Helpful friendly staff at reception Good location. The bathroom in my room had an unpleasant odour, smell, possibly the pipes from the toilets, was clean but the smell was very unpleasant. Bathroom needs ripping out & updating & new pipes for toilet. Not good for light sleepers like myself - can hear drunks outside & people outside at night. The train going past on the bridge is a lil noisy & the guests in other room made noise. Comfy bed & nice sized room & view. Hard working housekeepers who do an EXCELLENT job 💫💫💫 Good value for money.

The hostel is in a great location, very close to the city centre and within easy walking distance. The cleanliness was okay overall, although the extractor fan in the bathroom wasn’t working properly, so the room felt a little damp. One very positive detail was the hand soap and shampoo provided, they smelled amazing. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the common area is comfortable and cosy. There is no kitchen, but coffee and snacks are available. There can be some noise from the other rooms and from doors being slammed. I was a little unlucky during my stay because there was a children’s football team staying at the hostel. They were quite noisy late at night and early in the morning, knocking on doors, shouting and running through the corridors. Of course, this wasn’t the hostel’s fault, but unfortunately it made my stay less enjoyable. Overall, I would still recommend this hostel, especially to women travelling solo. I felt safe and comfortable during my stay.

The room is lovely and the location is very convenient to access everywhere. In addition, the service was great. With the reasonable price, the amenities are good.

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, but it’s quite a walk to the main attractions. The reception staff were very friendly, and the service overall was excellent. However, the hotel itself feels a bit dated and could use some renovation.

The location is excellent, directly opposite Newcastle train station. The day before, I stayed at the Hampton next door. The price increased significantly the next day, so I moved to this one, which had a stable price. However, it was really bad, and I advise my fellow countrymen to be cautious about staying here. The room itself matched the merchant's photos. The bathroom was generally spacious, but there was a significant waste of space. It shouldn't have been designed like this after a renovation. I've never seen such a ridiculously designed sink; the faucet is too close to the basin, so simply washing your hands causes water to spill all over the floor. There's also no floor drain in the bathroom, so we had to cover the entire floor with towels. Also, a £50 deposit is required upon check-in, authorized via credit card. Other hotels usually release it immediately upon checkout. I specifically asked when checking out, and they said it would take 'a few days.' I don't understand why. I waited a week and it still wasn't refunded. After Ctrip customer service intervened, it was immediately refunded. Truly outrageous. Personally, I think as long as the Hampton by Hilton next door isn't more than 50% more expensive, I'd still recommend staying at the Hampton. It has better facilities, includes breakfast, and the service is better. Don't come here to be annoyed.

The location of the hotel is right opposite St James’ Park stadium, which is perfect as we were there to watch Newcastle United Football Club’s matches. It is easily accessible to every area of the town and also walkable to the city centre and the train station. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Sandman Signature Newcastle hotel and would recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Newcastle!

The stair carpet is so dirty and feels like a small hotel. The door lock is a bit damaged and looks unsafe. The bar downstairs is lively until 12 o'clock. I can't sleep well. The accommodation experience is not very good. The price is not high.

Just what we needed for 1 night in Newcastle the room was basic could say a little dated but had everything that we needed the service was amazing by the guy on reception I couldn’t fault the place really.. the location is a little out but local taxis were never an issue to get

I booked this for my Grandaughter and I to attend an appointment in Newcastle at 1.30pm and also a concert in the evening at the arena. Arriving well before check in at 3pm, the receptionist kindly allowed us to park in the hotel car park thus enabling us not to have to move the car from the metro station opposite later. This was a great help- thankyou. We checked in after our appointment and got our key for room 23. It was nice and cosy with the heating on and extremely clean. I did struggle to turn off the cold tap fully in the bathroom but my Grandaughter sorted it...maybe needs some attention from a professional. After getting changed, we headed back up town on the metro where we enjoyed seeing Rick Astley. It was quite late when we returned hungry but the hotel was fine with us ordering a McDonald's delivery from Kingston Park. All in all with breakfast included in the price, we had a super time.
