"It must have been destiny! Here's the gist: I initially planned to stay just one night and then move on, as my business clients are scattered all over the place 😊. But now I've extended my stay for four more days because I simply can't leave! Honestly, after traveling through nearly 10 African countries, this Chinese-run hotel is the only one I've been truly satisfied with. The price is reasonable, they offer airport pick-up and drop-off, but what really sealed the deal is the food – breakfast, lunch, and dinner are absolutely amazing and so nourishing! Every meal is different, with at least 8 delicious and appetizing dishes 😍. Don't compare it to China; this is just a recommendation for Chinese travelers visiting Lagos, Nigeria. To be honest, I truly hope our future trips will lead us to similar Chinese hotels. The general manager is hands-on, attentive, and incredibly accommodating, and the head chef, a friendly young man from Dalian, is so welcoming and hospitable. In short, the setup gets full marks, and the quality of service also gets full marks from me – you can decide for yourselves! Check out the pictures! "Breakfast was served for one person only despite that my booking clearly stated for two. I tried to negotiate this with them but they refused blatantly. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay."

"I was seeking accommodation in Lagos, traveling from London, for a two-night stay. The hotel proved challenging to locate due to an imprecise address provided on their website. Upon arrival, I encountered a front desk attendant who did not speak English, necessitating the use of a translation application for communication. My assigned room was well-maintained; however, it lacked television channel subscriptions. Furthermore, the absence of an in-room intercom system meant that any service requests required a two-floor descent to the reception area. It became apparent that the hotel's primary clientele likely consists of Chinese or Asian visitors to Nigeria, suggesting a potential oversight in catering to a broader international guest base. On a positive note, the hotel offered complimentary Wi-Fi, a swimming pool, and a lounge area. The check-out process was exceptional, as the hotel arranged for a driver and vehicle to transport me to the airport, a service I rate highly. Despite the somewhat elevated pricing, I would consider utilizing this hotel again. The hotel is situated within a tranquil residential estate, offering a peaceful environment free from noise, though also lacking in ambient music. I recommend that management consider implementing television viewing options, employing a local staff member proficient in English, and diversifying their menu to include local cuisine."

"The hotel is located in GRA, which I'd consider the safest area in Ikeja. It's very convenient for transportation, and there are a lot of Chinese people around. The rooms are new and very clean, and the AC works great. You can even do your laundry for free. The owner is super nice and even gave us a free room upgrade. The hotel includes three meals a day, and the food is quite good. The proprietress also makes amazing milk tea!"

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the Chinese-speaking receptionist made check-in very smooth and pleasant. I heard the owner has been here for over ten years and is quite well-known locally, so I didn't have to worry about safety at all. I felt very safe and secure during my stay!"

"I came to Nigeria for a business trip, and choosing Shu Garden Hotel was such a great decision! The pool water was crystal clear, and it even had a treadmill next to it – a dream come true for fitness enthusiasts. You can combine cardio and relaxation without having to specifically look for a gym. The security was also incredibly reassuring; there's strict registration for entry and exit, so I felt completely safe strolling around the grounds at night. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were warm and attentive, with every detail taken care of. Next time I'm in Nigeria, I'm definitely staying here again! They also have KTV rooms and such, which are perfect for business entertaining. Plus, it's right next to a bay – I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel in my home country that offers such a unique location."
