Hotels near Hoan Kiem, Hanoi

Although we only stayed in Hanoi for one night, our experience was incredibly heartwarming. I especially want to commend the front desk lady, who helped us immensely! Here's what happened: On the night we checked in, we discovered an issue with the shower. After calling the front desk, the lady immediately upgraded our room without hesitation. Her efficiency was impressive, and her attitude was exceptional. What touched us even more was that the next day, after we had already checked out, we returned in the evening to pick up our stored luggage. The same lady proactively asked if we had arranged a car to the airport. Knowing it was the day before ***** New Year, she understood that finding a taxi would be very difficult, so she went out of her way to help us, suggesting we check in online in advance, among other things. Following her advice, we immediately started looking for a taxi from the pickup point she indicated, and sure enough, we managed to get one and ultimately made our flight. When we were leaving, the bellboy was also incredibly helpful, carrying our heavy luggage and walking with us a short distance to the pickup point. There was also a small incident: we had to leave for a bit and left our child in the lobby. The lady, who had only been studying Chinese for three months, tried to chat with our child in Chinese and even gave him a box of sandwiches. It was such a thoughtful gesture. In short, even though our stay was brief, the staff we encountered were all incredibly genuine and warm-hearted, truly making us feel welcomed and cared for.

Thanks to this hotel and the people who work here. The location is great, there are lots of attractions nearby, we walked everywhere and had a great time. There are lots of inexpensive and delicious places nearby, some of which were recommended to us by the hotel. Don't be shy about talking to the staff and asking them questions, they are happy to answer and help. The entrance to the hotel may confuse you, it is colorful, but that's even a plus. The rooms themselves are very cozy and practical, we have stayed in different hotels in Asia, this is one of the best. They washed and dried our clothes for free, I don't know if everyone gets this bonus, but it was very nice, special thanks for that. In the photo, we are moving out, so the schedule

Traveling with two families during Chinese New Year, we booked three rooms. I was initially worried because of the many negative reviews and even considered changing hotels, but found very few alternatives that met our requirements. Before our trip, I connected with Selina on WhatsApp, and she truly helped us a lot. Firstly, as everyone knows, Vietnam also celebrates Chinese New Year, and many restaurants are closed. Selina proactively helped us book a New Year's Eve dinner for 9 people at Met Restaurant. We wanted to go to Cat Ba Island, but by the time we got to the ticket office, it was closed. Again, Selina contacted Daiichi for us and helped us secure round-trip tickets. The hotel is located near Hoan Kiem Lake, and all surrounding attractions are within walking distance. Since it was impossible to get a taxi during Chinese New Year, we walked everywhere. Plus, it's very close to the Daiichi ticket office, just a 3-5 minute walk. The hotel breakfast was excellent, and you could also order pho, fried eggs, omelets, and more fresh.

The hotel is very close to Hoan Kiem Lake, so the location is excellent and convenient. However, I was surprised when I saw the room's location; it was in the attic, which is essentially an illegal structure, raising concerns about public safety. The hotel staff kept changing, possibly due to shifts. Things I discussed with A had to be repeated when B took over because there wasn't effective handover. Sometimes, promises made by A weren't honored by B. Thankfully, after some general communication, it wasn't a huge problem, but it was tiring. The bathroom in the room was very small, and the towel rack was extremely high, making it inconvenient to wash up.

La Sinfonía Citadel is perfectly located for exploring Hanoi. It’s right by the bustling Old Quarter streets, close to Train Street cafés, coffee shops, food stalls, shopping areas, and the lake. You can step straight out into the energy of the city, which makes it an ideal base for walking everywhere and soaking up the atmosphere. The staff were fine, professional but not particularly standout. Breakfast gets very busy and can feel quite packed, with limited options during peak times. The coffee is instant, so if that matters to you, plan accordingly. It’s best to go early for breakfast to get the widest selection and a more relaxed experience. Overall, the location is the real strength here. A great choice if you want to be in the heart of the action and explore Hanoi on foot.

The room isn't huge but it's spacious enough. The shower works well, though you have to hold the toilet flush for a few seconds. There's a small fridge, perfect for storing the fried spring rolls and desserts I bought. Breakfast is served for a long period and offers a great variety, including Vietnamese fried rice, fried noodles, Swiss rolls, pancakes, and excellent soft-boiled eggs. The fresh fruit daily is also a highlight, especially the delicious bananas and mangoes. The location is super convenient for getting around; it's not far from the night market, shopping areas, or Hoan Kiem Lake. There's also a restaurant called 'Little Something' on the same street that makes amazing beef spring rolls. Plus, the lady at the front desk speaks some Chinese, which is a big bonus!

Pro: Comfortable bed and very kind reception staff, room generally clean. Amenities (tea, water, slippers...) Cons: old bathroom (has mold in tiles joints + no shower curtain, causing floatings), my room said ”window” but the window overlooked a wall. Hotel good for one night and I guess ok for it's price, but do not expect greatness.

The hotel is in the Old Quarter and some tourist attractions are just walking distance. The staffs are very approachable and friendly. One staff, Peter, offered as package tour services to explore Ha Long Bay and Ninh Binh. It was a good experience and we enjoyed exploring other parts of Vietnam. Overall, we liked our stay and the places we visited with the tour. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a good stay here! Location is walking distance to the main tourist areas, but the hotel is located on a side street so there’s no noise. Clean and comfortable for a short stay. The service was what stood out the most, the staff was super helpful and friendly, and when my luggage was delivered they helped to collect even when it was 1am. There was also free breakfast at a nearby hostel that was pretty substantial!
