The only downside to this hotel was that my room had a side view of the Nile, otherwise everything else was great, including a lovely little balcony. The location is excellent – not only do you get a view of the Nile, but it's also close to the pool, dining options, and hot air balloon bookings. Magic Horizon is just across the street, and King Tut's is upstairs in a nearby alley. There are two Chinese restaurants within walking distance, and Luxor Temple is also walkable if you're up for it. The breakfast was very good. Although the elevator is small, it's pretty normal, not one of those run-down versions. The shower and bed were both good.

Good, big apartment, we slept in the nearest bedroom (they only 3). Mattress, pillows comfortable, great sleep. Water pressure is good, towels, bed linen clean, cotton. Each room has a heater. A beautiful living room, there is everything in the kitchen to cook. We have arranged a transfer to the airport, thank you.

veronica makThere are a few things of the Nefertiti Hotel: 1. Excellent location (Luxor temple and museum is within working distance; a shopping street located just behind the hotel, with reasonable (bargained) price; supermarket round the corner with super delicious mango in summer); 2. Good buffet breakfast with plenty of fruit; 3. creative room service (with lovely shaped towels which surprised us every day).

terentiusThis is a decent, economically priced hotel. The key benefit of this hotel is its location - along the Nile corniche, and walking distance from the Luxor temple, Luxor museum, the ”souq” or tourist / souvenir market, and various shops and restaurants. Rooms are a little dated though very clean. There is also a pool, gym, and spa, all the modern creature comforts you need from a hotel (I did not use these facilities so cannot comment).
Staff are generally friendly and ready to help. Breakfast is also very good - a very wide spread with hot foods (think hard boiled eggs, sausages, grilled tomatoes and the likes), a whole selection of pastries which were fresh, an egg station, salad bar, fruits, yoghurt etc. They even start breakfast at 5.30am for those who need an early start touring.
No toothbrush/ toothpaste provided (this seems to be the norm in Egypt), no razor available even on request.

The location is excellent, right next to Luxor Temple. The most thoughtful touch was that even though we arrived before check-in time, the front desk quickly checked us in – the only time this happened during our entire trip to Egypt! 👍 All the staff were incredibly warm and friendly, patiently answering all our questions. Thank you so much!
If there's anything that could be improved, it would be that the hotel facilities could be updated (for example, the clothes hangers could be replaced with sturdier ones) to enhance the user experience.
The following pictures are of the hotel and the street view from our room.

Guest UserI had a good stay in Gaddies, and I had very good coversations with Hassan and Obidya. Maybe the facility in the hotel is not the best in Luxor, every staff showed me their passions and hospitality. If I visit Luxor again in the future, I will definitely consider to live hear. Please convey my best wishes to Hassan and Obidya

It's close to the station, but the road to the hotel is not well-maintained (this is true throughout Egypt), so if you have large luggage, it might be better to take a taxi. The hotel will arrange anything, including felucca, balloon, and transfer to the ruins. I had already booked the balloon and transfer to the ruins, so they arranged the felucca, but the time... I think the time was a little early. I came back just as other tourists were going out to the Nile to watch the sunset... To be honest, I think I would have been more satisfied if I had directly negotiated with the boatman along the Nile at the time of the scenery I wanted to see.
Hot water came out well and the water pressure was perfect. The only amenities were bar soap. There was no hair dryer in the room. I used one I brought with me, so I'm not sure if I can borrow one from the front desk. There was a bathtub, but it wasn't cleaned. In fact, the drain was clogged from the beginning, and my hair got mixed in, which was awful. The refrigerator was very cold, but I wonder if the air conditioner is controlled by the front desk? It didn't turn on even when I pressed the switch, so I asked the front desk and they turned it on for me. There is an elevator.
The clogged bathtub was the worst, but the hotel staff were all so kind (I told them I needed glue and they went out of their way to buy it for me!), and it was the only relief I felt in the rip-off town of Luxor lol. Thank you for your help.
