KkhtravelThe hotel's interior decor is stunning, with a strong Japanese feel. The rooms are clean and spacious, featuring a private onsen and yukata. Plus, there are complimentary drinks and snacks. GGuest UserThe hotel automatically upgraded us to a significantly more spacious room during check-in which was a nice gesture. The room was spotless and while Taiwan law does not allow hotels to proactively provide single-use toiletries, shampoo and shower gel are still provided through dispenser bottles. The hotel also has a water dispenser so guests do not have to worry about buying bottled water everyday from convenience stores. Without having to request for it, hotel staff automatically changed the pillowcase when they saw that it was soiled which showed their meticulousness when cleaning the room. In terms of location, the hotel is within a mixed-used building just outside exit Z2 of the Taipei Main Station so it was very convenient to get around and explore the city. While some reviews complained about the long waiting time for elevators, I found that it was generally acceptable. There were two elevators at the front lobby that served all levels of the building and more elevators at the back of the building serving specific levels. At this price point, the only drawback was the shower head in the toilet. Due to the small size of the shower area, you would be standing very close to the shower head. The shower head holder is non-adjustable and angled almost horizontally forward rather than downwards. This meant that when you turned on the shower, the water would be directed at your face and head and it would be difficult to direct the water at anything below the neck level. As such, most guests would have to resort to holding the shower head in their hands rather than enjoying a hands-free relaxing experience, which I guess was a small compromise to make. Overall, I enjoyed my short stay at this hotel.

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right opposite the Y13 exit. First off, you'll need to climb stairs to reach the service counter as there's no elevator. The bathroom is en-suite, and they provide lockers. As for the bed setup, there's a small space at the head for personal items, and extra room at the foot of the bed for your luggage, backpack, and other belongings, which really helps create a more private feel. They offer a simple breakfast including toast, buns, shaomai, coffee, and tea.

AAnonymous UserA Fun and Funky Stay in the Heart of Taipei I had a great stay at Hotel PaPa Whale! The hotel's style is really unique and quirky, which makes it stand out from your typical business hotels. The location is absolutely fantastic. It’s just a short 7-minute walk to Ximen Station, making it super convenient to get around the city, and being right on the edge of Ximending means you're in the middle of all the action, shopping, and nightlife. Location: You really can't beat it for exploring Taipei. The Ximending pedestrian area is literally a few minutes' walk away, so you're surrounded by endless food options. Whether you're looking for a late-night snack, trendy cafes, or authentic ********* street food, you'll find it all right on your doorstep. The proximity to the MRT station is a huge plus for day trips too. Room & Atmosphere: The room was a decent size, especially for Taipei, and we had plenty of space for our luggage. The vibe is modern and playful. The most... memorable feature was definitely the large mirror on the ceiling above the bed. It certainly adds a fun, slightly ”kinky” twist to the room's atmosphere! It’s a bold design choice that fits the hotel's overall playful and unconventional personality. Bathroom: One of the highlights was the bathroom. It was impressively large, very clean, and well-appointed, with good water pressure in the shower. It felt more like a boutique hotel bathroom than a standard city hotel one. Overall: Hotel PaPa Whale is a solid 4-star experience. It combines a prime location, a clean and comfortable room with a fun twist, and a great bathroom. If you're looking for a memorable stay right in the heart of Taipei's most vibrant district, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for couples or anyone looking for something a little different.

GGuest UserThe location is very central, so it's easy to go pretty much everywhere. The room itself is nice and the bed is very comfortable, however if you have large luggage there is little space to store it. The lockers are only big enough for a backpack or perhaps a small suitcase. The bathrooms are nice and clean, however also not very spacious (at least the one for my room especially, the two for everyone in the hallway are a bit bigger). There is also a large room in the basement with a refrigerator, washing machine & dryer, and a bunch of tables, seats and couches, which is very nice.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is great, and it's also close to Taipei Main Station. If you're taking the Airport MRT, I recommend exiting from Taipei Main Station A1, Exit 5. From there, you can walk straight to the hotel, which takes about 10 minutes (including waiting for traffic lights). The nearby MRT stations are NTU Hospital Station (3-minute walk) and Taipei Main Station (7-minute walk). There are also many bus stops, making transportation very convenient. Regarding the check-in experience, the hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor, and guest rooms for this hotel occupy floors 3-5. There are only two elevators, and since the building houses other businesses, waiting for an elevator can take a while. The front desk staff were professional and efficient. Before check-in, there was about a minute-long 'rap' outlining the check-in policies. The hotel bed was comfortable, and the room and bathroom were clean. It seems to have been recently renovated, as it felt spacious and bright. Soundproofing was acceptable; I could still hear cleaning noises from outside and sounds from the adjacent room. I chose a room with a window this time, but the window couldn't be opened. Amenities provided were limited to slippers and toilet paper. The shampoo and shower gel were a 2-in-1 product, with a light, pleasant scent and no strange odors. Overall, it was a pretty good stay, even exceeding my expectations. (Attached: hotel check-in instructions, a picture before check-out, and the nearest Airport MRT exit to the hotel.)

AAllanYongSoonTzek93I had a really enjoyable stay at MeWorld of Taipei, and overall it was a very positive experience from start to finish. The accommodation was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed, making it a comfortable place to come back to after long days exploring the city. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt welcoming and well organized, which immediately gave me peace of mind. One of the highlights for me was the convenience of the location. Getting around Taipei was easy, with public transport, food options, and convenience stores all within walking distance. This made daily planning very flexible, whether I was heading out early in the morning or returning later at night. The area felt safe and lively, yet quiet enough to rest properly. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful throughout my stay. Any questions I had were answered patiently, and communication was smooth and clear. Check‑in and check‑out were straightforward and hassle‑free, which is something I really appreciate when traveling. It’s clear that the team takes pride in keeping the place comfortable and pleasant for guests. The room itself was comfortable, tidy, and suitable for resting or working, with everything I needed for a short or longer stay. The environment was calm and relaxing, making it easy to sleep well despite being in a busy city like Taipei. I also appreciated how clean the common areas were, showing good attention to hygiene and maintenance. Overall, MeWorld of Taipei offers great value for money and is a solid choice for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and a smooth stay experience. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Taipei and would happily recommend it to friends, whether they are traveling solo, with family, or for work.

GGuest UserThis hotel is super convenient, just a 1-minute walk from Taipei Main Station's M2 exit. You can easily walk to Ningxia Night Market and Ximending in about 20 minutes, and even Dihua Street if you're up for it. Popular spots like Fuhang Soy Milk and Shuangyue Food Company are also within walking distance, so you'll have no trouble finding great food and shopping from morning till night. The guest rooms are located on the 5th to 7th floors of a multi-purpose building. While the double bed takes up most of the room, making it quite compact, there's a small indoor balcony-like space at the back. It has a compact table and chairs, perfect for eating takeout, and enough room to open your suitcase.

GGuest UserThe front desk staff are helpful in general, but the cleanliness of the room still needs big improvement. I found screw on the floor, then something like ‘ash’ on the coffee table. The door, if not closed super tightly, will remain open without notice.
