Mountain View Hotels in Nagano

It is very close to Nagano station. Actually, you can walk directly from the station into the hotel building without going outside. It was a simple hotel room, but it had what I needed. Friendly staff.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and it was a really clean and comfortable hotel and just a 7 minute walk from Nagano Station, a 7 minute walk to bus stop 23 for the Snow Monkey Park and close to a variety of restaurants and bars. It is also 15/20 minutes to Zenko-Ji which is a beautiful Buddhist temple and well worth visiting. We didn’t have breakfast included during our stay but other guests said that it was really good. Our room was really clean, spacious and comfortable with a firm mattress, a tv, toiletries and a kettle. In reception you can help yourself to teas, coffee and other toiletries for free which was helpful. The staff were really friendly and patient as we don’t speak Japanese. Our room was next to the railway line but the sound proofing was excellent and it was so quiet and we had two good nights of sleep. A comfortable and clean hotel that is conveniently located for exploring Negano.

About the front desk First of all, I arrived at night, but the atmosphere and attitude of the front desk staff was not very good. They did not help me with my luggage, so I used the cart at the entrance myself. About the amenities The amenities were very substantial. There were amenities in the space next to the elevator, and I had to take what I needed myself. One thing I would like to mention in particular is the wooden toothbrush. It was very comfortable to use, my mouth felt good, and I was impressed by how wonderful it was. About the room The room was large, but there was a lot of wasted space, and the humidity felt very strong overall. The floor was carpeted, but it was damp, and I felt uncomfortable without slippers. The bed was comfortable, but the humidity was a concern here as well. About the room cleaning I stayed for three nights in a row this time, but the room was not cleaned, and bath towels, towels, toilet paper, yukata, etc. were left outside the door. I think they would clean it if you asked. About the hot spring The hot spring was on the third floor, and it was wonderful. There was an indoor bath and an outdoor bath, but the outdoor bath was especially wonderful. The bathroom was clean and had the full Sekkisei line of products, so the amenities were plentiful. About the laundry service There was a washing machine and dryer, and detergent was provided free of charge, so it was easy to use. About the parking lot I was very happy to be able to use it for free. It's a 5-minute drive from Nagano Interchange, so I think it's a very convenient location for those who use this place as a base for traveling by car.

The hotel located in the area of government buildings. It is therefore very good for business people. They have five restaurants. But because we did not arrange for hotel breakfast, it was a bit difficult to get breakfast around the hotel. But there is a convenient store nearby. The room was clean. Reception gave us a high floor room with beautiful city view. Appreciate that. The hotel has three big car parks. Hotel guest needed to pay parking fee of 1000 yen for throughout the stay, which I think is reasonable. The hotel is actually well located - close enough to the sightseeing spots in the city centre.

Very close to Nagano Station. You exit out of the station. Find the overpass that takes you across to Don Quijote Discount Store. There is an escalator that takes you down to the street level. Turn right. You'll walk past the Alpico Bus Ticket Office. This is where you buy the bus tickets to go to the three shrines in Togakushi (bus number 70, approximately one bus per hour). Keep walking until you see a Chinese restaurant. The hotel is the next building. We had the standard twin room. Room size is OK as expected. The decor in our room more than made up for it. That was a really nice surprise. I love Fujisan and wood-block prints and we were going to visit Hokusai Museum in nearby Obuse the next day! Breakfast area is in front of the lifts. The hotel has a business hotel feel to it. I really enjoyed the buffet breakfast (probably my second favourite). Of all the places we stayed in on this trip, this is the only place with noodles, five grain rice and Asian greens. The Asian greens were served at room temperature with some special sauce, not plain. The sweet bread roll was very yummy. And if I remembered correctly, it even had apple cider vinegar! It also seemed that if you needed to, you could take breakfast with you as the hotel provided takeaway containers. The soup was already in takeaway containers. We definitely need more than two nights to explore Nagano!

We had trouble finding this place as there is no English name on the building. Lucky we had a map and did not walk too far, before asking someone where it was. We were standing right outside the building!! It does not look like a hotel from outside, but once through the doors its is very nice with a spacious reception area. Room was quite large for Japan with all amenities you would need for your stay and a fairly large bathroom. Beds were very hard and firm, as were the pillows, akin to sleeping on the floor. We were facing the station, but did not hear any trains. If you stay on this side of the hotel you will be amazed by the amount of bikes parked at the station. Not sure how anyone would find which was theirs. There is a 7 eleven just down the street, so handy for supplies and a couple of restaurants on the station. We did not have time to venture to the other side of the station due to meeting up with different tour guides. We were only there for one night and had to leave extremely early to tour to see the snow monkeys, so grabbed an enjoyable coffee from the station. Nothing really special about this hotel, except for the reception staff who were lovely and very helpful.

Due to an older building, the corridor location wall has moldy appearance. The room is relatively clean, and I feel that the room is more hygienic than the corridor. The location is just in the mountains, and it feels a bit far from driving. In terms of service, as soon as you arrive, check in, there are staff to explain the hotel facilities, take you to visit, take you to the room. I have a special dinner for this order, there is a special person to hold the meal and explain, there is a room to sit, a big room, a quiet room. Breakfast will be eaten in the lobby of a restaurant, and there are special people to explain. 2 meals are full and taste medium.

長野駅界隈に複数あるビジネスホテルの1つですが、真っ先にお勧めできない要素がいくつかあります。 各客室の広さは一般的なビジネスホテルと同程度で、浴室含め清潔に保たれているのは言うまでもありません。浴室は、ビジネスホテルによく見られる、もはや落としきれない程の汚れは見られない上に、意外にもバスタブは広めであるため、湯を張ってゆったりと浸かることも出来ると思います。 多くの東横INNと同様に、非常に多い客室と比較してもエレベーターの数が2基と少なく、少なくとも休日は目的のフロアになかなかエレベーターが到着出来ず、イライラさせられることもしばしばあります。このホテルの最大の欠点は、チェックイン・チェックアウトのロビーの狭さにあります。特に休日は多くの宿泊客が訪れるため、エレベーターホール前などは大混雑し、場合により身動き出来ないことがあります。それらの客への対応にスタッフが借り出されるため、チェックイン・チェックアウトは専用の機器の使用を促されるのですが、その機器の操作になれていない宿泊客も多く、特にチェックイン手続きにモタモタされることが多いです。結局スタッフとの対話形式でチェックイン手続きをした方が早いことが多く、専用機器導入による効率化が本末転倒になると思います。 長野駅の東口は、善行寺口と比較すると飲食店の数が少なく、食事をする場所が限られてしまう可能性があると思います。その分、夜間は静かに過ごせるでしょう。但し、東口から歩道橋や信号などをやや迂回しながらホテルに向かう必要があり、雨天等悪天候時はやや億劫に感じるかもしれません。天気が悪くなく、観光客もそれ程多くない比較的閑散する時期に利用すると快適に感じられるホテルだと思います。 各客室への入室は、専用のカードキーが必要です。宿泊する客室フロアへ向かうためのエレベーター内にもカードキーをかざすセンサーがあり、それをしないと目的のフロアに停まりません。セキュリティはしっかりしているホテルだと思います。 This is one of several business hotels in the Nagano Station area, but there are a few factors that make it the first one I would not recommend. The size of each room is comparable to that of a typical business hotel, not to mention the cleanliness of the rooms, including the bathrooms. The bathrooms are not soiled to the point of no longer being able to be cleaned, as is often the case in business hotels, and the bathtub is surprisingly spacious, so you can fill it with hot water for a relaxing soak. As with many Toyoko INNs, there are only two elevators compared to the very large number of guest rooms, and it's often frustrating, at least on holidays, when the elevator cannot easily reach the desired floor. The biggest drawback of this hotel is the small size of the check-in and check-out lobby. Especially on holidays, many guests visit the hotel, and the area in front of the elevator hall is crowded, sometimes making it difficult for guests to move. Because staff members are dispatched to deal with these guests, they are urged to use special equipment for check-in and check-out, but many guests are not familiar with the operation of such equipment, and they are often slowed down especially in the check-in procedure. In the end, it's often quicker to check in by talking with the staff, and I believe that the introduction of dedicated equipment has essentially reversed the efficiency gains made by the introduction of such equipment. There are fewer restaurants at the East Exit of Nagano Station than at the Zenkoji Exit, which may limit the number of places to eat. For this reason, it will be quiet at night. However, it's necessary to go from the East Exit to the hotel, bypassing the pedestrian bridge and traffic lights somewhat, which may be a bit of a hassle in bad weather, such as rain.
