Hotels near Armed Forces Museum, Taipei

Decided to check in at 10pm at night due to a bad airbnb nearby. The staff was good to upgrade my room as she saw me bringing a child. The room is big and the bed is comfortable. Had a nice rest there.

We stayed at Artinn Kunming Hotel for a week during our trip to Taiwan, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. The receptionists were exceptionally friendly and approachable, always greeting us with warm smiles and making us feel genuinely welcome. They were also incredibly helpful whenever we had questions about directions, recommendations, or local attractions — going above and beyond to assist us in every way. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and very well-maintained. The room was comfortable and thoughtfully designed, with all the amenities we needed for a pleasant and relaxing stay. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and shops. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Whether you're in Taiwan for business or leisure, Artinn Kunming Hotel is a great place to stay. We’re truly grateful for the hospitality and would definitely come back again!

The location is very convenient with the Simen MRT just a short walk away. It's good if one plans to use the MRT frequently. It's easy to walk around the whole Simending area from the hotel. Did not try any food at the hotel as one is spoilt for choice in terms of food from the Ximending area. The air-conditioner was not working properly from the first day, as it was very warm and couldn't be adjusted. Called for someone to take a look and was told they would come immediately. Waited but no one came. Called again and was told they would come by later. We were going out and they reassured us that their service staff would come by accompanied by another staff. Shortly after the call, the service staff arrived, unaccompanied. It was just as well we had not left. The room is big but the design has not been well thought out. The sink is located outside the bathroom. Its design (low sink) and mirror behind means, when one uses it to wash face etc water is splashed around and the floor gets wet. However, the hotel does not provide any more towels other than those given so one has to move the floor towel(mat) between the bathroom and the sink outside. The lighting system is also not very convenient. We had 2 double beds but there was no way to control the lighting so that if one party wanted to sleep, the other party could read. The TV system (with the box hidden behind the TV itself) frequently had signal issues. It was common to be unable to change the channel or the signage No signal would appear frequently either early in the morning or late at night. We also had a bathroom where the floor just in front of the WC had a slight damage in the form of a black patch which however looked very unsightly. It would have been good if the hotel had done something to make it look better as it left a poor impression. We had requested for a quiet room. Unfortunately, almost every night/morning there were people talking loudly or kids shouting. Overall, if one does not plan to spend time in the bathroom, it would be a good choice just for the location and convenience.

The hotel is nice and has a basement common area equipped with a projector, dining table, sofa, and many amenities for travelers to relax. It’s a great space for solo travelers who want to rest or meet other travelers. There are kitchen utensils available for simple cooking, and a water filter is also provided. The room is suitable for couples who mainly stay at the hotel at night while spending the daytime exploring Taipei. The staff are friendly, and the hotel is conveniently located near Taipei Underground Street and the Taoyuan Airport MRT.

The location and service are great. It was already quite comfortable to get a single room at the end of the year. However, the rooms are almost completely soundproof, and many Southeast Asian guests were very noisy, playing loud music and chatting loudly after midnight and starting again at 5 AM (even in the hallways). I could even hear the intimate activities from the next room clearly, which was a bit speechless. I hope guest behavior can be regulated a bit.

We arrived late at night, and while it took us a moment to locate the hotel, it was quite easy to find. It's conveniently located: just exit Ximen Station (Exit 1), walk straight past Starbucks, and you'll spot it. The area boasts plenty of fantastic restaurants, which is a big plus. Our room was spotlessly clean and in great condition. The only drawback was the strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway, despite our room being non-smoking. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was quite decent. Overall, it's a great hotel with excellent value for money and a very convenient location.

A very high-cost independent travel option. There is a convenience store and a post office directly opposite the hotel (buy stamps and send postcards). It is only a few minutes away from the MRT exit and Ximending business district. Even if there is a typhoon holiday during the trip, you will not be completely exhausted. Shopping with stuff.

The location is pretty good, very close to Beiche/Ximen Station, and there are many convenience stores, fruit shops, and restaurants downstairs. The only drawback is that I specifically booked a room with a window, but when I opened the curtains, it was just a solid wall, LOL, I was speechless!

Many times travelling to Taipei and staying at B6 Ximen ! Great hotel. Not to big, no need to wait for elevator! Bed very comfy! Shower is nice good warm pressure! Great cleaning staff.  They even give you some drinks in the fridge.   Lots in the surroundings too! 7-11 right next door!

The location is really convenient, about 5 minutes walk to the metro station with a night market right downstairs. Can get a little crowded to walk past during the night market opening hours. One thing about my room was that it kind of had a smell to it. When I poured hot water down the bathtub drain, I saw a fly came up so…. Other than that the amenities are still okay. Laundry room is open 6am to 10pm. Receptionist was nice enough to extend a little for me when I asked if there was any nearby as I was cutting close. Also to request for late check out, it cost 300 NTD per hour.
