I booked a king-sized bed room, and the bed was indeed huge! The room itself was a bit small but had everything I needed. The hotel staff were also very warm and welcoming, making my stay quite comfortable. Fuzhou is great, I'll definitely come back next time!

The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast offered a great variety of options. The staff at check-in were efficient and very polite. The room facilities were well-equipped, making it perfect for families traveling with children. My kids especially loved the extensive breakfast spread. Downstairs in the lobby, there's a free tea station, which is a nice touch for a casual chat over tea. The hotel's location is excellent, very convenient for visiting Yantai Mountain and Shangxiahang. It's a great choice for getting around. The lady at the front desk was incredibly patient and explained all the room facilities to me. When she heard I liked making tea, she even specially brought me some drinking water for it, which was a thoughtful touch, even though I didn't get a chance to use it in the end. The in-room guide was also very clear and easy to understand. Housekeeping always communicated their service time in advance, which was great and avoided any awkwardness. The location couldn't be better; it's convenient for getting everywhere, perfect for both leisure and business travelers. On my last night, the lady even gave me a complimentary Tiramisu cake, which was such a kind gesture. I'll definitely choose to stay here again.

This was my first time staying in a guesthouse with an ancient folk house style, and it's located right within the scenic area. Although the room was small, it had all the necessary amenities, offering a completely unique and novel experience! 😍 You can enjoy tea 🫖 in the front hall, or play chess and practice calligraphy in the back. You can also dress up in traditional costumes for photoshoots and exploring, as the cultural atmosphere is really strong. It's also very convenient to find all sorts of delicious food nearby, and it's close to Yantai Mountain, with Sanfang Qixiang not far either. Breakfast 🥣 featured local specialty dishes 😋. The only downside is that the bed 🛏️ in this particular room is against the wall, only accessible from one side, making it more suitable for single occupancy.

This was my first trip to Fuzhou, and after extensive research on accommodations, I ultimately chose the Anyin Banshan Hotel. It definitely didn't disappoint! The hotel's location is absolutely ideal, nestled halfway up Yantai Mountain. You can easily walk to soak in the artistic and historical vibe of old Fuzhou, and there are tons of small shops, restaurants, and attractions nearby. This made sightseeing incredibly efficient, and I didn't have to stress about planning routes. The hotel environment is quiet and serene; as soon as you step in, you leave the city's hustle and bustle behind. The overall design is simple yet tasteful, the courtyard views are lovely with lush greenery all around, and the air is fresh. The public areas are spotless and very inviting. My room was spacious and bright, exceptionally clean, with comfortable bedding and comprehensive facilities that were very convenient to use. The soundproofing was good, allowing for a peaceful night's rest to shake off travel fatigue. The service was thoughtful and natural; the front desk staff were warm and polite, proactively offering sightseeing tips and answering all my questions. The housekeeping team did a thorough job, even cleaning the corners meticulously. Honestly, there's absolutely nothing negative to say!

Environment: Better than expected, with a warm, Instagram-esque decor. The room has a rooftop terrace, which was very comfortable. It's only a 20-30 minute e-bike ride from the southern and northern tourist attractions.
Service: The owner was very attentive and personally picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel.
Amenities: Plenty of hot water, effective air conditioning, and the room comes with disposable bath towels, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, and face towels.

KKafeihentianEvery staff member at the hotel was incredibly kind and patient. They'd escort you to your room, help with luggage, and all visible snacks and drinks were complimentary. It was very relaxing. Getting to Sanfang Qixiang was also super convenient. The room had tea and books, and these books introduced famous figures and literati who lived in Sanfang Qixiang.
Welcome fruits and a greeting gift were delivered directly to the room.
For the Chinese bead stringing cultural experience, my child still wears the beads they strung themselves.
Besides these, you could also make your own postcards and lacquer fans.
Finally, we even received a parting gift.
Fuzhou's winter really isn't cold at all; I even saw mosquitoes!

The room was an Executive King, very spacious, and even included a hot tub with bath salts for a relaxing soak. The slippers were of good quality, not the usual disposable fabric type.
Breakfast selection was quite good for a four-star hotel, featuring hot dishes. You could even customize your own hot pot with options like beef eye, fish balls, and more. It really had a distinctive Fujian flavor.

It's also very close to the subway station, making getting around a breeze. The hotel's cleanliness is good, and the rooms aren't small, with all the necessary amenities. I hope the breakfast selection could be a bit more varied, but it's not a big deal since Fuzhou has so many great local snacks. On the last day, they kindly extended my check-out time to 2:30 PM, which was very thoughtful and perfectly aligned with my train schedule. Excellent service!

GGuest UserBooked too late, so all the hotels in the city center couldn't accommodate my booking requirements. I had no choice but to opt for Shoukia Junlan Hotel. The hotel's location is indeed a bit out of the way, but it's right by a subway station, which is convenient for those without a car. The subway goes directly to the Sanqixiang Scenic Area. Since I arrived quite late on the day of check-in, I had dinner directly at the ground floor restaurant. The hotel's Chinese food was quite good and the portions were generous. We ate until past 9 PM, and the staff were still very polite and didn't complain. Also, Auntie Zhu Yuanyuan, our room attendant on the tenth floor, was incredibly warm and polite, always ready to help with anything we needed. She promptly arranged anything we requested. Highly recommend!

AAnh-BaoThe apartment is located inside a modern high rise building (with four elevators) in the middle of what appears to be a middle class neighborhood.
The building is within walking distance (I estimate 10-15 minutes tops) of the Fuzhou-South railway station. However. When me and my friend arrived there we decided to take a cab due to heavy rain - and we got yelled at because the driver was unhappy about the destination being so close to the railway station We yelled back and the driver apologized. We later realized that it would have been smarter to order a DiDi as cab drivers have to wait in line long time to get a railway customer and it is understandable that they want a customer who wants to go to the city center. Still. He had no right to yell at us. This is what the minimum fee is for.
Anyway. It is one of those high rise buildings that is built around a huge mall. Plenty of shops, drug stores, markets, restaurants (outside the mall) are within 5 minute radius. A mall entrance is within 3 minute walking distance. Very very convenient location. Not only so. Every day after 10:00pm there is a night market down the street where you can buy all sorts of delicious snacks even grilled oysters and steak.
Me and my friend had no issue locating the apartment because upon arriving at Fuzhou-South we got in touch with the owner. The owner then befriended me on WeChat, sent us the address, pictures of the entrance, description of how to open the main apartment door and the key lockers. Piece of cake. TBH I initially did not understand how to enter the code into the electronic door lock and so the owner came to assist. She was there within minutes after we asked for help.
The apartment is basically a bedroom with huge screen, beamer, queensize bed, workplace with sink, water cooker, washing machine, dining table and a nice, big fridge. Naturally you also have your own bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. Everything was very clean and me and my friend were super happy with our choice. I initially thought that the mattress was too firm but then I slept very well on it. You have to take a cab or DiDi to the city center but its not far so it is not expensive. The A/C works very well. The view from the 18th floor is amazing.
Would I stay there again? Given the good location, hygiene and price I would absolutely stay there again.
