JJayjeejayThe hotel is very professional, nice and clean. The staff is all attentive. The location is just a couple minutes from metro and 5 mins from hip area, Zhongshan, and in walkable distance from the famous night market. Will definitely be back when going to Taipei again.

GGuest User1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. Thank you for your attention.

GGuest UserThe hotel automatically upgraded us to a significantly more spacious room during check-in which was a nice gesture. The room was spotless and while Taiwan law does not allow hotels to proactively provide single-use toiletries, shampoo and shower gel are still provided through dispenser bottles. The hotel also has a water dispenser so guests do not have to worry about buying bottled water everyday from convenience stores. Without having to request for it, hotel staff automatically changed the pillowcase when they saw that it was soiled which showed their meticulousness when cleaning the room. In terms of location, the hotel is within a mixed-used building just outside exit Z2 of the Taipei Main Station so it was very convenient to get around and explore the city. While some reviews complained about the long waiting time for elevators, I found that it was generally acceptable. There were two elevators at the front lobby that served all levels of the building and more elevators at the back of the building serving specific levels. At this price point, the only drawback was the shower head in the toilet. Due to the small size of the shower area, you would be standing very close to the shower head. The shower head holder is non-adjustable and angled almost horizontally forward rather than downwards. This meant that when you turned on the shower, the water would be directed at your face and head and it would be difficult to direct the water at anything below the neck level. As such, most guests would have to resort to holding the shower head in their hands rather than enjoying a hands-free relaxing experience, which I guess was a small compromise to make. Overall, I enjoyed my short stay at this hotel.

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right opposite the Y13 exit. First off, you'll need to climb stairs to reach the service counter as there's no elevator. The bathroom is en-suite, and they provide lockers. As for the bed setup, there's a small space at the head for personal items, and extra room at the foot of the bed for your luggage, backpack, and other belongings, which really helps create a more private feel. They offer a simple breakfast including toast, buns, shaomai, coffee, and tea.

MMofaguguThe industrial-style decor seems to fit the vibe of Ximending's old buildings, and the vintage Western items are perfectly placed. However, I wasn't a fan of the sky lantern decorations. Breakfast was hot pot every day, and after three days, it was a bit much. I think some Western breakfast options would be good, as I noticed some Western guests seemed to find it a bit odd. This hotel is probably one of the best choices for shoppers and travelers using the MRT.

SSiva Rama 256Check in takes only 5 minutes and check out much more faster with 10 seconds with a self check out machine that will suck in your room card. Check in gets faster with your reply to the property telling them what type of room you have booked and what time you'll arrive. With booming businesses and too many bookings, the staff might get entangled in mess, so partially you reply is helping them to get grounded and avoid mistakes. The property is clean, neat, nice and next to easy transport and family mart and 7e.

AAnonymous UserThe location is pretty good, very close to Beiche/Ximen Station, and there are many convenience stores, fruit shops, and restaurants downstairs. The only drawback is that I specifically booked a room with a window, but when I opened the curtains, it was just a solid wall, LOL, I was speechless!

AAllanYongSoonTzek93I had a really enjoyable stay at MeWorld of Taipei, and overall it was a very positive experience from start to finish. The accommodation was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed, making it a comfortable place to come back to after long days exploring the city. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt welcoming and well organized, which immediately gave me peace of mind. One of the highlights for me was the convenience of the location. Getting around Taipei was easy, with public transport, food options, and convenience stores all within walking distance. This made daily planning very flexible, whether I was heading out early in the morning or returning later at night. The area felt safe and lively, yet quiet enough to rest properly. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful throughout my stay. Any questions I had were answered patiently, and communication was smooth and clear. Check‑in and check‑out were straightforward and hassle‑free, which is something I really appreciate when traveling. It’s clear that the team takes pride in keeping the place comfortable and pleasant for guests. The room itself was comfortable, tidy, and suitable for resting or working, with everything I needed for a short or longer stay. The environment was calm and relaxing, making it easy to sleep well despite being in a busy city like Taipei. I also appreciated how clean the common areas were, showing good attention to hygiene and maintenance. Overall, MeWorld of Taipei offers great value for money and is a solid choice for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and a smooth stay experience. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Taipei and would happily recommend it to friends, whether they are traveling solo, with family, or for work.

GGuest UserThis hotel is super convenient, just a 1-minute walk from Taipei Main Station's M2 exit. You can easily walk to Ningxia Night Market and Ximending in about 20 minutes, and even Dihua Street if you're up for it. Popular spots like Fuhang Soy Milk and Shuangyue Food Company are also within walking distance, so you'll have no trouble finding great food and shopping from morning till night. The guest rooms are located on the 5th to 7th floors of a multi-purpose building. While the double bed takes up most of the room, making it quite compact, there's a small indoor balcony-like space at the back. It has a compact table and chairs, perfect for eating takeout, and enough room to open your suitcase.
