The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Drum Tower (though Gaode Maps was a bit off, directing me to the Drum Tower roundabout). The hotel's overall design is pleasant. Upon entering the room, it felt like a classic 4-star hotel in terms of layout. The attention to detail was excellent; things like the signs and small amenities were thoughtfully placed and very user-friendly. It gives the impression that the owner has a background in hotel management.
The sole drawback was the strong foot odor emanating from the duvet I used. My friends staying in other rooms didn't encounter this, but the smell in my room was quite pervasive. I suspect the linen might have been contaminated during transport or handling. Additionally, the carpet in the guest room showed signs of age, with some dusty spots in hard-to-reach areas.
The hotel offers a private parking lot, and they were very thoughtful in covering my car with a sunshade, which was a great service.
The half-point deduction is primarily for the duvet's strange smell; otherwise, everything else was excellent.

Hotel location is very good, service is very good, health is very clean, shower is particularly comfortable. After we checked in, the hotel also sent welcome fruit. The best thing is the hotel's breakfast, there are eight treasure tea, sheep soup, beef noodles, and other hotel regular breakfasts, this price is very good. The bathroom had state of the art facilities. The room was comfortable and well designed. Having a translucent window worked well for me as the room was quiet. The front office and housekeeping staff were competent and polite.
Location is superb. It's on the corner of the Gulou Pedestrian Mall and Xinhua Road. Only the tinu lobby is on the ground floor and the exact entry is not evident. Look for the overhead crossing, the escalators and the Sony shop. There are many places to eat: on the mall, off the mall and all the small lanes.

Normally, for a hotel at this price point, I'd give a 5-star review for an uneventful stay. But this experience was honestly quite frustrating.
First, the housekeeping tried to force their way into my room. I wanted to sleep in, so I had the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on and the door deadbolted. To my surprise, housekeeping knocked twice around 9 AM. I was half-asleep and didn't answer. Then, I was shocked to hear them use their card to open the door directly! If it hadn't been deadbolted, they would have walked right in! When they realized they couldn't open it, they swiped again and pushed down the handle, trying to get in. The door alarm startled me awake, and I shouted, 'Who is it?!' They replied, 'Do you want cleaning?' I said no, not right now, and they just left – seriously, the most 'relaxed and free-spirited' housekeeping service I've ever encountered.
Second, the soundproofing in the room was terrible. The guest next door was on the phone all morning, and I could hear every single word clearly, even the person on the other end of the call. It was impossible to rest. After I changed rooms, I could still hear conversations from next door, indicating it wasn't just an issue with one specific room.
The only thing I was satisfied with was the front desk's service attitude. They were enthusiastic and proactive, helping me switch from a king room to a twin room and apologizing for the housekeeping issue. However, their explanation was: 'The housekeepers are newly hired and haven't been fully trained yet. They don't understand the door signs.' They also mentioned that while housekeeping staff don't care about review ratings, the front desk manager faces pressure over scores and hoped I could understand their difficulties and still give a 5-star review. This explanation was confusing, but following their request for understanding, I can raise my 2-star review to a 3-star. As for a higher rating, I'll leave that to other guests to give once their staff are 'properly trained'.

Environment and Service: The hotel I stayed at during this trip was a truly delightful surprise! The moment I entered the lobby, I felt a warm and comfortable atmosphere; the decor was simple yet stylish. The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and efficient, and they even thoughtfully recommended nearby restaurants and attractions.
Facilities: The room was impeccable—clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding that instantly melted away all my fatigue. The bathroom facilities were also new, with quick hot water, stable water pressure, and pleasant-smelling toiletries.
The hotel's location was superb. There were many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and the subway station was just a few minutes' walk away, making getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel breakfast was also plentiful, offering both Chinese and Western options, and the food was delicious.
This stay was truly fantastic, and I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Yinchuan!

Good value for money, friendly, helpful night staff, no language problem, easy and trouble free foreign friendly. The feedback is based on my room and my overall experience. The room was very clean, newish super clear, bright lights bathroom, with very nice shower. The beds are a bit hard but nothing major, very quite, small but manageable parking space, despite my car being a big. It was one night experience, short but pleasant with lots of food option but the front doors of the hotel. Which very convenient. Definitely recommend unfortunately, I forgot to take some pictures. ThumbsUp 👍

We were on a road trip with our elderly parents and kids, passing through Yinchuan, and chose to stay at the Shangkeyou Hotel near the Drum Tower. It was convenient for both parking and dining. The hotel was clean, and the environment was pleasant. We especially liked that the double-glazed windows provided good sound insulation. The lady at the front desk was also very friendly and welcoming.

The room was very clean, and the facilities were great. I could control the TV, curtains, and lights with the smart assistant, which was very convenient. The wood-grain tiles had underfloor heating, so it wasn't too cold even without air conditioning. The room lighting was a bit dim, and breakfast wasn't very good.

WWitidaWe came to Yinchuan to visit Helan Rock painting mountain an Xixia tomb so we didn't see downtown that much. The hotel is in the center of the district, near the drum tower, surrounded by stores and restaurants, easily to find everything you need. The staff of the hotel didn't speak English but they're polite and kind. On the day we checked out there's a misunderstanding: they said we had to pay them while we had already prepaid via TRIP.com. We showed them the receipt in Chinese but they couldn't find it in their system. After 15 mins they let us go. We confusedly contacted TRIP customer service and were informed clearly there's no problem at all with our payment. TRIP dealt with the hotel themselves. I wouldn't complain the hotel about this since such thing could happen but I suggest you to always keep the receipt in Chinese and contact TRIP customer service suddenly and let them deal with the hotel, especially if your train is about to leave the station :)

GGuest UserThe Chateau de Chateau de Chadolan is my favorite hotel on this trip to Ningxia! The entire hotel is surrounded by vineyards, and the Helan Mountains are majestic in the distance. It was so beautiful to watch the sunset at dinner in the restaurant👍. The room is warm and comfortable, with seats on the balcony. You can watch the stars at night and overlook the Helan Mountains in the morning. The winery brews its own wine, and the little sister takes the tour and explains, so that the little students can gain knowledge. The little housekeeper Guo Guo is thoughtful and caring, and the arrangements are very in place! Breakfast is booked in advance, there are many options, and it tastes very good. Dinner was booked with the little housekeeper one day in advance. The ingredients are fresh, taste good, and the quantity is sufficient. The dining environment is great! The nights here are very quiet. Our family sits on the balcony and enjoys this cool and comfortable night. It's so comfortable. I love this hotel👍

TTraveller70nyWellness themed hotel with spacious rooms and very helpful staff. The surroundings are really nice including the river and several parks.
A few staff spoke good English and really helped this non-mandarin speaking guest a lot, especially to call taxis. The housekeeper on my level was also very sweet and friendly and efficient. Would happily stay there again.

GGuest UserLovely hotel near Wanda Jinfeng mall, surrounded by many pharmacies. The fruit shop downstairs called 小任果 is one of the best fruit chains in Yinchuan with a huge offering of fruits and yoghurt and nuts. We bought these to bring along for our day trips out of Yinchuan. Its nice to stay at Jingfeng district as its quieter than drum tower area.
The lobby has snacks, fruit and drinks all day for guests. Coffee was super !
We used the complimentary washer dryer which is a fabulous amenity.
We appreciated the free pickup at the airport which we arranged 1 day prior by telephone booking from Shanghai. The reception and the breakfast counter staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The toiletries were all upmarket
If there is any con - its the plump cleaning lady at the 3rd floor. She appeared unhappy when we asked her to top up the bath wash when it was low and she forgot to top up. She just handed us a bottle to install ourselves. She also didnt wipe the control panel for the room unlike her colleague who does it when she is on duty so we can see our finger prints still on the glass after housekeeping.
Small issue though. Cos everything else about the hotel was great

GGuest UserOur first night was in a capsule room, which was quite spacious and comfortable for adults, and the kids really enjoyed it. For the second and third nights, we moved to a different room. Half of the curtains didn't block out light, the toilet constantly ran 24/7, and the shower would suddenly turn completely cold every three minutes or so. It was really terrible; it might just be a hardware issue with that particular room.
