Hotels with Breakfast in Nagano

The hotel is very clean and well located. Hotel has been around for many years so can’t expect it to be modern and fancy but everything else is good.

JR長野駅からすぐの場所にあり雨天時は地下通路が使えるので傘いらずです。東急百貨店や駅ビルも隣接、すぐ隣に農協の売店もあり地元のリンゴや野菜を安く変えました。部屋は明るくて広く清潔感があり、駅前にもかかわらず静かで快適でした。朝食が品数が多く味付けもよく美味しくいただきました。全国旅行割の活用でお得に宿泊できましたが、次回も長野での宿泊ならここを選びたいと思います。

We have been traveling around the world for the past two years and we have stayed in many hotels. I have never written a bad review of a hotel before. This is the reason I think you should reconsider your reservation at the Mecure hotel and spa. It’s a long review, but I believe it is helpful for future travelers. We have been traveling around Japan for the past three months and we have stayed in numerous hotels in numerous cities. We absolutely love Japan and we have no complaints for any of the other hotels that we have stayed in. However, the Mecure Hotel Resort and Spa does not come close to meeting our expectations. It is the only hotel where no staff greeted us upon arrival to help with luggage. It is the only hotel that didn’t allow us to check in one hour early. Even though we know that there was only a 5-10% occupancy rate (based on the cars in the parking lot), they would not allow us to go to our room at 2 PM. - we had to wait until 3 p.m. They even kept the keys from us and we had to wait in line again to pick them up at 3 PM. One would think that they would have the welcome lounge open for people to wait for their rooms, but it doesn’t open until 3 PM. We had to lock up our luggage in order to keep it there for the hour. It was the only hotel that made us pay for ice. I did get a cup of ice in the lounge (3 cubes), but they told us we couldn’t bring it to our room. They offered us a welcome drink, but they wanted me to access the coupon on my phone on my Accor account yet they had the written coupon right there in front of them. Made no sense! Breakfast is only served from 7 AM until 9:30 AM, with the last orders being taken at 9 AM. For those of us who don’t like to get up early in the morning, that is a detrimental aspect of this hotel. We do a lot of research before we book a room at any hotel. We chose the classic twin room with a sofa bed and the mountain view. It very specifically listed “Mountain View,” and we knew we wanted that view based on our examination of Google maps of the hotel. When we arrived at our room, we looked out to see the parking lot and then the highway, and then about 5 to 7 miles in the distance we saw some mountains (see pictures below). We went downstairs to request a room change to the side that looked at the beautiful mountains and their response was “every room has a Mountain View.” That was not acceptable for us, so we had to push until they moved our room. Interestingly, the room they moved us to had a map of the mountain range that is the view. There was no such mountain map in the other room. We just examined the hotels website, and now none of the rooms have Mountain View listed, except for the junior suite. Our guess is that too many people complained when they were put in the rooms that have a view of the mountains 5 to 7 miles away. The bathroom is very very small. The furniture is adequate at best. The carpets are incredibly dirty. There are stains everywhere in the hallways and in the rooms

We stayed here for a couple of nights and it was a really clean and comfortable hotel and just a 7 minute walk from Nagano Station, a 7 minute walk to bus stop 23 for the Snow Monkey Park and close to a variety of restaurants and bars. It is also 15/20 minutes to Zenko-Ji which is a beautiful Buddhist temple and well worth visiting. We didn’t have breakfast included during our stay but other guests said that it was really good. Our room was really clean, spacious and comfortable with a firm mattress, a tv, toiletries and a kettle. In reception you can help yourself to teas, coffee and other toiletries for free which was helpful. The staff were really friendly and patient as we don’t speak Japanese. Our room was next to the railway line but the sound proofing was excellent and it was so quiet and we had two good nights of sleep. A comfortable and clean hotel that is conveniently located for exploring Negano.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities are great, with a hot spring in the hotel coupled with nice selection of free ice cream and soy sauce noodles. Nothing but praises

I chose this hotel because of its location but also because they have great customer service. From the time I booked via Agoda, I had some questions for the hotel ahead of time, and they replied to every question,e.g. their luggage delivery cut-off times,etc with utmost clarity and replied promptly and frequently (compared to another hotel I booked previously). It gave me no worries that I would find the hotel I booked in perfect order when I arrived. Amenities were complete (some are available in the room but also more in the lobby area) and the room was clean. They gave us new towels every day (hanging outside my door or quickly given to me when they saw me in the hall) even if I didn't want to have maid service. They also asked me if they could do a very quick removal of trash which I appreciated. The housekeeper was also very cheerful and happy at all times :-) There's a convenience store on the ground floor, but also many other restaurants and shops around the area. the lobby is on the 5th floor and an elevator brings you up to the rooms. It's a perfect place to base ourselves especially since we were taking day trips out to Hotaka, Matsumoto, Shiojiri, and Naraijuku. All these with easy train rides from Nagano. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. They do go out of their way to make customers satisfied. The night front desk agent who was helping us with arrangements for luggage delivery didn't speak English too well, but you can see him trying his best. Between us doing google translate and his dedication to making us understand each other, we were both happy and satisfied. I would come back here to stay.

I should have booked ”no smoking” from the official site of the inn, but I received a ”smoking” in the reservation completion email, and I called the front desk while tilting my neck, and I received a guide that there was no non smoking room. Crying crying even though the budget is over＋ I switched to the room called J floor for 1,000 yen, and this was unexpectedly a ”hit” judgment. It was a good Nagano trip 々. ＜J Floor Features＞ Room is clean and spacious, air conditioning and futons are usually costing anime tea Although it is not a dripping type, it seems that it was developed with the manufacturer and the chitin. It is characterized by the presence of drinks. There are two kinds of coffee, multiple teas, one kind of tea ... and 5 ～ 6 kinds and there are many variety. I checked in at about 15:00 and felt that I should have enjoyed it. Also, the face washing form is not clearly cheap. The comb is also easy to use with both rough eyes and a little fine, and it is a room with a lot of happy measures for women. On the other hand, the J floor sells the good view, and the view is certainly good, but I think it is NG to ask for the beauty of nature (mountain and tree) because Nagano city itself is a city. ＜ The atmosphere of the whole hotel ＞ Because of the business hotel and the JAL series, there are many guests who seem to be business trips, and tourist guests are also more calm. Inevitably, the dining hall was also calm and quiet. ＜ Dinner ＞ 3 kinds of appetizers, fried fin soup, seafood, water dumplings, Shinshu premium beef suji steak, black fried soy sauce, almond tofu [Chinese full course] Both menus are delicious beyond the price It was not a feeling of ”excellent”, but it is arranged in the taste that everyone receives in the price that is sufficiently reached, and it is hard and delicious and the satisfaction is very high. Now there are some prefectures, and in the future, we will do it nationwide, so the restaurant here is absolutely the aim. If you say strong, it is not for those who want to peek into the dishes with young and giggling. ＜ Breakfast ＞ Japanese and Western mixed cherry blossoms with local ingredients Viking form Business hotels have a large number of items, and there is no misunderstanding in the range of eating. There are several videos that you're introducing, so please refer to them.I liked ”handmade ume-name mushroom”, ”tempura”, ”miso wae of soba fruit” and ”oyaki” privately. The dishes related to miso are using Shinshu miso and you can enjoy ”Nagano no Taste”, so I think you should try at least one kind. (I'm lost whether I can write my true sound, but it's better to eat at this hotel than eat at the outside shop) Nagano Station ～ Based on the good location between Zenko Ji Temple, I think it was a very good hotel. Next time I go sightseeing in Nagano, I will not dare to change the inn from here.

Went in April 2023. The hotel is walkable to the only natural hot spring facility in town. 100 for Service. Special shoutout to the service staff! Location wise, it is centrally located within Nagano, however transportation wise would be more convenient to stay at Nagano station. The hotel is quaint and quiet with decent restaurants available within the building. Appreciate the flexibility to extend my stay for one night at Hotel Kokusai 21. Local drivers know the location of the building which is convenient for people who does not speak Japanese. Booked a room for 3, appreciated that the sofa bed was set up prior to arrival (some hotels only does this after you have reached, which increases waiting time.) Working fridge. Requested for a change in kettle and they provided one swiftly despite the language barrier. The hotel lobby is also a joy to walk into daily as they provide an exhibition of a samurai celebrating boy's day in Japan (5th May) with koi flags hanging at the back. A souvenir shop is also located within the lobby for last minute shoppers. Fun fact, this souvenir shop is not more expensive than at the train station.

We had trouble finding this place as there is no English name on the building. Lucky we had a map and did not walk too far, before asking someone where it was. We were standing right outside the building!! It does not look like a hotel from outside, but once through the doors its is very nice with a spacious reception area. Room was quite large for Japan with all amenities you would need for your stay and a fairly large bathroom. Beds were very hard and firm, as were the pillows, akin to sleeping on the floor. We were facing the station, but did not hear any trains. If you stay on this side of the hotel you will be amazed by the amount of bikes parked at the station. Not sure how anyone would find which was theirs. There is a 7 eleven just down the street, so handy for supplies and a couple of restaurants on the station. We did not have time to venture to the other side of the station due to meeting up with different tour guides. We were only there for one night and had to leave extremely early to tour to see the snow monkeys, so grabbed an enjoyable coffee from the station. Nothing really special about this hotel, except for the reception staff who were lovely and very helpful.

Very close to Nagano Station. You exit out of the station. Find the overpass that takes you across to Don Quijote Discount Store. There is an escalator that takes you down to the street level. Turn right. You'll walk past the Alpico Bus Ticket Office. This is where you buy the bus tickets to go to the three shrines in Togakushi (bus number 70, approximately one bus per hour). Keep walking until you see a Chinese restaurant. The hotel is the next building. We had the standard twin room. Room size is OK as expected. The decor in our room more than made up for it. That was a really nice surprise. I love Fujisan and wood-block prints and we were going to visit Hokusai Museum in nearby Obuse the next day! Breakfast area is in front of the lifts. The hotel has a business hotel feel to it. I really enjoyed the buffet breakfast (probably my second favourite). Of all the places we stayed in on this trip, this is the only place with noodles, five grain rice and Asian greens. The Asian greens were served at room temperature with some special sauce, not plain. The sweet bread roll was very yummy. And if I remembered correctly, it even had apple cider vinegar! It also seemed that if you needed to, you could take breakfast with you as the hotel provided takeaway containers. The soup was already in takeaway containers. We definitely need more than two nights to explore Nagano!
