recommend letting the hotel know your preferences before checking in to get a room with a better view, if available. Even though the hotel has been open for a long time, the facilities are very well maintained; the room was clean and tidy, and the carpet was spotless. The staff were all very friendly. When checking in and paying the deposit at the front desk, my UnionPay credit card didn't work, so I paid in cash, 100,000 Korean Won per night. The breakfast was good, but everyone wakes up quite early, so by 8:30 AM, there was already a queue. The pool, though not large, was a lot of fun for the kids, but it did get crowded, making it hard to find an empty spot. There's also a paid relaxation area next to it for 30,000 Korean Won for two hours. The hairdryer is an old model and takes a long time to dry your hair. Across from the hotel, next to Starbucks, there's a convenience store. If you're tired of the 7-Eleven by the entrance, you can check that one out; there's also an Olive Young there. The restaurant next to the hotel has a so-so ambiance. If you're looking for a BBQ place within walking distance, search for 'Pungno' on Dianping. If you're coming to Jeju Island for a relaxing vacation, this place is a good choice. However, if you're here for shopping and visiting various attractions, staying in the city center would be more convenient.

Guest UserHotel was modern and clean. Beds are comfortable. It is by the sea which is beautiful but not ideal if you are looking for places to eat or shop around the area. Although the hotel will help you get a cab to the town area about 10-15 mins away.
Sunset from our room facing the mountains. Nice stroll by the sea outside hotel

Guest UserWe were quite disappointed upon arrival. We had specifically booked a mountain view room, but were given a city view room with mountains in the distant background—a view that looked nothing like what was advertised in the hotel’s room listing.
When we raised this with the front desk and showed them the discrepancy using a photo comparison (our view vs. the advertised one), we were told that the building had been constructed recently and the room photos hadn’t been updated. However, the buildings obstructing our view clearly appeared not to be new, making that explanation unconvincing.
What was even more disappointing was the lack of any effort to rectify the situation. The hotel could have at least offered us an alternative room, even a cheaper one with partial sea and mountain views, but this wasn’t done. We ended up paying a premium for a view that didn’t meet expectations, and left feeling misled.
Parking
The listing stated free parking, but both nights, the hotel car park was full. We had to park in public areas, and one night, we ended up parking at the roadside due to a lack of space. As foreigners unfamiliar with Korean parking regulations, this caused unnecessary stress—we were worried about the risk of parking fines for potentially illegal parking.
Other Concerns
There seemed to be extra charges for everything. Only two complimentary bottles of water were provided each night. When we went to the lobby to ask for two paper cups, we were told we had to pay for them. Fortunately, this charge was waived—possibly because they were aware of our parking issue—but it still left a negative impression.

The rooms were very clean. The only downside is the location by the harbor, and the roads leading to it are a bit narrow and tricky to navigate right now. Overall, I'd recommend it, especially if you're a large family looking for a good stay.

Anonymous UserA decent and comfortable stay. If there is not enough parking lot within the hotel, there is another parking space opposite the hotel.
There is a washing machine within the room and the staff will give a free detergent pod if the stay is 3 nights and above. They also do provide a drying rack if required.

Anonymous UserA wonderful family-friendly stay! Venga Stay offers clean, spacious rooms with two double beds and great distant views of the sea or mountains. It's tucked away from downtown next to a busy road, but the rooms and the communal area are surprisingly quiet.
The amenities are great—featuring a free swimming pool, (paid) bike rentals, a convenience store, and an on-site café. Just note that breakfast requires a day-ahead reservation (with a few good options available). The highlight, however, was the incredible staff who were always friendly and helpful. We would gladly stay here again!

Room size is sufficient, location is slightly isolated, no shops near by, nearest CU is 5-10 mins drive out (hotel has its own small convenient store).
Came in Mid Feb, weather is around 5-10 degrees, however hotel practice that they do not on the aircon, and also do not provide controller. Personally felt it was a little stuffy, so had to open the window through the night.

Hels11Good location, parking close by as well as some parking at the hotel. The rooms were clean (bathroom could do with a bit of renovation), comfortable and spacious. The cleaning is every 3 days but fresh water and towels given everyday. We had a kitchen in our room but no way of utalising it as there were no pots, pans or cutlery.

Guest UserWe had a great time on our family trip, staying in a renovated room. Everything was good, except for a bit of noise and commotion from a student group on a school trip. We'd definitely consider staying here again.
