Four Points Flex by Sheraton Newcastle
"The location is very good - a short walk from train station Food: I had breakfast included in my package but I am NOT very happy with the choices in the SMALL buffet they presented. Very limited choices, waste of money . Rooms: the rooms are very SMALL and not expected for this hotel brand. Apparently I was confused with the word FLEX , which is a budget standard hotel. They charge £2.50 for dental kit… what a joke! Reception staff: Friendly staff and welcoming- no problem there. Missing basic amenities, which does NOT really cost them a lot, leaves negative impression on the hotel. Overall impression: Not very happy and wound NOT recommend if you are looking for decent stay with luxury, bearing in mind, the prices i was charged are NOT cheap…"

Holiday Inn Express NEWCASTLE CITY CENTRE by IHG
"Everything was excellent, the breakfast buffet is very complete and is really good, the double twin room was perfect for me and my friend and it had everything you could ever need, one of the men in the reception was super nice with us. 10/10 quality and price."
Travelodge Newcastle Central
"Located in the old town. There are many attractions around. However, there is a fee for checking in a few hours in advance."

"Very good option for Newcastle"
Cairn Hotel Newcastle Jesmond - Part of the Cairn Collection
"I stayed due to having an early morning appointment at The Freeman Hospital. The hotel is about 12 minutes walk from West Jesmond Metro Station and the walk from the hotel to the hospital took me 30 minutes in the snow, so probably 10 minutes less on a more normal day - 5 minutes by taxi probably. I am very impressed given that the hotel is billed as just a 2 star one. I would guess that the lack of a 3rd star will be largely down to there not being lifts, not to my second floor room in the main building anyway - potentially a deal-breake, especially if your visit is Freeman related. My room was every bit as comfortable as a Premier Inn one for example and in it's cheerful contemporary way a lot more attractively decorated. I stayed on 4th Jannuary - and the temperature was -5 outside ! The room was a bit chilly when I arrived but a good fan heater had already been put in there to supplement the normal central heating. It was not the hotel's fault that the shower room was never brilliantly warm! The shower was excellent though and the room was very well equipped. I did not try the breakfast; £13.50. Staff were helpful. I'll stay there again and not just for going to the hospital!"

"Arrive into a crazy Newcastle on a Saturday afternoon , once we got to the hotel we was fearing a noisy couple of nights , We asked the girl helping us check in via the new self service desks for a quiet room , and true to her word that’s what we got , we never heard a thing both nights Room clean and spacious , Breakfast , bacon over cooked , rest ok Will stay again next time we are up here"
Kabannas Newcastle
"Really great hostel. Comfy beds. Clean rooms. The shower is great too. I always try and stop here when travelling for work."
Premier Suites Newcastle
"Three adults, 2 bedrooms, two bath (one on suite), immensely comfortable beds. Lounge and beautiful fully equipped kitchen. Spotless. Fantastic value. Staff are just fabulous, kind and friendly. Couldn’t ask for anything else. Near to absolutely everything central Newcastle. Will 100% stay again."
Grey Street Hotel
"Nice hotel, great location. Rooms are nicely decorated. We had a room that looked into the back courtyard so not much to see and it was a bit on the dark side. A few niggles. The shower is a bath combined and it's a decent climb in so not for someone less mobile. In addition, the shower head is fixed so difficult to stand under it - it tends to hit you in the chest or back. I would still recommend it for it's style and convenient location to the city centre."
Grand Hotel Gosforth Park
"Price was reasonable"
DoubleTree by Hilton Newcastle International Airport
"Room was very tired. This use to be a lovely hotel but now, from our recent experience, it’s very much fur coat and no knickers. Lovely reception bar and dinning areas but our room was definitely not what Hilton use to stand for. Our room was very very tired. The wood work was all chipped and looking shabby, the pleather head board had numerous bare/worn areas and there was mould in the bathroom. Not sure if all rooms have these issues our just the ones you get if booked through trip.com."
Holiday Inn Newcastle South by IHG
"Came here for a 1980s night with some colleagues. We’ve been here a few times previously when it was the clarion for entertainment nights and never had an issue. This was a 1980s night, whereas between ourselves me made it a good time, the entertainment (singer) was absolutely abysmal, the volume was too loud so we sat on the foyer and her voice was still going through us. Fortunately it didn’t last too long as the act didn’t spend long on the stage, there were many people complaining. However the disco was fab! The food was a huge disappointment, basically was a Christmas dinner………turkey that was like flip flops, tinned carrots, hard parsnips, roast potatoes that were crap and on top of that bloody sprouts. So we all said it was left over Xmas dinner that had been frozen as it didn’t taste fresh. 🤢Oh and dry Yorkshire puddings which we saw the staff eating in the kitchen. It was the 31st January for goodness sake so should not be getting anything like a Xmas dinner at this time. Other meals we have there have been nice, chicken and veg and has always tasted fresh not like the rubbish we were served on this 80s night. The staff were lovely and as I said we thoroughly enjoyed the disco. The bar seemed a bit understaffed took ages to wait for a drink. All in all would return again going by good previous experiences we have had, so will give it another chance. But never again if next time the entertainment and food are horrid….."
Holiday Inn NEWCASTLE - JESMOND by IHG
"The staff was super kind and helpful! They helped us check-in early and ALSO check-out later with no issue whatsoever! We also had an issue with the electricity in our room and, after explaining them the situation, they very promptly gave us another room so we could get ready for our event! Not only, in the end there was no need for another room because they rapidly fixed the issue! Would 100% recommend! The location was also great for both short Uber trips and short walking based on what you prefer/need!"
Britannia Hotel Newcastle Airport
"Hotel is very close to Newcastle airport. You can walk to the airport from the hotel. Very basic hotel just good for sleeping."
Staybridge Suites NEWCASTLE by IHG
"so clean and love the service"
Novotel Newcastle Airport Hotel

Dakota Newcastle
"Would be great if they had food served till late in the bar. As we all arrived after 9 and had to order takeaway and had to squeeze 6 of us in a room for dinner."
Crowne Plaza NEWCASTLE - STEPHENSON QUARTER by IHG
"The room wasn't clean. I checked in early as an IHG member benefit at noon, but there was dust on the counter, hair on the bed, and even someone else's underwear behind the curtains!?! I had to inspect and clean it myself. The bed and pillows are very soft, which might depend on personal preference. The breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of continental options. The location is superb, only about a five to six-minute walk from the train station."
County Hotel & County Aparthotel Newcastle
"A perfect location as it was throwing it down with rain when I got off the train..it was very clean.. basic drinks in room that were complimentary Hotels is old so very creaky and I was woken with lots of gurgling in my bathroom from what I can only presume was someone else using their bathroom at 3am . Overall Good"
The Vermont Hotel Newcastle
"As always the staff were fantastic check in was fast and easy the room was spacious and clean and Jim the concierge was on form as always. There is work being done but there was no noise or disruption to our stay. We always choice the Vermont when visiting Newcastle as the location is perfect."
