This is a small, boutique hotel with a dark, French-inspired aesthetic.
**Facilities:** Everything you need is here, just like at hotels back home.
**Cleanliness:** The bedding and towels were very clean.
**Environment:** I booked an interior-facing room, and it was very quiet, so I slept really well.
**Service:** While waiting to check in, I enjoyed a welcome drink and refreshments, and was able to check in early at 13:00. The front desk also gave me a 250,000 VND dining voucher and a spa discount coupon. Upon entering the room, there were welcome fruits and a handwritten welcome card, which made me feel very much at home.

Our family had an amazing stay at Maison Nha Boutique Apartments with our little one! The one-bedroom apartment had fantastic natural light thanks to its large windows, and the cleanliness was exceptional – not a speck of dust even in the corners. The apartment complex was very quiet, and the surrounding area was convenient for walks with a child. The staff were incredibly attentive; they proactively helped us with our luggage and recommended kid-friendly restaurants nearby. The facilities were also comprehensive, and they could provide children's amenities as needed. This place is just perfect for families traveling with kids!

I stayed here for a few days on a business trip to Hanoi. The hotel is located right across from Hanoi Old Railway Station, so it's quite noisy, and there's also a construction project nearby, which contributes to a lot of noise and dust outside the hotel. The interior environment and hygiene are decent, comparable to budget hotels in China. The hotel's decor is quite interesting, deliberately incorporating some train elements, and the facilities are very new, giving the impression it hasn't been open for too long. Breakfast is average, they have pho, which is enough to fill you up. Service is acceptable, with daily housekeeping. It seems the hotel hosts many tour groups, as the hallways can be quite noisy at times. Overall, I think it's pretty good, and I'd consider staying here again in the future.

The location of the hotel is the best. Its super close to the old quarter so you can easily find good food. The problem is in terms of cleanliness. The curtains are dirty and the ac has a very dark filter probably due to dust.
I came in early so I understand why I didnt get to check in early but some Chinese tourists came in after me and they checked in immediately. I left my luggage and went around the city. I came back around 3 pm and the front desk helped me with my baggage. I thought that was really nice of them to do.
The bed was comfortable. It could get loud in the morning because its in a busy area but if you will go out anyway, thats fine. Overall, the hotel fee is cheap so you get what you pay for but the location is good and convenient for travelers. Staff members are also nice.

This hotel is conveniently located close to both the train station and the city center. Everything you need for your travels is within walking distance. While the old town can be noisy with all the small shops, narrow streets, and constant flow of motorbikes, it offers a vibrant streetscape and a glimpse into local life.
The room lived up to the promotional pictures – it felt lively and had character. The bed was just right in terms of firmness, ensuring a good night's sleep. It was very clean, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, and the air conditioning was strong, compensating for any heat transfer through the outer window (though do remember to draw the blackout blinds!). There's a hot spring terrace on the same floor as the room, which was comfortable except for some noise during morning cleaning.
The breakfast restaurant is on the 10th floor, connecting two buildings. It's compact, and you can enjoy city views through the window while you eat. The dishes are exquisite; the pho was good, and the fruit was very fresh.
I want to give special praise to the service. Whether at the front desk or in the restaurant, I received warm care and prompt responses. They were very proactive in offering help and also actively sought feedback. For practicing listening and speaking skills, it's an excellent choice. Before departure, the front desk staff thoughtfully escorted me to my ride-sharing car, helped with my luggage, and even opened and closed the car door for me. Their politeness and attentiveness were truly heartwarming.
Just like its name, Aurora, you don't need to chase it; it's that brilliant spectacle that surrounds and captivates you.
I had a very pleasant experience. The room was clean, the decor was cozy, and it looked exactly like the pictures. The central location was super convenient for getting around, but it was still quiet enough for a good rest. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive. I'll definitely return if I get the chance.

I stayed at Millennium Hotel in Hanoi for one night. The building itself is quite old, and you can see that in some areas of the room. The shower, in particular, could have been cleaner, which was a bit disappointing.
That said, the bed was comfortable, and I slept reasonably well despite the noise from the street outside (it’s located in a busy area). The balcony was quite small and didn’t have a chair, so it wasn’t really usable for relaxing.
On the positive side, the staff were friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. For just one night, it was manageable and served its purpose, but I probably wouldn’t choose it for a longer stay.

I had a pleasant stay at Urban Slumber. The price was very affordable, which made it a great option for budget travelers. I honestly didn’t expect much at first, but I was surprised by how clean the place was. The room and shared areas were well-maintained and comfortable.
The staff were friendly and helpful, making the check-in process smooth. The facilities were simple but sufficient for a short stay. Overall, it offered great value for money.
I would definitely recommend Urban Slumber to anyone looking for a cheap but clean and comfortable place to stay.

Hotel staff were excellent and very responsive to our needs; they even helped us to go get breakfast as we were leaving early in the morning for a trip. Location was good, more on the periphery of Old Quarter w/ less traffic and noise. Rooms were spacious and bed comfortable. While facility was older, you can see marks on the wall and rust on metal objects, which I did not mind, the only setback was that there were hair on the floor and stains on my comforter which made my sleep experience a little less pleasant. However, overall, we stayed one night only as we were transitioning from one place to another so it was tolerable.

Amazing
AAnonymous User1. The location is excellent, right next to Hoan Kiem Lake, making it very convenient to visit all the famous attractions.
2. The service is a major highlight; it's simply superb. They offer personalized, one-on-one service, and the front desk staff even escorts you to your room. They are very enthusiastic and have excellent English skills. There's also a male staff member who speaks Chinese.
3. The downside is that the rooms are a bit narrower compared to those in China, which seems to be a common characteristic of hotels in Hanoi's Old Quarter. Surprisingly, the two bottles of mineral water in the room were chargeable, which is something they could definitely improve.
GGuest UserGreat hotel, cleanliness is up to standard, water heater is constant, air conditioning is great no stench smell, staff friendliness and customer service is top notch, I do not usually bother to leave review but this hotel definitely deserve a good review, however I wish that maybe there can be more varieties of breakfast.
On top of that I will like to compliment staff Miss Fancy, her attention to details and customer service is one of the best, I personally feel she should be groom and given the opportunity of a management role.
Really satisfied and had a wonderful stay at this hotel !!!
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a bustling downtown location, making it very convenient for getting around. Most importantly, the lovely owner is incredibly welcoming and provides excellent service. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on my next visit.
GGuest UserRephrase nicely and polite please: the overall experience was good (close to the mart - reasonable price, pickball, tennis/table tennis/pool 8 balls/ and swimming on site) until s male receptionist named Hieu decided to go above and beyond to tell us that he needed to check the room. It was around 12ish. We showed him the booking via trip.com. it stated thay we have until 2pm to check out. He refused to accept it. I asked if i could speak to a manager, this big ego guy was adamant thay it will still be the same outcome and threatened if we dont check out now there will be additional fee cherged for late checkout. We went to see a manager and she confirmed indeed it was 2pm. His ego crashed and hid inside another room to get away from embarrassment. Then at 1.40pm we recieved a call from trip.com telling us that the hotel rang them to remind us to check out. We told trip.com that it was your plateform thay stated 2pm. This is well within the allowable time frame. We even told them the hotel manager confirmed it was 2pm check out. Why they simply take instructions from a guy named hieu seeking his little revenge without checking the facts. I was wondering about his motivation and why he picked on us...and how did he know we were to check out today..only a few reasons i could come up with and money is probably one of them. There was no apology or nothing but a cold look exchange.
Here’s a more polished and polite version of your message while still keeping your point clear:
Overall, our stay was pleasant. The location is convenient (close to the mart), the price is reasonable, and we appreciated the range of on-site facilities such as pickleball, tennis, table tennis, pool, and swimming.
However, our experience was unfortunately affected by an incident with a male receptionist named Hieu. At around 12:00 pm, he approached us insisting that we check out so he could inspect the room. We showed him our booking confirmation via Trip.com, which clearly stated that our check-out time was 2:00 pm. Despite this, he refused to acknowledge it.
When I politely asked to speak with a manager, he insisted that the outcome would not change and warned that we would be charged an additional fee if we did not check out immediately. We then spoke directly with the manager, who confirmed that our check-out time was indeed 2:00 pm.
Later, at around 1:40 pm, we received a call from Trip.com informing us that the hotel had contacted them to remind us to check out. We clarified that our booking clearly allowed check-out until 2:00 pm and that this had already been confirmed by the hotel manager. It was disappointing that this follow-up occurred without verifying the situation properly.
The situation left us feeling uncomfortable, particularly as there was no apology or clarification afterward—only a rather cold interaction. While the facilities and overall stay were enjoyable, this experience with staff communication and handling of the situation was disappointing. We were pleased with the rest of our interactions with other staff there. Thank you for your warm and welcoming service.
RRalfNeeded a good night of test without noise from streets.
This was possible on the 7th floor according to the employee. The room was only five meters away from the road and I think the occupancy was about 25% Maximum. And this is royal measured. The window in the bathroom didn't even close.
I asked for another room away from the road and with windows that can close. I was offered another room. Again a window that was broken, but I fixed it in a way it's closed now. Lifted up the locking system at the side of the window, but it fell down, so now the window doesn't open anymore. Small window. There's also a big window. Because of having big windows these rooms are being considered to be executive rooms. Never reared about window size influencing the level of hierarchy.
But at the other side of the window there's a wall and it's a very creepy hole you stare in. I didn't really feel executive because of that. But still I got the one night of rest I needed to normally open my eyes again. It's creepy when you're so tired that your eyes just can't open anymore. Big fat eyes the next day.
Suddenly the younger girl behind the reception approach me with an extreme humble tone of voice telling me that it's actually an executive room. I literally asked myself if they had the gutted attitude to sell me an upgrade.
Never mind, relocation is coming anyways. Hanoi is a very dusty city. I mean extremely dusty. So dusty that the damage and harm it causes to visit this place really doesn't make yhe visit feels really worthy.
Also the communism is absolutely what didn't suit me personally at all. I am socially more developed.
In general I had the impression that they employees where friendly, but it's their job. Not their job to be aggressive as I experienced once when I just asked the question what sports Vietnamese people.like the most.
But this was in check out day. And the sinistry in the laugh of the male receptionist towards the taxi driver after they pushed me into.paying more for what I ordered online completely woke me up. But it's also weird yo say that the new owner is less kayak and in the meantime trying to sell me.more nights and saying I should return.
I completely don't understand this way of handling.
Asking 30% extra for a early check in. I saw yes when booked one or two nights, but when one booked a week then I would give it for free. In my case I understand that I needed to pay more for that 3 hour earlier checking in. But my explanation was clear. I need rest and lay down in normality, instead of walking on the streets wearing me out even more. The option offered didn't have anything to do with customer focus. More customer abuse in the most possible hardcore form. And this was the second accommodation in Hanoi where this abuse happened. I only had two accommodation totally indeed. Yes that's correct fellow traveller. Horror travel horror.
Now comes the materialistic reviewing:
Beds brand new and 100% awesome and healthy.
Spotless clean and even when you refuse room cleaning it still happens. Very need to do that. Amen to the cleaner lady.
Welcome Hall is pleasant.
Shower is nice.
It's very noisy in the front of the building, but I've only seen one room and I know that women follow the extinguishers agenda from Europe and I experienced this extremely in Vietnam. It even makes me feel.Viet Numb.
But that's a good sign. 7 days left and at least I've experienced a bit what the U.S. army experienced back then.
Viet Numb for me is more like a Tour of Duty.
I see a red door and I want to paint it black.
Communists not my people.
GGuest UserFantastic location to explore Hanoi’s famous train street and old town and local surrounding area from fruit stores to busy streets unfortunately didn’t get pictures of the room but they were very clean and spacious. Excellent customer service when helping us with grab taxis and locating a missing item we had left in a grab! Highly recommend for their service. Easy to get a trip to ha long bay from this hotel .
MMrsGhouliaStayed at Hoa Hoang Hotel for 3 weeks.
Service:
1. The front desk receptionist, Nga, is helpful, patient, and polite. She is always cheerful and attentive, even while handling calls and assisting other guests. She addressed my concerns clearly, answered all my questions, and is very pleasant to communicate with.
2. Breakfast buffet: staff is always on their feet. I see there’s two main servers, sometimes a third one. They’re very focused but it’s also because they have a lot of tasks - prep, cook, clean, replenish and clear all the dining tables. The tables are not always wiped down, but if you ask, they will address it immediately. Two weeks in, they hired a fourth server which was nice because tables were cleared and cleaned faster. There were a variety of food options with a few soup dishes that rotated each day. They serve mainly carbs and didn’t have many vegetarian options and not a lot of protein in general. They had breakfast chits that we would have to collect from the front desk each day and hand-in to the breakfast staff, they’re very on top of collecting the chits.
3. Room service: We never ordered food to the room. For a few nights, we did order dinner (rice, meat and a veggie dish). They can make anything you ask for either for lunch or dinner. If you don’t feel like going out, their cooking is quite tasty. We’d asked for new towels daily, our 2 water bottles, toilet paper and to empty our garage. We would ask to change or bedding every few days.
4. Rooms 614/615: 614 is the superior twin room and 615 is the superior queen room. My mom stayed in room 614 and my husband stayed in room 615 while I went back and forth. Furniture and flooring was exactly like in the photo online. Both rooms had working air conditioner and a ceiling fan and working mini fridge. TV in the rooms were not a SMART TV but we didn’t mind. The room cost the same although I don’t think room 615 is as nice as 614 since the washroom in 615 felt a bit older (the trimming had more mold and ceiling height was low). My husband who is 5 feet 8 inches (172 cm) would need to bow down to wash his head. Toilets flushed well in both rooms and water pressure was strong. There were tiny ants in both washroom floors and counters but it is Vietnam, we accepted it. Since it was not filled with them, it was not a concern. Beddings and towels are OKAY (meaning it was a pass for us) Some had light stains and tiny rips but it didn’t feel disgusting.
5. Cost: It was about $36 CAD after fees and taxes for each room, I booked a few nights online and a few nights in person which worked out to be around the same price after the conversion. Depending on the website promo, you may be able to get a better price per night online.
6. Location: calling for a taxi, grab, xanh sm takes a tiny bit of time because they’re on a one way street. But it’s walking distance to a park which is great!
Overall rating 3.7, I would say it is like a Best Western hotels/suites in Canada. Service and staff 4 star, building and rooms 3.5 star.
According to google, they are a 3 star hotel and I would agree. I would recommend a couple and family to stay. And I would return.
AAnonymous UserI’ve chosen this place because it was close to the airport. The first thing is I assumed that because it’s close it’ll be really easy to get there after arrival, but actually taxi drivers don’t want to go there because for them is better to get more money from the trip to the city center then driving you for five min to this hotel. Then after finally arriving the staff that will meet you won’t have any hint of a smile on their face and will treat you like you’ve pissed them off only with your disturbance of their peace, the morning shift by the way was exactly the same. The room itself was ok, just as I assumed by the pictures but with the closer look you can see that lots of breakage and damaged stuff in the room
SSophiie/!\ Avoid this hotel. We would never recommend this hotel for your stay in Hanoi.
Stayed 18-20 April 2025: 3 days, 2 nights.
1/ Overbooking situation - cancellation the day before landing
My friend and I booked two separate rooms to stay at this hotel, the day before the check in, my friend's booking got cancelled by the hotel without information. We had contacted the hotel several times in vain, then it was confirmed that they have overbooked the hotel which caused to trouble to start with our holiday.
Hotel Director of sales M. Victor N. did replied by email on the checking day 18/4 few hours before that ”we don't know the fact. You can make your reservation on our website now.” The remaining option on 18/4 morning was a ”suite” 14 times higher rate than our initial booking...
Therefore once arrived at Hanoi, we wanted to get a refund of my remaining booking but the hotel reception lady Mrs Ruby was not helpful at first and rude towards us. Her non hospitality professionalism and communication led us feel very unwelcomed (no smile, no thank you, speaking vietnamese with her colleague in front of us). May need to review if she really should stay at the reception as this is client facing interaction and should be solution driven.
She strictly insisted that she doesn't know why we only got one room left and my booking was non refundable even tough they did cancelled my friend's one few hours ago. After negotiation, she kept saying as it is non refundable, either we stay, either we book another room.
At that moment, there was an another room not the Suite one that just got available ”King room” and if we could pay the price difference which is higher than our initial paid booking and need to stay together in the same room.
As we just started the holidays and to not loose the money that we could not get refunded, we paid the difference to change to that room. We paid in cash to get that room.
We thought that was going to be just one off issue/misunderstanding and could start our holidays.
Note: If you pay in credit card they will charge 3% additional. The exchange rate is more convenient to change at jewelry gold shop in Hàng Bac street (5 mins walk), the rate at the hotel is too high, don't change there.
2/ Cleanliness
As we got this better king's room with window, we were expecting that to be at least clean and suitable for 2 pax.
The bed sheets and cushions were yellowish, the floor was not vacuum (dead bees staying there whole stay), the slippers are dirty, the wall is stained and some unfinished renovation. The worst is the shower/bathtub, once you shower, it will flood to the room, we had to put towels to absorb the water in the room.
You have to ask for towels if they clean your room as they will forget.
3/ Breakfast
Be aware that it is from 6:30am to 9:30am, the breakfast is correct as a mini buffet
Overall this hotel is average, the positive points are the location and the other gentleman receptionist allowing us to have a ”late check out” at noon instead of 11am, as if after noon they will charge one night more.
The hotel should stop with overbooking rooms that will cause unnecessary stress situation for everyone and need to be renovated.
To be honest, you can have much more great options nearby, CLEAN and with great hospitality service. As part of holidays and for a decent price, just book another hotel to avoid negative start for your holidays.
Enjoy your stay in Hanoi and in Vietnam!
PS: on some platform it is indicated there is a gym but there is none. And the hotel team is aware of these comments as we filled the same to their paper review form.
DDawei 007What a perfect little place to stay if you have a late arriving flight or a very early morning one. I found the staff here extremely friendly and they used Google translate to communicate. The room was immaculate and offered fantastic value. They offer breakfast at an additional charge , very reasonable and their iced coffee is superb, highly recommend. An ideal place to stay for a night.
