The Shilla Jeju

Even though it's an older hotel, it's very well-maintained, and the rooms are cleaned promptly. The public areas are also quite nice. The check-in staff speak Korean and Chinese, and there are also Chinese-speaking staff available to answer questions. However, nearby dining options are a bit far and require a walk. The restaurants next to Lotte aren't very good and are a bit overpriced. The bread and desserts in the lobby are also delicious; if you go too late, some items are already sold out by locals, and they're not overly sweet. The red bean and chocolate ones are great, but the cream and butter sticks are just average. Getting to the beach requires going downhill, and due to the location, most hotels nearby have the same situation where you have to go down and then climb back up. Overall, it's good. Aside from not providing disposable toiletries, it's pretty much on par with hotels in Sanya, and the room rates aren't inflated.

Although the facilities are 20 years old, they are very clean and there are 220V power outlets, which is convenient. The main room is also very large, and the 1.5-meter bed feels as big as a 1.8-meter bed in China, so even a family of four with older children would be perfectly fine. Aside from only having breakfast for two, everything else is great. Plus, there's a bakery in the hotel lobby where you can buy pastries, and a 7-Eleven convenience store nearby, which is super convenient.

The room is spacious enough for two adults and two children. The indoor and outdoor pools are great. There's also a kids' playground and a Nintendo Switch, so both adults and children will be happy.

It is close to Seogwipo Olle Market and the intercity bus terminal. A guesthouse renovated from the old Midojang. A good place to stay for a day or two. I visited Mido Hostel again for the first time in almost 10 years. I accidentally stayed for 5 consecutive nights, forgetting my age, and in a dormitory at that. There was nothing uncomfortable about sleeping, but I was embarrassed by the shared restrooms and bathrooms. It was exactly the same as before. The shared kitchen has been replaced by a container on the rooftop, and the reception area where the kitchen used to be has been changed into a bar or cafe. I felt like I would be a nuisance, so I didn't even think about going to the cafe except to ask for a towel. In the evening, a small party, like a dinner gathering, was held among the guests. I think it would be a good experience for young people.

Hotel is quite nice! Restaurants downstairs are pretty good! Almost a perfect stay till the last night (25 Apr) we went into the Jaju store at the basement, one of the lady shop assistant was the only rude person i have met in my whole jeju trip, she's showing a poker face, maybe because its almost closing time, we started to take clothes to fitting room, totally no clue even we tried our best to speak to her, she seems not able to understand English at all. Even when we were at cashier, she was still keeping her poker face poker, quite upset for this part 🥲 Other than that, hotel service and room equipment are pretty good, love it 👍🎉🎉🎉

This is by far the best ocean-view hotel I've ever stayed in. In one word: amazing, in two words: perfect, in three words: absolutely unbeatable! You definitely get what you pay for, and it's totally worth it! The infinity pool and the incredible coastline perfectly capture the essence of this island 🏝️. It's such a chill vacation vibe!

We are a little disappointed by our stay, particularly given the price tag. Everyone was very friendly and the hotel looked beautiful, but we weren’t too happy with our room. We had booked an ondol room with 3 futons and we were given 1 double futon and 1 not prepared. Staff were very quick to address our request, though it did take a couple of attempts for the room staff to understand what we meant (they then unrolled the mattress but still prepare a double). Finally when they gave us the correct configuration as in the app (3 separate futons), these were sloppily unrolled and thrown on the floor. We had a lovely stay otherwise but our initial welcome didn’t really feel fitting of a 5 star hotel where we had paid 150 USD for a room. I mentioned this to the staff at check out but they didn’t seem too bothered.

Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted. After being assigned a room, I requested a room change because I wasn't happy with the view. They kindly accommodated my request and moved me to a room with a much better view, which I really appreciated. The facilities were very clean, and both the indoor and outdoor pools were excellent. The hot tub, in particular, was fantastic.

This was our second stay at this hotel after we decided to prolong our Jeju roundtrip and come to Seogwipo again. First of all this small city has so much charm and a lot to offer for slow pace travellers like us. The hotel staff is very friendly and correct. The room is very clean and complete for a microwave meal and easy trash disposal system. The location is perfect for nice hikes or exploring other parts of the island as the bus system here is very well connected. Shower pressure is great, and hot. The bed is comfortable, though too narrow for Westerners. Wifi only let's you connect to 3 devices, which needs some coordination if you are using more than that.

This is the best hotel out of 3 hotel we stayed at when we were in Jeju. I love the location, the rooms were spacious, staff were very friendly, respectful and helpful. The view out to nature was amazing and calming. My kids enjoyed it. The pool is heated and was beautiful and it was perfect because the weather was cold. I love the idea of the DJ pool night time to just enjoy live music and chill time. Also very convenient with 7-11 store with other shops that are well affordable to buy necessities. The room service was also amazing. We ordered our food and it didn’t take long for them to be delivered. WE LOVE THIS HOTEL. A must to stay at if when we go again.
