"You get the feeling you are in the country as two cows are on the field opposite the hostel. I liked the lady in the reception. They have a bar and play loud music the whole evening which I think is wrong while the spot the hostel is in is in a peaceful area. There a few amazing local little restaurants in the small lanes close to the hostel no need to go to the restaurants on the main road. Breakfast was very nice, scrambled eggs, toast, jam and butter, coffee or tea. Great you get a cubicle with a curtain so you have a little room."

"The host Didi and his wife were very helpful! Explained everything about Langkawi and answered all of our questions. Nice breakfast. Also want to mention strategic location of this Lodge since it’s almost close to everything useful on the island: airport, beaches in the east with some nice restaurants (seafood in particular) and duty free shops as well as beaches in the north (we liked Skull beach very much) and skybridge entertainment. So surely I recommend Ocean Lodge!"

"Great experience in Datai Langkawi. The best resort hotel in Langkawi or in Malaysia i would say. Nice atmosphere if you like to be in a quiet and serene place. Great food and great hospitality. A special shoutout to Hafizam for the guest attending service and Gaurav from the The Dining. Also to the Botanists Ms Ezy. Will come back for sure!"

"Our stay at The St. Regis Langkawi was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the personalized service made us feel truly special. We were delighted to receive a suite upgrade, which made our experience even more luxurious. Breakfast was a highlight, with an excellent à la carte selection and attentive service. The hotel itself offers a serene and peaceful environment, ideal for a relaxing getaway. While the beach does experience low tide with shallow waters at times, it didn’t affect our enjoyment of the resort at all. Overall, The St. Regis Langkawi exceeded our expectations with its exceptional service, beautiful setting, and luxurious touches. Highly recommended for a tranquil and indulgent retreat! I will be back again!"

"Overall the hotel is good. Room, bathroom and beds are very good. The check out time should be 3 pm. I don't like the check out time and they ask you extra money if you delay in your room check out."

"I recently stayed in one of their Rainforest Chalets, and it was a truly relaxing and memorable experience. Nestled in the lush greenery of the rainforest, the chalet offered a peaceful escape surrounded by nature’s sounds – perfect for unwinding. The chalet had a warm, rustic charm with a private balcony that opened up to the forest. Inside, it was clean and comfortable, with modern amenities like air conditioning and a spacious bathroom. The wooden floorboards were quite creaky, which was a bit noticeable, especially at night, but it added to the old-world feel of the place. One small but thoughtful gesture really stood out – a staff member came by to restock the minibar without us even asking, and when he noticed we don’t drink alcohol, he kindly offered to replace the beers with soft drinks instead. That level of attentiveness and flexibility really added a personal touch to our stay. The resort itself is large and beautifully maintained, with convenient shuttle service to get around. The staff throughout were friendly and welcoming, always ready to help. Overall, I’d definitely recommend the Rainforest Chalet at Berjaya Resort for anyone looking for a nature-immersed retreat with great service and comfort – just be prepared for a few creaks and quirks that come with staying in the heart of the rainforest."

"The Premier Ocean View Twin Room is really spacious and beautiful, the ocean view is a MUST if you appreciate relaxing chill time at the balcony. There is a big bath tub, a sofa section and a smaller table with a sofa chair for 1 at a corner of the room. Overall I love the stay ! It has two swimming pool, the one at Ground floor for adult and children and the one at roof top for adult. Do check out the rooftop swimming pool, it has a great view. Breakfast is awesome. Service is good too! Ooh and it has direct beach access after the swimming pool section. You can also walk along the beach and head to Hidden Langkawi for a nice dinner / bar."

"Lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious with a huge bed - a size that I’ve never seen before! The shower strength is amazing, with a filtered tap for filtered water. The staff are amazing and helpful. I’ve read some comments that said the breakfast didn’t have enough variety. I would disagree. The breakfast is plentiful with lots of different options. Their afternoon tea is worth the price too. The location is perfect. A few mins walk to cenang beach right where all the entertainment is. The underwater world is around the corner with plentiful shops and restaurants to eat from."

"It's supposed to be a five star hotel... I would say 4 max. From afar the public areas like the pools and bungalows and gardens are stunning and premium. However the room itself needs a bit of upgrade like the shower system for example (old, rusty and not that clean, the water tap is built incorrectly which made the water leak on the counter then on the floor). The staff however is very professional and friendly."

"A very pleasant hotel. It is located in a picturesque bay where there are no waves at all. Spacious rooms, very nice infinity pool. The hotel has a large, very well maintained territory. There is no private beach, but there is a free shuttle several times a day to the nearest beaches. The only hotel in its style on the island of Langkawi. The staff is very pleasant and courteous. The pool, bars and two restaurants are open until late at night.👍"
