I am a local of Macau. I booked Treasure Island Hotel because it was my wedding day. I thought the scenery opposite Treasure Island was very beautiful so I booked this hotel. However, the overall experience of staying here left a deep impression on me. There were some good and some bad aspects.
1. When arriving at the hotel, going to the room and leaving the hotel, there are porters to help with luggage, which is eye-catching and worthy of praise.
2. When I checked in, the front desk staff said that I had booked a Fireworks Twin Room. I didn't realize it was not this room at the time. When I arrived at the room, I found that the view was completely different from the room type I booked. I had booked a Star Suite with a King-Sized Double Bed. How could they make a mistake? This had never happened to me even when I stayed in mainland China. I called customer service and it was changed.
3. When checking in, I forgot that I used a mainland phone number for the reservation. When the staff asked for my phone number, I told them my Macau phone number. The staff said it was OK. I only discovered this later, so the staff was a bit careless.
4. Since there was a wedding banquet on that day, we prepared a wedding cake, but because we changed rooms, the staff who answered the phone had a very bad attitude before we called the front desk to inform them.
5. The kettle in the room was broken. I didn't check the room properly. I called customer service to replace it but no one answered after waiting for nearly 3 minutes.
6. The pillow is too soft
The above is the experience of this stay. To be honest, there is a long way to go between the five-star Treasure Island Hotel and the real five-star service.
