"Not enough Chinese food options, I'd suggest adding more. The service was excellent! Ola and Yasmin were super helpful! My English isn't great, but they were both very patient with me! ❤️"

📍 Karnak Temple Street, Luxor

"A budget hotel that wins points for its central location and amazing view of Luxor Temple. It's a perfect spot for accessing the Nile and local museums. The reception staff were friendly, though the overall organization was lacking. We were asked for our room number four times at breakfast because they didn't have us registered correctly. The food is simple, and it would be an improvement to offer two eggs per person. The room (416) had a couple of issues: a leaking sink pipe and a balcony door that wouldn't close properly. We asked to change rooms, but the other option was worse. For the price and location, it's fine for a single night, but don't expect a flawless stay."

Steigenberger Nile Palace Luxor - Convention Center

📍 Khaled Ben Walid St, Luxor

"This hotel sets a high standard in Luxor, even though its facilities are a bit dated. It was probably a branded international chain hotel in the past, but has since been de-flagged. I chose a balcony room, which offered views of the swimming pool downstairs and the Nile River. The hotel has its own small pier, where you can arrange a sunset felucca ride. The Valley of the Kings is visible across the Nile, and you can even see it lit up at night."

📍 Gazirat Al Awameyah, Luxor, Madinet Al Bayadeyah

"My room and my neighbouring room share one door. And we can hear clearly what our neighbouring room guests are talking. The facilities are not quite convenient."

📍 Khaled Ibn Al Walid, Gazirat Al Awameyah, Luxor

"The river view room really has an unbeatable environment. You can watch the sunrise, sunset, and hot air balloons from the room. The interior design is also beautiful, with a European-style flair. The facilities are a bit old, and the service is just average."

📍 MJQJ+5F4, Al Gwazat, Gazirat Al Awameyah, Luxor

"The lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. I arrived quite early by train, around 9 AM, and she was incredibly accommodating, offering an early check-in after just a 40-minute wait for the room to be prepared. The place is very quiet. Getting a taxi to attractions on the East Bank is easy and costs around 50 EGP. The surroundings are lovely, and you can even watch hot air balloons from the terrace!"

📍 Khaled Ibn Al Walid, Gazirat Al Awameyah, Luxor

"👍🏻 Absolutely fantastic! The backyard is right by the Nile, and you can book a boat trip to watch the sunset in the evening – it definitely exceeded my expectations. I was traveling solo, and they still took the boat out just for me. Plus, the room offers stunning views of the Nile."

"Amenities: Excellent! The room amenities are the most comprehensive I've seen in the 10+ hotels I've stayed at in Egypt, including slippers, loofahs, and a bathtub. Cleanliness: Very clean. Environment: Excellent. Service: Excellent! They kindly upgraded us to a Nile River view room for free, and we got to watch the sunset. Special thanks to the front desk!"

"While I can overlook the dated equipment, the lack of hygiene in the room was a serious issue, the linens looked like they had not been replaced for a new guest. Additionally, the breakfast service felt very restrictive, with a limit of only one egg per person"

"The hotel facilities and breakfast were excellent. After coming back from the Valley of the Kings/Habu City, I immediately relaxed by the pool, swimming until dusk while watching the Nile River. As the lights on the dock began to glow, I witnessed both the beautiful sunset and the stunning night view of the pier! It was absolutely gorgeous!"

"I wouldn't recommend staying here. When we checked in, we reported that the kettle was broken, but then they accused us of breaking it and forced us to pay 1000 EGP upon checkout. I'm curious, what kind of kettle costs 1000 EGP? Furthermore, the attitude towards Chinese guests during check-in was very poor; it took half an hour just to wait for check-in, and the whole process took 50 minutes. Also, if you don't tip the staff, they won't even talk to you. I gave 50 EGP and they still wouldn't help with my luggage; the bellboy explicitly asked for 100 EGP 🕺. I really don't understand where all the good reviews are coming from. As a diamond member, I rarely leave bad reviews, but I just couldn't hold back this time; a negative review is absolutely necessary."

"Although it's an older, well-established local hotel with an excellent location, the room facilities are quite dated. The river view is also inconsistent, with some rooms having obstructions. On the positive side, the public garden areas are beautiful, and breakfast times are very accommodating for early risers/busy travelers. Additionally, the dinner buffet offers great value for money."

"When I pulled a drawer, the handle came right off. Then, when I turned on the bathroom faucet, that also came off! I quickly put them back on, worried I'd be charged for them. Overall, it didn't feel worth the price. Though, perhaps other hotels in Luxor are even worse."

"The only downside to this hotel was that my room had a side view of the Nile, otherwise everything else was great, including a lovely little balcony. The location is excellent – not only do you get a view of the Nile, but it's also close to the pool, dining options, and hot air balloon bookings. Magic Horizon is just across the street, and King Tut's is upstairs in a nearby alley. There are two Chinese restaurants within walking distance, and Luxor Temple is also walkable if you're up for it. The breakfast was very good. Although the elevator is small, it's pretty normal, not one of those run-down versions. The shower and bed were both good."

"This is hands down the best hotel I've stayed at in Egypt, even though it wasn't the most expensive. The rooms are huge and spacious, and they even come with a balcony overlooking the Nile River. All the toiletries you could need are provided, and it's conveniently located for getting around. The hotel has clearly put a lot of effort into its decor, with many ancient Egyptian paintings. The third photo shows the view of the Nile from the hotel's balcony."
