We selected a waterfront room and it was wonderful. We loved the room and the views. However, we found very uncomfortable that upon arrival there was a topless woman with her boobs out which is really bad for a couple to have that view when looking at the beach - so maybe, since it is a small beach that’s part of the resort, topless or nudity should not be allowed. The service was also impeccable as well as the food. Our tip: place a bucket in front of the front door so we can fill it with water to clean our feet from the beach sand before entering the room. Our room was always full of sand inside. Another long term change that could be considered is the mattress quality - it is quite hard and not so comfortable. Otherwise, everything in this hotel was perfect: food, room, service, super calm, cleanliness, etc. My husband and I would surely come back!

Great location, and the small bungalows and houses look quite nice. However, the front area near the beach, including the pool and restaurant, wasn't very well-maintained and was partly dirty. The pool water was cloudy and not very inviting, so I didn't use it. I had a 'new room,' which sounds good, but it wasn't. It was inadequately furnished – nowhere to put luggage, no chair... and it was very unclean. It seemed nothing had been cleaned after construction, as protective plastic was still stuck everywhere. The wardrobe was just a rail where the kettle and other items were also placed. At least they quickly brought me more hangers when I asked. The only really good thing was the new sun loungers on the balcony. My room wasn't cleaned, and when I inquired, I was told I had to leave my room key at reception for that. Seriously? I've never encountered that before, and it would have been helpful if they had informed me. Breakfast was very basic, and I didn't like the coffee. However, the à la carte dinner was delicious.

A beautiful hotel with a naturalistic style – both the rooms and the grounds. Good breakfasts, and the town center is within walking distance (the path isn't for the lazy, but you can also take a boat for 100 baht). There's a small private beach, a couple of almost deserted tiny beaches, and Long Beach (the descent to it is quite steep, but there are ropes). This is one of the best spots on the island for snorkeling and observing reef sharks. There are downsides, but they're not critical – the tap water is salty and bitter, and boats constantly whiz by, creating a lot of noise, but you get used to it. We didn't see any monkeys at the hotel, but there were plenty of cats, and they're fed here, which is great. Mosquitoes weren't a big bother either.

The hotel is located on top of a hill, so you need to take a shuttle bus to get up and down, which takes a few minutes. However, the shuttle only runs once an hour. Breakfast is quite basic; if you add it on separately, it costs 350 Thai Baht, or you can take the shuttle down to town to eat. For the ferry transfers, there are always staff to pick you up and drop you off at the pier, so there's no need to book in advance. I suggest increasing the frequency of the shuttle buses, ideally so they run on demand. The water park was partially open, and the slides were really fast.

The room was quite old and looked a bit spooky. However, the view was absolutely stunning; four out of five stars for the balcony view, and four stars for the service from the Chinese-speaking gentleman at the restaurant and the staff who arranged the boats (because the front desk lady doesn't deserve full marks).
The front desk lady was very unfriendly. I had initially booked a room, but then my parents decided to join the trip. Since the hotel was fully booked, I had to book a room at the hotel next door. Also, the hotel next door didn't charge extra for children, so my child stayed with my parents there. When the front desk lady found out, she very sternly told me that if a third person was found in our room, we would be fined double, to which I replied 'okay'.
Later, when my husband arrived, she sternly reiterated the same warning to him and insisted on charging for my father's boat transfer (the boat from the neighboring hotel left earlier, so I took their boat first to check in for both hotels, while my husband and father took this hotel's boat).
However, there was a Chinese-speaking gentleman in the restaurant whose attitude was excellent, and I'm very grateful for his help (we went snorkeling and got swept away by the current; this gentleman and the staff who arranged the boats were very friendly, promptly arranged for rescue, and comforted my father. Many thanks to them).

Pros:
- excellent location, the beach is the best on the island,
- clean rooms,
- excellent hot water pressure,
- the prices in the restaurant are the same as in Tonsai, good quality,
- you can walk to Tonsai in 20-30 minutes,
- there is a free boat upon check-in and check-out.
Cons:
- terribly unfriendly staff, I have never seen anything like this in Thailand,
- old, yellow and half-damp bed linen,
- brown and dark blue towels that do not absorb well,
- not very thorough cleaning of the beach, which is also done around 9 am, that is, if you come at 7-8 o'clock, the beach is creepy.
Overall, the vacation was good, but there is no particular nostalgia and desire to return to this hotel.

Deluxe Room: Quite basic, a bit dated, and there was a lot of mold in the bathroom. BUT! Good soundproofing, a new air conditioner, a quiet location, and the pool is large and clean with spacious grounds. There's even a horse you can feed! Excellent value for money. 👍

A large room with a spacious bathroom, cold air conditioning, and a strong hot water shower. A kettle, coffee, and complimentary water were also provided.
The hotel has a pool, although I didn’t have time to use it.
The location is right in the centre of Tonsai, making it convenient for everything while still being quiet enough in the evenings.
The only downside was that the internet wasn’t working during this visit, which was disappointing.

It's fine for a couple of days.
But we didn't like Phi Phi itself. We went for relaxation and a beautiful sea, but instead, it was overcrowded, the sea wasn't very clean, and there was constant noise from motorboats.
The hotel rooms were tired, and we saw cockroaches.
Breakfast from the restaurant had a beautiful view, and the selection was limited, but everything was sufficient and delicious.
If you want to arrange a transfer upon arrival, contact the hotel directly via WhatsApp, as the TripCom chat was lengthy and unproductive.

Wonderful place to be, the area is just amazing. Small villa houses, very nice and a clean, nice pool area. Just drums up 👍🏻 only issue check out at 11am, if you like to use the morning for diving it too less time. Every hour more costs 400 baht. Therefore no 5 stars.

Great
DDani_19We abbsolutely loved staying here. The rooms are clean and beautiful. The resort has it’s own private beach which is great! We also enjoyed the food here. They have pretty diverse food options for breakfast and excellent service!
JJason2023Pros
The location is excellent if you want pretty much everything worth seeing on Phi Phi within walking distance.
As the room is windowless, there is less noise from motorbikes and bars – still some, but nowhere near what you will likely experience at many other hotels on the island.
Bottled water provided.
Free lunch provided (I didn't take advantage if this as the times were fixed and I didn't want to have to eat in a set place during a 2–3 hour window).
Staff were very helpful.
Wifi was good.
Cons
Phi Phi is just too expensive now – what you get (small, windowless room, no room cleaning, no pool/gym etc) is just very poor value for money. In many other parts of Thailand you would get a huge room in a beautiful resort for the same price!
Room not cleaned over 3–4 days.
The room is very small – you are basically paying Singapore prices for a Hong Kong style box room.
Strong smell in the corridors (again, reading many reviews for PhiPhi hotels, this seems quite common), however the room didn't smell at all.
Overall, i'd say this is acceptable if you want one or two nights on PhiPhi. I don't think any more than that is necessary. If it was priced more reasonably, i'd say it could be good value for money but at over 4000 baht a night, it simply isn't right now. But I guess that comes down to competition, supply and demand.
The most important aspect for me was the quietness – not 100% but again, probably better than many other parts of the island.
EEimearTThis is a fabulous place to stay. It’s tucked away in the corner of a beautiful beach so it’s peaceful and chilled but still walking distance (5mins) to the main shops, cafes, bars and harbour of PhiPhi.
The bamboo huts are very solid and appeared to be really well sealed so no bugs getting in and excellent at holding the cool air from the air conditioner inside. Very comfy bed, soft bed linen, good pillows, bathrobes, bottled water and good quality toiletries all provided. Gorgeous bathroom with great showers.
Welcome drink and snacks provided in the room.
The breakfast buffet was incredible- so much choice and everything was delicious. We also ate lunch here one day and dinner here one night and both were delicious,
The swim up pool bar was a real treat with happy hour 2 for one cocktails from 3-5 as well as delicious smoothies ice cream and made to order sushi available.
The pool is stunning of with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Pool towels supplied. Also possible to hire canoes and stand up paddle boards to take out on the bay. (1 hour included for free for all guests).
The staff were lovely at all times. A delight to deal with at all times.
Lastly yes you can hear the noise from the bar across the bay in the evenings from 10 to 2:30 am but the resort supplies ear plugs and we all slept perfectly fine every night.
If you are sensitive to noise maybe bring some noise blocking ear plugs but don’t let that be the reason you miss out on staying in this stunning resort.
GGuest UserIt takes about an hour to get to Phi Phi Island from Phuket Royal Marina by the hotel's speedboat.
The hotel front desk staff doesn't speak any Chinese, so you'll need to communicate entirely in English. You can book your return transportation when you check in.
The hotel environment is very nice, the staff are all very polite, and the rooms are clean. The only downside is the excessive number of mosquitoes! Be sure to bring your own mosquito repellent! Also, bring some mosquito patches, as there are many mosquitoes outdoors too!
The hotel has a Western restaurant, a buffet restaurant, a Thai restaurant, etc. The food quality is generally mediocre, and the prices are not cheap. The Thai restaurant is halfway up the hill, requires reservations, and it's dark with lots of mosquitoes, so I don't recommend going there.
For the return trip, I'm not sure why we shared a boat with guests from three other hotels along the way. There were a lot of people and luggage, and it was very crowded. My boyfriend and I sat together, and some white ”mean girls” commented that we were selfish and didn't understand why we didn't sit separately to maintain balance... but no other couples on the boat were sitting separately. Since we were the only two Chinese people, it's hard not to suspect discrimination.
GGuest UserFacilities: The garden villa room is spacious enough, with extra beds available in both the living room and bedroom, which was very convenient for our family of two adults and two children. The large balcony dried clothes quickly. However, the room was a bit old, the air conditioner was noisy, and the bathroom door creaked loudly every time it opened or closed.
Service: We requested a room close to the snorkeling area in our booking, and they gave us a spot right in the middle of it, which was great. Upon arrival, we received welcome juice and a detailed resort explanation presented kneeling, a very nice touch. Food was delivered to the room, and overall, the service attitude was excellent.
Environment: The resort has abundant vegetation and is quite expansive, making you feel like you're staying in a forest. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes; after lying by the pool for a short while, I ended up with seven bites on my back. Every morning around 5 or 6 am, you can hear monkeys, various large birds, and boats, making it difficult to sleep in.
Hygiene: The room was cleaned very well.
Aside from that: On our first day, we went out to a restaurant recommended by reviews, and our whole family ended up with food poisoning, spending two days recuperating at the hotel. Before leaving the island, I felt a bit disappointed and decided to check out the underwater situation. Luckily, I spotted Nemo! Nemo's location: From the restaurant, walk along the beach to the first beachfront room with a pool. Enter the water and look about 1 meter outside the right side of the floating buoy area, as circled in the picture. The anemone isn't very big, only about 20 centimeters, so you'll need to look carefully.
TToni CummingsCoco Bella Hotel is centrally located in Phi Phi, which is definitely its strongest feature. It’s within easy walking distance of restaurants, massage spas, bars, and many of the island’s popular tourist attractions. Very convenient if you want to be in the middle of the action.
I’m a fairly extensive international traveler and appreciate luxury when my budget allows, but I also understand that some hotels are simply meant to serve a functional purpose. This property falls into that category. The room wasn’t sparkling clean, but it was adequate for a short stay. The bed itself was comfortable, though the pillows could use improvement. The room was a decent size, but not particularly aesthetically appealing.
Amenities were basic: Shower gel, pool/beach towels, bath towels and a washcloth were provided. There may have been some plumbing issues, as a mild sewage odor was occasionally noticeable, which was unpleasant but not overpowering. There is no elevator, however the staff was helpful with luggage, and the flights of stairs are short and manageable.
Overall, Coco Bella Hotel works if you’re prioritizing location and practicality over comfort or luxury. It’s suitable for travelers who plan to spend most of their time out exploring Phi Phi and just need a place to sleep at the end of the day.
GGuest UserCheck in was a breeze with luggage handlers helping carry your luggage from the pier to the hotel. The reception girls are really lovely and helpful with whatever request you might have(like booking boats to your next destination), just remember to say please and thank you(kohp khun ka/krap). The hotel is the last one on the pier side bay, therefore is really quiet, even now in high season. The down low is that you have to walk 20minutes to restaurants and bars on 30+ degree heat + high humity,so expect to arrive sweating both ways. The hotel itself is probably 40/50 years old and seems that never been renovated, the inside of the rooms need freshing up,paint etc...an overall renovation of the whole building. Although the rooms were clean, aircon was good and our room with the pool access(1 of 3) had great views from the bay. Pool was also clean and it was at a good temperature. If you are here for just a couple of days it is fine. Breakfast is basic but they have an egg station, so you can order your eggs however you prefer. And the black coffee was great too(better than other hotels we stayed in Bangkok/Krabi). The hotel staff were very kind to supply my wife with Flying Rabbit(a local thai version of gaviscon/diarrhoea medicine) which helped a mild food poisoning combined with charcoal tablets. Moreover, the hotel has a little private beach with sun lounges at the very end of the bay, perfect for chilling when you don't have any boat trips booked for the morning. Be aware that it becomes shady after around 3pm because its so close to the mountain. Also there were monkeys signs on your doors to keep them lock to prevent curious monkeys of rummaging through your stuff but we haven't seen any during our 3 night stay. Would I stay at this hotel again? Probably not unless completely renovated:, too far from the restaurants and bars and very old/tired. Make sure you use some walking shoes when going out because you definitely gonna hit that 10000 steps mark.
TTavivI chose this hotel after walking past it earlier and seeing the pool from the outside. It looked nice enough to convince me to stay here. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake.
It seems that this hotel and next to it the Phi Phi Andaman Beach Resort Is the same hotel
with the same management just with different name
To start with the positives — the staff are polite and helpful. Someone waited for us and other at the pier when we arrived with the ferry ⛴️ and helped transport the luggage to the hotel (about a 15-minute walk).
Reception staff were friendly as well. That’s appreciated — but also fairly standard service in this area,
Breakfast is acceptable there is enough variety to satisfy basic hunger. However, there is no proper coffee machine and the bread selection is disappointing. The baguette, for example, was dry.
On the positive side, the dining area has a beautiful sea view. Honestly, the view is more satisfying than the food itself.
The hotel itself is clearly neglected. The grass is burned and not maintained, trees and bushes are not trimmed, and the overall property looks like it hasn’t been properly cared for in a long time.
The room lighting in the room is very poor. The bed is acceptable but the bathroom lighting is extremely weak I couldn't see myself shaving and the water pressure is barely enough for a normal shower.
The air conditioner also works weakly and noisy
Honestly, it’s hard to understand how management feels comfortable selling rooms in this condition. If the hotel doesn’t care about its guests, why should guests care about the hotel?
Luckily, I booked only one night to test the place first. I’m leaving and moving somewhere else.
And the pool the reason I chose this hotel in the first place was the biggest disappointment. The water is very warm and smells strongly of chlorine, tiles inside the pool are missing or broken, the internal steps feel unsafe, some chairs are torn, and some areas of the synthetic carpet are ripped.
So yes — the pool looks nice from the outside. Just don’t make the mistake of getting closer.
MMininininiUpon arrival, things got off to a bit of a rough start. Room 210, while advertised with a sea view, had a very limited one, which wasn't a huge deal. The most unpleasant part was the leaky pipe by the toilet. My request to switch rooms with the front desk wasn't successful. After adjusting my mindset and accepting it, it was fine—the water was clean anyway, and I was there to relax, so no need to dwell on it.
However, I do recommend the hotel renovates soon, otherwise, it's a waste of such a beautiful location.
Summary:
1. The facilities are indeed old. The exterior looks okay, but the interior is too basic. Friends accustomed to five-star hotels might find it hard to adapt. I had to comfort my child and convince myself, but once I accepted it, it was fine.
2. If you want a true, unobstructed sea view room, be sure to communicate with the hotel beforehand. Only rooms starting with '1' will do. The higher the room number, the higher up the hill it is, so be prepared for a cardio workout every time you head back to your room.
3. The service was generally good. I didn't feel any prejudice or mistreatment towards Chinese guests. The porters who helped with luggage were the best.
4. Cat lovers will overlook all the negatives and fall in love with this place, just like my son. He initially complained about everything, but after bribing many cats with cat food to hang out on our balcony, he was very sad to leave.
TTourAmoI recently stayed at The Hotel and it was a delightful experience! The staff were incredibly welcoming and efficient. My room was spacious, spotless, and offered a stunning city view. The bed was super comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The dining options were excellent, with delicious meals and attentive service. Highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay!
