Takaragawa Onsen Ousenkaku ★★★
"We went there for the outdoor onsen which was great but service could be improved"
Minakami Kogen Hotel 200 ★★★★
"If you're a foreigner, a translation tool is essential because the staff don't speak English, or their accent was hard for us to understand. When we couldn't communicate, they seemed annoyed (90% of the staff didn't smile at us). There was an older staff member who was friendly, especially the one handling ski activity bookings. 🤬🤬 Absolutely terrible. The food was mediocre, not much variety or taste. The room was clean, and the onsen bathroom with amenities was excellent. In summary, due to poor communication and the staff's lack of enthusiasm in recommending snow activities, my trip ended in tears 😭😭. I had planned to do many snow activities, but instead, I just walked around, built snowmen, and rolled in the snow. I won't be coming back here next trip. I'll look for a hotel that's more welcoming to Thais."
Zazan Minakami ★★★
"Everything is fine"
Matsunoi ★★★★
"Upon arrival, the check-in instructions were thorough. Every time I passed by an employee, everyone greeted me and I felt very comfortable. In the room, the air conditioning was a little difficult to understand, it took some time to find the remote control for the lights, and the sound of drainage from other rooms was a bit bothersome. However, the bath I went for this time was the best. It was spacious and clean, and I was able to enjoy the open-air bath, so I had a really relaxing time. Next time I would like to use the private open-air bath. The buffet meal was delicious and had enough quantity for our family. However, if it wasn't the final time, I wonder if there would have been a little more variety? I thought so. I was able to walk around the garden and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I still want to use it."
Kurayashiki ★★★
"This is an inn where you can really feel the Japanese atmosphere. With the lake stretching out before you, you can wake up in the morning in a pleasant mood. For breakfast, we had rice with rice toppings and seasonal vegetables."
Houshi Onsen Chojukan ★★★★
"They employ Nepalese staff in the customer service department, so it should be fine for foreigners too. I simply soaked in the hot springs and released my stress."
Tatsumikan ★★★
"It was a nice, clean inn. There were many different services available, and I regret not checking in sooner. The food was also very delicious."
Minakami Onsen Aratashi Minakami ★★★★
"The hotel service was great, I left items on the bus and the front desk immediately asked the bus company with me and the missing items were recovered, thanks to the front desk The hotel rooms were clean and had a private bath"
Hotel Lomosa ★★★
"The second parking lot was nearby, which was very helpful. The service was also very good."

Chalet la Neige
"Highly recommended. The host took very good care of me. Breakfast and dinner were provided. It was like fine dining. Every meal was delicious. The room was clean. There was an onsen and the atmosphere was very good. If I come back to this area, I will stay here again. If I come in a month with snow, it should be very good."
Ryokan Tanigawa
"I visited this inn for work. The sister inn Senjyuan was really good, so I decided to stay here this time! I wanted to relax by myself, so I booked one with an open-air bath. I made a reservation on the day, but they were flexible in their response. The hospitality was reminiscent of Senjyuan, from the moment I arrived until the time I was shown around. The food was also very satisfying, and made generous use of local ingredients. I really enjoyed this traditional hot spring inn."
Sarugakyo Hotel
"We stayed for one night in late November. It was a shame that the autumn leaves were at their final stage. The tofu kaiseki cuisine was delicious, tasty, and colorful. Many of the surrounding hotels and inns have closed, so the scenery feels lonely. I recommend this place for those who want to enjoy both the baths and the food."
Fukunoya
"The place was clean and the hot springs were great, but when we arrived for dinner, which was supposed to start at 6:30 pm, it wasn't ready. We were kept waiting, and even after being seated, it took over 30 minutes for the shabu-shabu pot and meat to arrive... some people waited for an hour. The website showed luxurious tempura and other dishes, but all we got was shabu-shabu, sushi, simmered dishes, and jelly. Breakfast was also disappointing, and this was with two meals included, costing over 10,000 yen per person compared to a room-only stay! And to top it all off, there were only about five staff members, so I wonder how they plan to get through a public holiday... All the staff were foreigners, and their Japanese was broken. It was heartbreaking to see one person working so hard and apologizing. It's such a shame, especially since they said they were trying to make a living by renovating a closed-down inn."
Minakami Hotel Juraku
"I think it's a good place to reset. It's nice that you can drink as much as you want from check-in to check-out. I came by car, so it was a shame that I couldn't drink in the morning. It can't be helped because of the location, but the roads are narrow when you come by car, and the Joetsu Line runs right there, so if you are worried about the sound of freight trains at night, it might be better not to go to the river side. I love trains, so I was very satisfied."
Taiyokan
"It was my first trip to Gunma Onsen, and I was surprised at how few buses there were, but there was a bus stop near the hotel, so that was a relief."
Kinseikan Seseragi
"It was my first trip to Japan with my family~ We enjoyed the hot springs to our heart's content, and everyone was so friendly that the whole family was satisfied~♡"
Nitaya
"I used it for the first time. It was a very nice inn and it felt like a "long-established inn". I stayed in a room with a toilet because it was vacant on the day. The toilet in the room was very comfortable with a washing toilet seat. It was very helpful because I was sick, but it was cold because it was in a place where heating was not good at all. There was no washing toilet seat in the shared toilet. The hot springs were hot indoor and hot open-air. There are 6 washrooms, but there are 2 showers, and there are only 2 at the end, so it is inconvenient if you are with others. Coffee, tea, miso soup, etc. were placed in the shared pot. The room has hot water in a thermos and a green tea set. I sold cup ramen to the inn, but the convenience store nearby (a few minutes by car) sold lunch boxes even if I went around 4 pm. I used the inn of Sarugakyo Onsen for the first time this season, but there are few guests in every inn (it is quiet and non-billy for me). I don't know if the sarugakuyo Onsen itself is lonely or the inn is narrowing down the guests, but the inn I used was a good inn everywhere."
Bettei Senjyuan
"The room is very nice and Japanese style"

"As a working couple with a child preparing for his junior high school entrance exams, we were exhausted when we visited. We often visit inns affiliated with the Japan Society for the Preservation of Secret Hot Springs, but the hot springs here are undoubtedly better. As we're in our 40s, we were more interested in a quiet place to relax than money, so the age group was older and there weren't many inbound tourists. This was perfect. Because it was quiet, it was ideal for tutoring elementary and junior high school students in their rooms. We were grateful. The food was so filling we couldn't finish it. The seasoning wasn't too strong, so it was perfect for our family. For some reason, the drinks in the restaurant were so cheap that it almost made us worry. That's why we bought lots of manju as souvenirs on our way home. We'd love to come back."
Pension Asanebou
"This is the best stay I’ve ever stayed It’s a family run pension with two super friendly golden retrievers, the whole house is newly built, extremely clean, and decorated with good taste The dinner and breakfast are western- Japanese fusion, everything is homemade, definitely worth trying There is a nice and clean private onsen, or you can take a bus to have a day trip to other bigger onsen Minakami itself is a countryside area, and the pension is right next to the bus station There is literally nothing around the stay, so you need to get everything you need in Minakami station, but I think it’s a characteristic rather than disadvantage"
Apple farm glamping villa HARASAWA
Hotel Yu-No-Jin
"The atmosphere is very good."
