Great, this is my second time staying here. There are lots of food options nearby, and it's very quiet for sleeping. They even allowed a 2-hour late check-out, and they deliver complimentary tremella soup in the evenings, which is a lovely touch. I'll definitely book again for my next business trip!

I had a very comfortable stay, and it was quiet at night. There were many breakfast options, and the staff enthusiastically cooked mini wontons for me. It's a shame there was no complimentary late-night snack available then, that was a bit of a missed opportunity.

This hotel is an absolute gem! It's so clean and tidy, and the best part is how quiet it is. We arrived around 10 PM, and the front desk agent was incredibly helpful – they even upgraded us to a king-sized bed room, which was a really thoughtful touch. We ended up extending our stay for another night!

I made a last-minute decision to stay at this hotel. I walked here from Taikoo Li shopping center and arrived feeling a bit hot and thirsty. The front desk staff noticed this and kindly offered me a complimentary welcome fruit platter, which they really didn't have to do, but it made me feel very welcomed. Since it was a spontaneous decision, I checked out the next day and didn't get to experience all of the hotel's services in depth. However, the welcome fruit from the front desk staff left a very warm impression. The room was clean and tidy, and the surrounding area was also very pleasant. I left in a hurry the next morning and didn't have time to try other services, but overall, I think it was a great stay.

The hotel has a good environment, a good location, the front desk service is warm and thoughtful, the rooms are cleaned in a timely manner, efficient, and the staff are very dedicated to handling problems in time. Put yourself in the best position for the guests. There is also a laundry room on the first floor, a dryer, and a robot will be delivered to the room when ordering takeaway! Great location and the price was certainly good. However, the room clearly showed its age, and the cleanliness wasn't up to par – especially the bathroom which constantly had a sewer smell… The front desk staff also wasn't very professional. During check-in, I had to actively ask about many things they should have clarified (like which floor breakfast was on, restaurant operating hours, if toiletries were provided, etc.) 😂 The first room key I was given didn't even work, so I had to go back to the front desk.

The service was exceptionally friendly! And the three receptionists were all ladies, so I wasn't worried about those hidden camera incidents at hotels that you see online! The hotel also had all the necessary facilities, making for a very pleasant and comfortable stay!

I absolutely loved this hotel! It's super convenient for getting around, yet the surroundings are so quiet and comfortable. The front desk lady was incredibly sweet too; I had booked a windowless room, but she upgraded me to one with a small window! I absolutely adored that little room!!! The environment and facilities were both excellent, truly amazing! 😻

The hotel is located at the junction of Yaohua Road and Changqing Road. It is a single-family courtyard building. The exterior is themed with container elements, and the interior is combined with bamboo and stone elements to create a Zen-like new Chinese style. Simplicity hides luxury, and brings tranquility amidst the bustle. At the same time, it is built in conjunction with Atour 3.0 quality standards. The hotel is part of the World Expo Cultural and Business District. It is not far from the Shanghai World Expo Source, Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center, Mercedes-Benz Cultural Center and China Art Palace. You can participate in exhibition business activities or watch Shanghai commercial performances within walking distance. Surrounding the hotel are Binjiang International Plaza, Global Metropolis Plaza, Longhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, World Expo Sports Park, World Expo Park and other leisure sports and shopping venues; the hotel is located at the Changqing Road Station of Metro Line 7 and Metro Line 8 , Line 13 overlap here, and Nanpu Bridge, Lupu Bridge, and Dapu Road Tunnel are within easy reach. The transportation is very convenient, making it a preferred place for business travel.

We stayed in a family room with a back door that opens to a nice view, which we really liked. However, when the door is opened, small insects such as spiders can come into the room, and my children were quite afraid. On the other hand, if we keep the door closed, there is no airflow. The room does not have a cooling air-conditioner or fan, only a heating system, so it became quite hot and uncomfortable at night. We would like to suggest installing a mesh screen door to prevent insects from entering while still allowing fresh air into the room.

Stayed here for a business trip. The hotel is very new, clean, and quiet. I checked in quite late at night, but they still upgraded my room. It's also very close to the riverside, which is great for exercising, enjoying the scenery, or just taking a stroll. Super convenient, and the service attitude was excellent.

CCiky2023Our romantic winter getaway began the moment we stepped into Dino Starry Resort, immediately feeling a warm welcome. Unlike a typical hotel's impersonal atmosphere, the staff here felt like old friends, making us feel right at home and completely relaxed.
Getting to Disneyland was a breeze with their Mercedes shuttle, which departed at our pre-arranged time. Breakfast was plentiful, and our room was spotless and tidy. The overall environment was lovely, and there were even small animals in the backyard that we could feed for free.
The biggest surprise, though, was experiencing authentic winter fun. We gathered around a traditional earthen pot stove, warming ourselves and chatting, or enjoyed a steaming hotpot cooked in a vintage hanging pot. On sunny days, we even had a lively outdoor BBQ with plenty of smoke and laughter. From the rustic charm of the earthen pot to the nostalgic feel of the hanging pot and the vibrant energy of the BBQ, this place had it all.
Dino Starry is more than just a place to stay; it's a wonderful space where you can unwind, leave your weariness behind, and relive cherished moments. Come and gather with your loved ones here, and collect a whole winter's worth of warmth amidst delicious food and laughter!
GGuest UserThis Bund hotel stay was absolutely amazing! It's just a 5-minute walk to the riverside, and my room had floor-to-ceiling windows with a perfect view of the Lujiazui 'Three-Piece Suit' – I could watch the Oriental Pearl Tower light up at night right from my bed. The smart toilet and automatic curtains were super convenient, and soaking in the bathtub while enjoying the river view was just heavenly! The freshly baked croissants at breakfast were so good they were practically addictive. The rooftop bar had incredible night views, and the cocktails created a fantastic ambiance. The front desk even proactively upgraded my room and sent welcome fruits, and the robot delivering food was adorable. The soundproofing was excellent; I slept like a baby until I woke up naturally. Plus, free laundry and drying service was such a thoughtful touch! The location is unbeatable – Yu Garden and Nanjing Road are within walking distance, and the subway station is right outside. For around 400+ RMB per person, it felt like a thousand-yuan experience. As a detail-oriented person, I was completely won over. I'm definitely booking this place again on my next trip to Shanghai!
MMenglitanle. The facilities are great, and the room is spacious. Every time I come to Shanghai, I stay at this hotel. The front desk service is excellent, and the cleaning staff do a thorough and meticulous job. I highly recommend this place; they even have free popcorn at the front desk and complimentary whiskey. My girlfriend and I always stay here. The movies are also great, and there's a free membership that allows screen casting. Rooms with windows offer a view of the plane trees.
IimnotminFrom the moment you step into the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund, the elegant charm of Old Shanghai beautifully intertwines with the Bund's vibrant bustle. From your room, you can take in the Lujiazui skyline, with the Huangpu River's day and night flow just outside your window. The personalized concierge service from Aaron Echole was incredibly meticulous, and the entire staff, from concierge to the front desk, exuded the calm sophistication of a long-standing luxury hotel. Enjoying a 'Shanghai Club' cocktail at the Long Bar in the evening felt like stepping back in time to the social scene of a century ago. An absolutely impeccable stay.
GGuest UserThe Peninsula Shanghai, nestled by the Waibaidu Bridge, the Monument to the People's Heroes, and the Bund, might not be described as 'convenient' in the traditional sense, but I found its location perfect for soaking in the unique Shanghainese vibe! The service here is wonderfully old-school and distinctively 'Shanghai' – unhurried yet efficient, demonstrating a clear and deep understanding of guest needs. The rooms are classic Peninsula style, with well-defined functional areas, superb soundproofing, and impeccable cleanliness and maintenance, putting my mind completely at ease. The dining experience was a genuine delight; both breakfast and the Cantonese restaurant in the evening were so memorable. I particularly loved the evening bath ritual – pressing the SPA button and immersing myself in the tranquil, ethereal music, it felt like I was back in a cozy island retreat! My two-day Peninsula experience was a solid 12 out of 10. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai who wants to truly experience its unique charm!
AAnonymous UserThe hotel has a minimalist Japanese style, with a clean and atmospheric environment. The staff are very friendly, warm, and thoughtful. They offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport on the hour, which is super convenient for catching flights – a big plus!
However, staying for four consecutive days, the breakfast selection was incredibly monotonous and never changed. It got really boring after a while. The late-night snack options were also very limited, with only noodles and congee available – far too few choices.
Furthermore, during my stay, I noticed that the indoor air felt stuffy and poorly ventilated, always with a stale odor. My room was close to the road, so opening the window meant car noise, but closing it made the room stuffy and smelly, which significantly reduced my comfort.
On a positive note, they thoughtfully gave me a small souvenir when I checked out, which was a lovely touch. Overall, the service and airport shuttle were good, but the stay would be much better if they could improve the breakfast variety, add more late-night snack options, enhance room ventilation and soundproofing, and eliminate the stale indoor smell.
EElianaCThis review is long overdue! I was in Shanghai for a business trip in early March, and it happened to be raining heavily then. The underfloor heating gave me the warmest, most comfortable night's sleep, and the duvet cover felt incredibly soft. It was my first time staying in a Shikumen building, and the courtyard was so unique and stylish. Both the courtyard and the room's interior design were absolutely beautiful. The unit I stayed in was located on West Yan'an Road, very close to Xintiandi and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. It was perfect – I could just stroll back after dinner in Bei Li. Check-in was also a breeze. I saw that the host manages several other unique B&Bs, so I'd love to try them out sometime!
GGuest UserOur stay was absolutely wonderful! The room was spotless, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable, we slept soundly. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The facilities were comprehensive and had everything we needed. Plus, the location was incredibly convenient – we could easily get to wherever we wanted to go, and it was still quiet, not noisy at all. Overall, we were extremely satisfied and highly recommend staying here!
JjaspenI've wanted to stay at the W Shanghai - The Bund for a long time, and finally got to during my recent trip to Shanghai. It wasn't as perfect as I'd imagined.
First, the good points: The environment is nice, and the cleanliness is decent. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast offers a wide variety. The outdoor bar was the best experience.
Now, for the less satisfying aspects:
1. Previously, when staying at hotels, you could contact scalpers or certain individuals on platforms to use their membership tiers for room upgrades. Since I booked in advance, I contacted them early about a possible upgrade. I was told that if there was an available room type on the day, I could be upgraded. However, on the day of check-in, they claimed there were no rooms available and didn't upgrade me. At the time, I checked the Ctrip app and saw that rooms *were* available. I'm a platinum member with upgrade benefits, and I still didn't get one.
2. My Ctrip booking included two complimentary drinks, but the front desk didn't provide vouchers during check-in. I only found out at the bar that I needed to go back to the front desk to get them.
3. I had a lot of things and wanted to use the black bag in the closet. Unfortunately, it was broken, and the hotel hadn't replaced it in time.
GGuest UserI stayed here temporarily for a visa appointment. Although the room is small, it's reflected in the price, and it was perfectly fine for one person. The location is downtown, close to everything. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and tidy. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I'm very satisfied! ✅
