"Despite spending most of my stay indoors due to a personal health issue, my travel spirits remained high. The exquisite afternoon tea, sumptuous breakfast, and incredibly warm and helpful staff at the guesthouse more than compensated for not being able to explore due to my discomfort. I am immensely grateful to the staff who not only called an ambulance for me in the early hours but also accompanied me to the hospital. Their unwavering support made me, a traveler far from home, feel incredibly cared for and truly touched. I would absolutely love to return to this guesthouse, which truly has a heart and soul, should the opportunity arise. A special shout-out to the owner for generously providing several complimentary oxygen tanks (which, I confess, I used quite a lot of! 🤭)."

"The location is incredibly convenient, right next to the station – a huge plus, especially for those with luggage or on a tight schedule, as it's just a few steps away! Both the front desk and restaurant staff were exceptionally warm and attentive; they were always ready to answer questions and were very thoughtful. The environment was spotless, and while the facilities were compact, they were perfectly sufficient and well-maintained. We had a very comfortable stay. Overall, it offers outstanding value for money, and I would definitely choose to stay here again!"

"We communicated through WeChat with the hotel prior to the stay and was assigned with Mr Xiao Oh who is an amazing butler! He took care of all our needs from arranging pick up upon arrival, recommending places to visit in the ancient town, connecting us with an tour agent to bring us to the Yulong Snow Mountain and even reminding us of utilise the services that comes with the room such as going for hand drip coffee experience, afternoon tea break and night soup for winding down. On our second night, he kindly invited us to Tea after finding out that we had called in dinner as we were too tired from the day trip to the mountain. We enjoyed exchanging stories with Xiao Oh and could definitely feel his sincerity during our conversations. Room amenities wise exceeded our expectations as there was a room smart AI (Xiao Du), an amazing view of the mountains and a comfortable bed. The only downside is the lack of privacy at the bathtub and sofa lounge area as there are no curtains or blinds. Our two nights at Aixi was definitely not enough and we will definitely be coming back here again for more nights during our next visit to Lijiang ❤️"

"Overall, Banyan Tree is an excellent hotel and highly recommended. Despite its age, the hotel's layout and elegant ambiance are still well-preserved. The staff quality is commendable; general service personnel are polite and greet guests, while dedicated staff are efficient, neat, and professional. However, given the hotel's age, I noted a few areas for improvement: 1. Indoor furniture requires maintenance; for instance, wardrobe doors should open and close silently. 2. The shower room has an outdoor access door that needs a more secure locking mechanism. 3. There's a ramp at the entrance to the shower area; this should either have a visible warning sign or be proactively mentioned by the butler via WeChat. 4. Some power outlets appear to be retrofitted upgrades; the cut-outs for the flush-mounted boxes are rough, and the panel colors don't match the room's aesthetic, detracting from the overall look. 5. Outdoor equipment installation lacks attention to detail, impacting visual appeal. Examples include exposed pipes, conduits, wires draped under eaves, and oddly placed surveillance cameras. **Cleanliness:** The room was spotless, a fundamental requirement for any establishment. **Environment:** The hotel's setting is wonderful, with beautiful, elegant, and stylish garden design. **Service:** The service was excellent – attentive and thorough, yet never intrusive. **Facilities:** The facilities are comprehensive, including a dedicated desk, which is very convenient for business travelers or those needing to work on holiday. However, it's evident the hotel is older, showing some signs of age and lacking modern smart features."

"We enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return. Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet. Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy. Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea. Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent. Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights. Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!"

"Had a very comfortable and warm stay. Room was well heated, altho we did not know how to activate the floor heating. Bed was springy and pillow was very comfortable. Hotel was also very accommodating to store our luggages while we waited for our midnight flight. Breakfast was good and service staff were all very hospitable and allowed us to take the afternoon tea the next day as we checked in late the previous night. We were also gifted some rose petals for tea and flower biscuits. Overall a great stay and will come back."

The reputation is also good, so I’m sure🏡 The B&B is less than 3 kilometers away from Lijiang Old Town. The location is very convenient and you can reach the attractions within walking distance🚶🏻 Next to it is Heilongtan Park. Don’t miss the scene of the sun shining on Jinshan Mountain at sunset🌅 The B&B has a large space and the whole house is smart. It is very suitable for young people. It also has a small courtyard and antique decoration. It is classical, elegant and grand⛱️ In the afternoon, you can enjoy tea here with your little sisters 🍵 and enjoy the sunshine. There are various room types in the B&B. The rooms are very clean and the sunlight can shine in directly☀️ The mattress is moderately soft and hard. It feels very relaxing to lie on it after a day out. They also provide breakfast, which is local specialty rice noodles and it feels quite delicious🤤 If you travel to Lijiang, you can consider coming here~🙋🏻"

"Very impressed. All the people at the hotel are very nice, very good service, attentive to customers, can speak English. Please call a car to pick me up from the airport. An employee came to pick up the luggage and take it to the hotel. Location near the road, convenient to drag luggage. Close to shopping areas as well. The hotel is in Zuhe Old Town. Anyone who likes peace and quiet is recommended to stay in this city. Suhe is really a romantic city. The second floor accommodations also have a view of the Jade Dragon Peak."
