"Very good location next to train station. Very quiet location but also orime for shopping and night life. Short walk. Local shops and takeaways. Abundance of chain restaurants short distance. Apartments very clean, and had everything required. Was better than a hotel stay. Could cook and had dishwasher if needed. Free 24 hour tea and coffee from lobby and complimentary quants in the morning. Staff are very friendly and helped for local restaurant selection. They also support the homeless when you purchases slippers. They also offer discount for a car park 5 min walk away. Would definitely stay here again"

"The room was very clean and cozy, and the front desk staff were really helpful. What truly stood out was the breakfast – incredibly fresh! The hot chocolate was hands down the best I've had in the UK. Plus, it's just a few minutes' walk to the station, super convenient and smooth."

"Lovely hotel in excellent location. However, when got back to our room in the evening, there was a loud disco going on above us, from the brochure of the hotel it was indicated this would end at midnight. We still heard it at 2am . We also tried to order room service and got no answer on phone. Finally, we were woken at 8am Sunday morning by what sounded like cleaners moving all the furniture and scrapping the floor. We mentioned it on checking out, and although the staff apologised, it did not sound very sincere. Would be reluctant to return ."

"Had an amazing stay here at the Lord Collingwood suite. Room was clean, tidy, well presented and had ample soap, shower gel, tea, coffee etc. The only minor issue was hair left in the bathtub after the previous guest. Although I understand housekeepers do miss these little things, it is still a necessity to ensure no hair or dirt is left in the bathroom. The location is fantastic; very close to the city centre, quayside and the train station. Will definitely return! ☺️"

"Fantastic stay, when we arrived there was a problem with our room but the issue was sorted straight away. The room was lovely. We had a fantastic view. We had an executive room so had access to the lounge which as lovely, high tea in the after, drinks and hot food at teatime."

"We booked this hotel for its location near to both the railway station and Utilita Arena and it was perfect. Staff friendly, breakfast included. One point to note re parking which isn’t free (you only get 15 mins free to check in) - parking is in the Grainger Town car park and cost us about £30 for less than 2 days. Double beds are quite small but otherwise we enjoyed our stay."

"Helpful friendly staff at reception Good location. The bathroom in my room had an unpleasant odour, smell, possibly the pipes from the toilets, was clean but the smell was very unpleasant. Bathroom needs ripping out & updating & new pipes for toilet. Not good for light sleepers like myself - can hear drunks outside & people outside at night. The train going past on the bridge is a lil noisy & the guests in other room made noise. Comfy bed & nice sized room & view. Hard working housekeepers who do an EXCELLENT job 💫💫💫 Good value for money."

"Great location, within walking distance to both the train station and St. James' Park. I had already paid for the hotel when I booked it, but they asked for my credit card again during self-check-in. I had to find a staff member to process it manually afterwards, so be careful about that. The room was very spacious, and I could fully open my suitcase. The only downside was that the water pressure in the shower was a bit weak."

The hotel facilities are comprehensive and well-maintained, although the mattress was saggy and the pillows were of poor quality."
