The car took us up to the top of the old town. They spoke English. They came to wait for us to carry our bags. The accommodation was near the parking lot. They provided service with heart and smiled. They seemed to have a great service mind. When we arrived, they served us tea. When we returned, they brought our bags to us at the car with a smile and even stuffed 3 oranges into our hands for us to eat as a snack. We had a lovely stay in Lijiang. The location of the hotel is very convenient and quiet. You can drive very close up to it. Matthew picked us up and helped us carrying our luggage the few minutes to the hotel. The design of the hotel is beautiful, and the rooms are clean, modern and specious. Matthew is very friendly and helpful. The view from the rooftop terrace over the old town and Yulong Mountain is stunning. We will come again!

The boss 老板 of this hotel is on premise everyday and would take time to speak to every traveler and drink tea with him. He is also very prompt in responding to any questions on WeChat and he also helped us to arrange for tickets to Lijiang Impressions, car to Yulong snow mountain, find a driver 包车 to Shangrila. As it is our first time to Lijiang, his help was extremely helpful in planning for our trip and I really appreciated his warm service.
Next, the hotel itself has a small but cute courtyard, huge rooms and always cleaned everyday. My room could see directly to Yulong snow mountain and the rooftops of Lijiang Ancient Town which I enjoyed everyday.
Small thing is that the toliet is not heated as this is not once of those new buildings but this was not a huge issue for us.
