"The room 515 was absolutely lovely inside to stay over but the taps were extremely hot in the sink and the plugs weren’t working properly as the sink kept jamming in and couldn’t hardly push it to release the water, that also includes the bath so it will need maintenance work so the water runs smoothly and plus you need to replace the bath plug as walked in to a damaged one, great facility’s but the room needs to be a little bit bigger and was expecting a room to not be in a corner."

"Room ok, staff friendly, downstairs is the Blance bar where you have 25% discount on food and drink, the only negative note is the breakfast is not like in the photos and they don't have a coffee machine but a machine that dispenses everything with blends"

"It was a pleasant stay. I had only one meal here, though. But the property is well connected and right in the middle of jesmond and it's surrounded by restaurants. My only complaint was that there were no lifts. Vinod helped me with my suitcases though. So other than the lifts, i had a wonderful stay."

"Upon checking in the lade receptionist was quite rude to us never smiled either . In the evening we went to eat in the bar salad came with mud still on the leaves which then put us off our meals, I asked for refund . Receptionist came refunded our salad but not once from the restaurant staff or the receptionist did I receive an apology which is unheard of . Later I asked same receptionist for a late checkout as being a Leonardo Hotels member you can get this free of charge he said yes I shall mark that down. Today at 10am I was wanting to check that the evening receptionist had noted it down luckily I had checked as he hadn't even done it . The lady receptionist had to put it on . Would I stay again absolutely not ."

"Great if you have to be in this area, nice bars inside the hotel. It is a bit outdated compared to more modern hotels and personally I don't like carpet flooring too much but it's typical in the older hotels in the UK, at least they were clean and had no bad smell. Supermarket very close by. Metrostation jesmond West around 6 minutes walking distance."

"Very good location next to train station. Very quiet location but also orime for shopping and night life. Short walk. Local shops and takeaways. Abundance of chain restaurants short distance. Apartments very clean, and had everything required. Was better than a hotel stay. Could cook and had dishwasher if needed. Free 24 hour tea and coffee from lobby and complimentary quants in the morning. Staff are very friendly and helped for local restaurant selection. They also support the homeless when you purchases slippers.
They also offer discount for a car park 5 min walk away. Would definitely stay here again"

"This was a last-minute booking for my daughter and me. It was all clean and great for an overnight stay. Beds are comfy, so good night sleep. Breakfast had a GF option and was all tasty."

"The room was in the top floor and felt quiet. It’s very convenient to have the bar and restaurant just downstairs. I didn’t try the food but it was looking nice. The WiFi was good and the facilities in the room were great too with free tea and coffee. The bed could be improved but it was okay for a night. The room has in suite bathroom."

Good location.
The bathroom in my room had an unpleasant odour, smell, possibly the pipes from the toilets, was clean but the smell was very unpleasant. Bathroom needs ripping out & updating & new pipes for toilet. Not good for light sleepers like myself - can hear drunks outside & people outside at night. The train going past on the bridge is a lil noisy & the guests in other room made noise. Comfy bed & nice sized room & view. Hard working housekeepers who do an EXCELLENT job 💫💫💫 Good value for money.

GGuest UserThe location is excellent, directly opposite Newcastle train station. The day before, I stayed at the Hampton next door. The price increased significantly the next day, so I moved to this one, which had a stable price. However, it was really bad, and I advise my fellow countrymen to be cautious about staying here.
The room itself matched the merchant's photos. The bathroom was generally spacious, but there was a significant waste of space. It shouldn't have been designed like this after a renovation. I've never seen such a ridiculously designed sink; the faucet is too close to the basin, so simply washing your hands causes water to spill all over the floor. There's also no floor drain in the bathroom, so we had to cover the entire floor with towels.
Also, a £50 deposit is required upon check-in, authorized via credit card. Other hotels usually release it immediately upon checkout. I specifically asked when checking out, and they said it would take 'a few days.' I don't understand why. I waited a week and it still wasn't refunded. After Ctrip customer service intervened, it was immediately refunded. Truly outrageous.
Personally, I think as long as the Hampton by Hilton next door isn't more than 50% more expensive, I'd still recommend staying at the Hampton. It has better facilities, includes breakfast, and the service is better. Don't come here to be annoyed.

BBJooVery easy checked in and out. Hotel is very near to the Newcastle Central train station and attractions. Although encountering small issues with the room air conditioner, the issue was fast being resolved and the staff in charged was very kind to give us the breakfast as a token of compensation. All the staff are friendly and a hotel to stay when you’re here in Newcastle.

GGuest UserEverything was as expected except for clenness - the cups and spoons were not cleaned, there were stains of coffe or tea from the previous stay, we washed them.
The most terrible part was bathroom:
- there was a stainfull unwashed towel on the bathroom floor as we entered the room but even worse was the shower cabin. It was all slippery from the previous person’s shower and lots of short shaved hairs - all in all, the room was ok but the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. One more thing to mention would be a lot of noises from other guests which explains the poor sound-proofing of rooms.

TThe mighty BantamWe had booked a junior suite. On arrival we were greeted warmly and efficiently checked in. We were given our key and told we were in room 118. We were told that we had to go up one floor in the lift and then backdown the stairs as our room was in between floors. It was the only room at that level. Had I have known that I wouldn’t have booked it as I was travelling with my mum who is post surgery with a new hip, and stairs and luggage were a bit of a challenge. Anyway, once inside our suite was perfect. It consisted of a living/dining/kitchen room with a sofa, TV and pretty much a full kitchen, I.e Hob, fridge with an ice box, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The bedroom was made to feel a little small as the bed was absolutely huge, it also had a TV in there too. The bathroom was quite standard but spotlessly clean. The only gripe I had was there was only one electric heater and that was in the bedroom, so if you were cold I had to go into the bedroom. Would I stay there again…..yes but perhaps in a room that didn’t need to climb stairs.

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, my experience was not very comfortable.
The air conditioning in the room was completely ineffective and did not cool the space at all. Although the room was equipped with a small fan, it was nowhere near sufficient for two people, especially during a heatwave.
The bathroom extractor fan was also not working, which meant that after taking a shower, the room became even hotter and more humid. As the window could not be opened, there was no way to get fresh air or any ventilation. We ended up spending a very uncomfortable and restless night due to the excessive heat.
The hotel’s location is not particularly central, but it is reasonably close to the city centre. One positive aspect is that it offers free parking and breakfast, which is definitely appreciated.
Overall, if the air conditioning were properly repaired, I would be happy to consider staying here again in the future.

GGuest UserI booked this for my Grandaughter and I to attend an appointment in Newcastle at 1.30pm and also a concert in the evening at the arena.
Arriving well before check in at 3pm, the receptionist kindly allowed us to park in the hotel car park thus enabling us not to have to move the car from the metro station opposite later. This was a great help- thankyou.
We checked in after our appointment and got our key for room 23. It was nice and cosy with the heating on and extremely clean.
I did struggle to turn off the cold tap fully in the bathroom but my Grandaughter sorted it...maybe needs some attention from a professional.
After getting changed, we headed back up town on the metro where we enjoyed seeing Rick Astley.
It was quite late when we returned hungry but the hotel was fine with us ordering a McDonald's delivery from Kingston Park. All in all with breakfast included in the price, we had a super time. Cheers!
