Hotels near Mitsukoshi Ginza, Tokyo

This hotel is quite convenient if you're planning to visit attractions in the Asakusa/Ginza area. I stayed here once before when I was traveling alone, so I chose it again this time. The hotel's location is relatively convenient, with the train station right across the street. However, if you have luggage and need to use an elevator, you'll have to walk about 200 meters. The most delightful surprise was waking up to a row of cherry blossoms right outside my window! The hotel staff were also excellent; they even walked us all the way to the laundry room. (The only minor inconvenience is that the laundry room is in a small separate building outside, and it's not a washer-dryer combo. Each time, you have to go down to the first floor and walk through a small path to get to it, which is a bit troublesome, and it gets a little dark at night…) It's very convenient that you can buy travel passes right at the hotel front desk.

Not my first time staying in this chain but the first time at this hotel. Room was a bit more spacious and the view was better for me, cause I love a lot of natural sunlight. Everything was perfect. Reception was so helpful with all my needs. They sent my luggage to my next hotel and it arrived next morning before midday. Location is superb. Literally in the heart of Ginza. MITSUKOSHI right in front of the hotel just cross the road. Happy Pancake literally 1 min away, right in the next corner. Metro station right next to the entrance.

The location is great, with several restaurants close to the hotel. It’s also easy to get to Shimbashi train station. I stayed overnight, and the late check-in counter was very accommodating.

This hostel was an amazing experience! The location is super convenient for getting around, the room was clean and fresh with no weird smells, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The common areas were cozy and well-equipped, and the staff were warm and attentive. It offers incredible value for money, and staying here made my trip feel really secure and worry-free. The hotel is located in Higashi-Ginza. After exiting the subway, it's about a 5-10 minute walk. Along the way, you'll pass well-known hotels like Mitsui Garden and Marriott properties. This particular hotel is on a smaller side street, but it's still quite easy to find. Our twin beds were pushed together, which was perfect for a family with children. I was surprised and impressed by the Japanese design of the bathroom, where the shower, toilet, and vanity were all separated – very practical indeed. The room size was adequate. Perhaps because we arrived late, we were given a room on the 3rd floor and told there were no higher floors available. The hotel only has two elevators, and the lobby is on the 2nd floor, which can be awkward during peak times as the elevator from the 3rd floor must stop on the 2nd floor first. We sometimes had to wait a long time for an elevator, and you can't take the stairs directly from the 3rd floor to the 1st, which was a bit time-consuming. We didn't book breakfast at the hotel, as there's a 7-Eleven right downstairs and a FamilyMart about 20 meters away. We ended up getting most of our breakfast from these two convenience stores for our 3-day stay. The hotel isn't far from Ginza, which is very vibrant at night. When we returned late, we'd usually walk back from Ginza Station, taking our time and browsing the shops. Common drugstores are plentiful near the hotel, many with Chinese-speaking staff. Major brand stores in Ginza are also conveniently clustered together, so you can easily find your preferred luxury items. With some discounts, the exchange rate worked out to about 4.3 (RMB to JPY, assuming context). However, popular attractions like Senso-ji Temple and Tokyo Skytree are a bit further away. In summary, if you're coming to Tokyo primarily for shopping, this hotel is a good option. It offers great value for money in the Ginza area.

I recently stayed at Mitsui Garden Hotel Shiodome Italia-gai and had a generally pleasant experience, though there were a few drawbacks worth noting. Location: The hotel is conveniently located within a short walk of several train stations and the monorail, making it an excellent base for exploring Tokyo. The surrounding Italia-gai district is calm and charming, with relatively light local traffic. However, the noise insulation leaves much to be desired. Trains from multiple nearby lines can be heard frequently and quite loudly from early morning till late at night. Additionally, the nearby fire department sirens are audible, though not as disruptive as the trains. Room: By Tokyo standards, the room was spacious and comfortable. However, I noticed blackish deposits around the air-conditioning outlet, which I hoped were not mold. To err on the side of caution, I chose not to operate the AC during my stay. Aside from this concern, the room was generally satisfactory. Service: Check-in and check-out were efficient and convenient via automated machines. The front desk staff were kind and accommodating, and assisted with any additional questions. Room service was thorough and reliable, ensuring a clean and pleasant environment throughout my stay. Breakfast: The breakfast buffet offered a mix of Japanese and European-style dishes. The taste and quality were acceptable, with an average but adequate selection. Between 7:30 and 8:30 AM, the restaurant becomes extremely crowded, often resulting in no available seating and a wait outside. The space feels undersized for the number of guests, making the atmosphere less comfortable during peak hours. It would be helpful if the hotel informed guests about busy times to allow for better planning. Overall: This hotel offers a convenient location, spacious rooms, and friendly service. However, improvements in soundproofing, breakfast crowd management, and room maintenance would significantly enhance the guest experience.

I chose to stay at this hotel for a weekend. First, the location is great – very convenient for getting to Ginza, and there are plenty of dining options nearby, plus it's right next to a theater. The room was a bit cramped. It would be fine for one person, but for two, it would be quite awkward. There was a massage chair in the room, but I didn't get around to using it during my two-day stay. The bathroom has a shower, which was acceptable. The breakfast offered a good variety of dishes, but the portions for each item were very small, which made me a bit hesitant to serve myself. I can understand that they might be trying to avoid waste. On the bright side, the bread was replenished very promptly, and there was a coffee machine where you could make different types of coffee. Near the front desk, there were complimentary tea bags and lotions available. Overall, the service attitude was excellent – very friendly and polite. Next time, I'll opt for a larger room.

Staff was rude! The old men on the reception was unfriendly! Feels like they are “******” to the foreigners - that is totally not okay in modern world! Staff did want to help and did not smiled. Ba careful - before check inn you need to pay Tokyo Tax, you can not pay by cash and your foreign credit card may not work in Japan but of course you do not have Japanese credit card, so you have no choice in this situation, the old man on the reception will laugh at your face and will not help you.

This hotel is very well located in the heart of Ginza and provides all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. We were given pajamas, slippers, and other amenities, which was a nice touch. Although the room is small, as is common with most hotels in Tokyo, it is very well located, very clean, and I believe it offers everything needed to enjoy a pleasant stay.

Great value for money and convenient transportation. Facilities: Very satisfied. Cleanliness: Clean, tidy, and orderly. Environment: Simple and stylish. Service: Friendly and helpful, especially being able to shop at major department stores near Ginza right outside the hotel.
