"We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always helpful throughout our visit – it's clear that hospitality is a top priority here. The hotel's culinary offerings were also impressive overall: the food was delicious, varied, and of high quality. The beautiful pool area is perfect for relaxation and is meticulously maintained. A definite highlight for us was the stunning sunset we could enjoy from the property – simply unforgettable! One minor downside was the breakfast: while perfectly adequate, the selection and quality could be improved slightly. Nevertheless, we would return anytime and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel."

"The check-in process was easy and the service was excellent. Our room was cosy and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small yet the water from the shower was perfect. The only thing to note is that if you have the air-conditioning on, the water will run out onto the tiles into the corridor."

"The hotel is really showing its age. The air conditioning had no controls. The shower was an adventure in itself. On the positive side, the owner agreed to move our reservation dates. But the room quality wasn't great. I found eyelashes on the lampshade on the second day, and they definitely weren't mine! 😂"

"A lovely little hotel. Close to shops and resturants. Fisherman's Village is approx 10 min taxi. We had a superior beachfront bungalow with an amazing view of the beach and sea. Rooms are spotless and the housekeeping do go above and beyond for you. There is a small pool and just right if you don't like to sea. I would recommend to stay here as its lovely and quiet."

"They are calling themselves a wellness hotel and they are! The staff are very nice and attentive to the details. There are interesting sessions to attend during your stay and you will love it. The breakfast options were great and I enjoyed them so much while I stayed. The hotel provided a shuttle bus to central mall in case you don't drive. I won't recommend to walk from the main road to the hotel. I want to highlight the gym here that people will love and one more thing the hotel won't accept the customer under 16 years old."

"Beautiful looking hotel, quiet and relaxed but also just a short scooter ride away from Fisherman’s village. For everyone confused about the beach situation: there is a long bit of beach by the hotel. The hotel itseld doesn’t have beds on the beach itself, however, the beds are just above and around the pool area that overlooks the beach. If you wanna lay on the beach, in the morning there is high tide so you won’t be having much sand to lay on, still good for a swim. In the afternoon/evening there is low tide so you can put your towel down easily."

"Beautiful hotel with three smaller pools, all of which are available for use. Most rooms are in the second or third row from the beach, except for rooms 501-505, which are directly at the beach. Rooms can be rented for 28k per month. The beach is nice, but there are only few loungers and the materials are old. Laundry service, scooter rental, and airport transfer can all be arranged at the reception, but everything is much cheaper in the surrounding area. A laundromat, 7-Eleven, as well as various restaurants and street food are within walking distance. We would not book here again, as the receptionist caused unnecessary hassle during our late check-out and airport transfer. For example, she wanted to charge 700 Baht for the transfer, instead of the usual 499 Baht, just because we were a group of 4."

"Absolutely loved it! The room was huge; we were given a room with direct pool access and a large terrace. Breakfast was simply superb, and the grounds are lush with greenery. Sun loungers are right on the beach. The pool is enormous and has amazing views – usually, we don't swim in hotel pools, but this one was so beautiful, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was good. My only comment would be that the prices at the restaurant and bar are a bit high. But the salads were delicious!"

TTutti.ToeteeReview: A Beautiful, Design-Led Oasis in Fisherman’s Village We recently stayed at the Hansar Samui, and it is truly a beautiful property with a thoughtful design. The location is perfect—just a short, pleasant stroll away from Fisherman’s Village, making it easy to explore the local area while still feeling like you have a quiet retreat to return to. The Highlights Dining Experience: The breakfast was a standout. I particularly appreciated having eggs made fresh to order; there is nothing worse than pre-cooked, rubbery eggs left under heat lamps, so this was a huge bonus for me. The Vibe: The swimming pool is lovely, and the beach is kept very clean. The hotel maintains a relaxed atmosphere, complemented by a great selection of background music. Service & Little Touches: The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind. I loved the ”turn-down” service around 5:00 PM, where housekeeping brought little chocolates and water—an adorable touch that made us feel looked after. Facilities: The gym is clean and well-maintained. Crucially for those working remotely, the Wi-Fi was excellent and reliable enough for me to take Zoom meetings without any issues. Room Design: The rooms are beautifully decorated with stunning balconies and views. The bathroom was a highlight, especially the large rainfall shower. Room Comfort & Maintenance We did have a significant issue with the bed. The mattresses are very soft, which didn't suit us at all as my husband has a bad back. It made sleeping quite difficult. However, the staff were wonderful and tried their best to accommodate us; they helped remove the mattress so we could sleep on the wooden base with just the mattress topper. While not ”luxury” comfort, it was much better for his back than the soft mattress. We also had a few issues with a temperamental toilet flush, but to the hotel's credit, maintenance was very prompt in coming to fix it each time. Dining & Logistics We had dinner at the restaurant one evening, ordering the Massaman curry and Chicken Panang. While the food was edible, it was just ”okay”—we were perhaps expecting a bit more given how high the quality of breakfast was. That said, the view from the restaurant in the evening is spectacular, and they occasionally have lovely entertainment. One small hiccup occurred when we booked a taxi through the hotel to take us to the pier for our trip to Koh Phangan. The driver unfortunately dropped us at the wrong port. We had to quickly catch a Grab to the correct one, but luckily we made it just in time for our ferry. Overall Despite a few minor glitches, this was a wonderful stay. The aesthetic of the hotel is gorgeous, and the professionalism of the staff ensures that any issues are handled quickly. I would definitely recommend Hansar for anyone looking for a stylish and relaxed stay in Samui!

IIRENA_BORODINAThe hotel is quite old, but it has beautiful grounds and lush, tropical plants. The breakfasts are decent, the pools are clean, and the staff is attentive. The squirrels near the restaurant are adorable! The sea and beach are simply stunning, and there were always enough sun loungers. The plumbing in the room was fine. Now for the downsides: The sun loungers and their mattresses are very old. The bed linen also looks quite worn. The room is a bit dark, and the air conditioning blows directly onto the beds, making it impossible to sleep with it on. The dishes in the restaurant are also dated, which was unpleasant. There's also not enough lighting in the evenings, even on the hotel grounds. On my last day, it rained, and I slipped and fell on the tiles; luckily, I didn't break anything. We stayed in room A06, which had direct pool access. However, even in these rooms, which are the furthest from the bar, you can still hear noise from the neighboring bar at night. If you're a light sleeper, this might be uncomfortable. The planes weren't really an issue; they don't fly by that often. I'd like to address parents separately: unsupervised children in the pool were behaving terribly – screaming, teasing, and swearing – all right outside our rooms. Their parents paid no attention, making it impossible to relax in our room or on the terrace. Overall, though, I recommend the hotel because of its location and proximity to the sea.

GGuest UserA Peaceful Haven with Truly 5-Star Service Our stay at Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui was simply unforgettable. This hotel is a true haven of peace where everything is designed for comfort, relaxation, and well-being. We stayed in a suite close to the sea, a charming little duplex with a beautiful terrace overlooking the ocean, and an outdoor bathtub that made every bath a memorable moment while admiring the surrounding nature. What truly makes this place special is the kindness of the staff. It was the first time in a hotel that I arrived at breakfast and the team already knew my name! Everyone is genuinely caring, always smiling, and ready to help. The breakfast itself is an institution. The food is incredibly fresh and of outstanding quality. My personal favorite was the fresh mango juice every morning … absolutely delicious! To conclude: if you are visiting Ko Samui and looking for a true 5-star experience with exceptional service and attention to detail, you are more than welcome at Garrya Tongsai Bay Samui.

DDejan507Our expectations were high and in the beginning it really seemed to be living up to them. First of all the staff is incredible - polite, smiling and helpful. The management was thoughtful and caring and the cleanliness was of the highest standard. When trying to use the pool during the day you will find it's impossible. Thai heat simply makes it unbearable and there's absolutely no cover from the sun - in my opinion poor design of the pool area that should have been considered during construction. Another thing is ordering a cocktail by the pool you get it in a plastic cup for water with decoration being a single piece of pineapple. Even the cheapest bars I used to visit would try harder to decorate the cocktail and in my opinion for the price we paid here it definitely shouldn't be served like this. Just seems like low value for money - same goes for the restaurant: We were told there was a barbecue event at the beach but actually it was only the normal menu of the restaurant just like every other day - price is simply too high for the presentation of the food which was just average. Breakfast was also underwhelming and a huge issue for me was the taste of the coffee! I don't know if it's due to desalinated sea water used as drinking water but americano had a horrible salty taste that was impossible to drink. In my opinion bottleded water must be used for the espresso machine because as such it is undrinkable. Finally the location of the resort itself isn't the best, the beach is tiny and rocky and to get anywhere you need to be driven in a buggy which you need to book and then wait. Many times I've witnessed peaople frustrated and give up on waiting for it and walk instead, as we done a few times also. Unfortunately overall I wouldn't plan on returning again even though the staff is exceptional.

TTyler Van ZylMe and my partner had the most incredible time at Silavadee! After such a long flight, we loved the welcome drink amenities including private beach and the endlessly helpful staff. Nothing was too much to ask. The included breakfast was one of the best I have ever had at a hotel in my life. The choice of food including champagne, freshly squeezed orange juice and extensive À la carte menu were incredible touches. I would highly recommend this hotel for a romantic holiday, or was mainly couples and it had a nice vibe. The free shuttle to Chaweng beach was perfect and meant we could go and grab dinner on the strip and then get the luxury minibus back. Honestly, this was the best hotel I have ever stayed at and would love to return soon! o

NNaMa7The hotel is very old. There's almost no grounds. It consists of a main building and bungalows with a bit of greenery. The pool smelled strongly of chlorine, so we didn't go in. It's too small for swimming anyway. Room: Partially renovated with a huge, modern TV. However, the bathroom is long overdue for a renovation – the shower is rusty, the faucets are terrible, and the shower curtain has turned yellow at the bottom from rust! The balcony is nice, but the neighbors are so close it feels uncomfortable. The breakfast was good, with plenty of options. The sea, though, is wonderful! The entry is very quick, the water is clear, and the jet skis aren't directly in front of the hotel. Cafes and shops are right outside the exit. Lotus Supermarket is about 700 meters away; they have a good and inexpensive food court, and the prices in the supermarket are the cheapest.

SStephy007Another Amari disappointing stay. first was amari hua hin and 2nd is this hotel. stayed in amari koh samui for 4nights, we just got back from koh samui a few days ago. location wise sure cant deny that, it's by the beach front, 5 mins drive away from central koh samui mall and walking from the night life but so does other resorts around the area. when you get to the hotel specially after paying so much per night and to be classified as a 5 star hotel, you expect a good service, a 5 star service. Specially when the first point of contact to the customer service is the front staffs, however very disappointing. Most, if not all of the staffs doesnt seem to smile at all. We arrived early so we had lunch first and sure they managed to give us earlier check in at almost 2pm, their check in is at 3pm. we let it go perhaps we were just too tired and sensitive as we just arrived in koh samui and it was humid, however, throughout our stay their customer service was absolutely lacking. VERY LACKING. specially a few staffs driving the buggy service, we even had an accident one time when we were on our way back to the room, one of the driver drove so fast, THEY ALL DRIVE REALLY FAST, and he rammed onto one of the on coming buggy, i was holding my baby so tight. luckily nothing happened to us. same buggy driver who was had a grumpy look the entire stay and we saw him throwing luggages on to the buggy instead of handling them with care. so when you are taking a buggy, tell them to drive slow. the room, we booked a connecting room, which was a mistake. booking 2 rooms would have been cheaper but anyhow, the room was not clean at all, the bathtub was moldy the floors felt dirty and there were alot of mosquitos every single day. first day we arrived we killed 10 mosquitos in one room whats up with that. breakfast had good selections, they have 3 pools around the resorts as it is a big resort best one is the one over looking the beach, kid friendly pool. they have kids room, not that big just a small room.. anyway overall would i come back here in Amari Koh Samui, absolutely NOT. Would i recommend amari koh samui, absolutely NOT. if you want to stay in a beach front, there are alot of beach front resorts near amari and around the area check that out.. they did something nice from my baby;s birthday, decorated the mirror and gave cake so i appreciated that. with kids i would recommend hyatt koh samui, they are friendlier to kids and service is top notch. we moved there after amari THANK GOODNESS

LLele WiriThe hotel was excellent We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. It is absolutely perfect for families. The kids’ playrooms are thoughtfully designed with so many options for all ages, which made our children incredibly happy and engaged throughout the stay. The spa area and sauna are outstanding, beautifully maintained and deeply relaxing. Even though there was a huge conference taking place during our visit, everything felt perfectly organized and calm. The level of management was truly impressive. A very special thank you to Boss Concierge, who went above and beyond for us. He helped us retrieve a forgotten bag with such efficiency and genuine care. What could have been a stressful situation was handled smoothly and professionally, and we felt completely supported throughout. The entire staff was kind, attentive, and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly taken care of. Highly recommended. We will absolutely return

LlavenderI stayed at Dara for all four days of my Samui trip and had many pleasant surprises. The hotel facilities are great, the room is very comfortable, and the service is excellent and easy to communicate with. It offers great value for money. The breakfast selection is also good, with salads, fried rice, fruits, yogurt, bread, and even stir-fries – the beef was especially delicious. Although the hotel is on a public beach, it's right on the doorstep. Just a few steps down from the hotel restaurant, and you're on the beach. In the evening, enjoying dinner by the beach at the hotel, the food tasted great, and the romantic ambiance was absolutely perfect.
