"This was our second stay at this hotel after we decided to prolong our Jeju roundtrip and come to Seogwipo again. First of all this small city has so much charm and a lot to offer for slow pace travellers like us. The hotel staff is very friendly and correct. The room is very clean and complete for a microwave meal and easy trash disposal system. The location is perfect for nice hikes or exploring other parts of the island as the bus system here is very well connected. Shower pressure is great, and hot. The bed is comfortable, though too narrow for Westerners. Wifi only let's you connect to 3 devices, which needs some coordination if you are using more than that."

GGuest UserThe Shilla Hotel is great! 👍 The hotel's overall decor feels quite new, despite what I'd heard online about it being a 10-20 year old establishment. The actual environment is really good. Getting around from the hotel is super convenient. The 600 bus stops right outside the hotel for both pick-up and drop-off, running every 50 minutes. In the afternoon, the 2:20 PM bus goes from the hotel to the airport and takes about an hour. You can buy and top up a public transport card at any convenience store. My child absolutely loved the hotel pool. The hotel boasts three restaurants: a buffet, a Japanese restaurant, and a pool restaurant. We had breakfast and lunch at the buffet. For kids, it was RMB 154 on the first day and RMB 177 on the second. At the pool restaurant, we ordered abalone udon noodles. One bowl of noodles came with two small bowls of rice, which was more than enough for two people. The fried chicken was very greasy and a huge portion; I only managed to eat two pieces before giving up. However, the fries in the burger set were delicious! You can access the beach directly from the hotel. Even though it was raining, the sea was still beautifully blue.

AAnonymous UserThe hygiene was impeccable, very clean and tidy. I booked a single room with a private bathroom, and they provided towels, shower slippers, and toothpaste (no toothbrush). Self-check-in was available after 4:00 PM, and they offered free luggage storage, which was a huge convenience for backpackers and hikers. Just outside the hotel is Dongmen Market, where you can get a feel for local life, and in the evenings, you can visit the night market there to grab a bite – the grilled squid was massive! The hotel staff were very friendly, and you could store food in the fridge (just write your name on it). There was also a microwave and coffee available.

The front desk had long queues and provided rigid service, while the facility maintenance and housekeeping staff clearly lacked any customer service training. I felt the same way during my last visit, and despite hoping for improvements this time, it's exactly the same. After checking out and staying at another hotel in Jungmun, the significant difference in service is even more apparent. The service is severely lacking compared to advantages like the location.

GGuest UserFantastic experience! Definitely worth the price. The room I booked, despite not being advertised as having a balcony with a sea view, came with a private terrace. From there, I had a perfect view of the hotel pool, the windmill, and the distant sea. Even though the hotel is over twenty years old, the room facilities are very well-maintained. The bathtub was especially comfortable, and the TV even had screen casting capabilities. The hotel's public areas are incredibly comfortable, and they even had many amenities to ward off mosquitoes at night, which was a thoughtful touch. The public areas also connect directly to the sea bathing area. While it does involve climbing a few stairs, it's quite convenient. The hotel is well-served by public transport, with buses going directly to the airport and to the Olle Market. There are also several convenience stores nearby and restaurants in the scenic area, which are handy for quick meals. Overall, I'd definitely want to come back again; it was very relaxing!

어어쩌라구10It is close to Seogwipo Olle Market and the intercity bus terminal. A guesthouse renovated from the old Midojang. A good place to stay for a day or two. I visited Mido Hostel again for the first time in almost 10 years. I accidentally stayed for 5 consecutive nights, forgetting my age, and in a dormitory at that. There was nothing uncomfortable about sleeping, but I was embarrassed by the shared restrooms and bathrooms. It was exactly the same as before. The shared kitchen has been replaced by a container on the rooftop, and the reception area where the kitchen used to be has been changed into a bar or cafe. I felt like I would be a nuisance, so I didn't even think about going to the cafe except to ask for a towel. In the evening, a small party, like a dinner gathering, was held among the guests. I think it would be a good experience for young people.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located in a resort, a bit far from the city center, but you can get here by bus route 255. The Giant's Causeway is relatively close, about a 90 RMB taxi ride one way. My ground-floor room has a 'small garden,' but I felt it lacked privacy, as people on the higher floors opposite seemed able to see into my room. The front desk service was average. Shopping downstairs is convenient, but the brand selection isn't extensive, and the resort's restaurants are quite pricey.

DDuoduobuduoVI have to say, it was seeing pictures of this hotel's infinity pool online that immediately made me book a flight to Jeju Island. The weather was perfect, and it was totally worth the trip. From the doorman to the front desk, the service was excellent and very welcoming. We stored our luggage and kept bothering the bellboys to get things out of our bags and change clothes, but the Korean staff enthusiastically helped us every time without any hint of impatience. Check-in wasn't until 3 PM, and we arrived at 11 AM. We went out for some BCH fried chicken, and when we came back before 2 PM, the front desk let us check into our room early. We didn't book a sea view because we spent all our time at the pool. We swam during the day and went back at night – the pool lighting at night was absolutely stunning. We only got back to the room at 10 PM and just went straight to sleep, which saved us some money. Although the room wasn't huge, it was very quiet, and the bedding was super comfortable and clean; I slept really well. The transportation is extremely convenient; the 600 bus is 4500 KRW per person, point-to-point to and from the airport. A taxi to the Jusangjeolli Cliff was also very convenient, only 6000 KRW. Most of the guests were Korean, not many Chinese. The brunch right outside the hotel is absolutely delicious. The hotel's boardwalk is also beautiful, leading straight down to a beach.

GGuest UserAll of the hotel staff we met were nice and friendly! However, there could be a lot more that can be done to maintain the hotel better. The cabinet was dusty, the basin tap sprays water onto the basin so that it was wet whenever I used it. The toilet door handle was broken but was glued back. All of the lamp shields in my room were slanted - this is not a practical problem but these are easy fixes . The hotel could also fix big bottle of shampoo and onto the wall instead of giving us shampoo bars. The only upside was the bedding seems quite clean. Sorry to the nice staff we have met but I dont think it is a 5-star hotel.
