Kagoshima Washington Hotel Plaza
"The location was excellent — close to shopping areas, convenience stores and with Donki just steps away. Paid parking was conveniently located behind the hotel and we were initially given a room with a lovely view. Unfortunately on the first night, the guests staying above us were stomping the floor loudly in the middle of the night which disrupted our sleep. My partner went down to inform the receptionist because they couldn't understand on the phone *Limited English* but instead of moving us to a new room straight away, we were asked to monitor the situation first. He had to return to reception a second time before we were finally given keys to another room midnight. The second room was unfortunately on lower floor and too warm and we didn’t sleep very well that night either. We informed the receptionist the next morning and they adjusted the temperature for us afterward. We stayed for 3 days in total and aside from the hiccup on the first night, it was still an overall pleasant 2-night stay with a great location and convenient facilities."
Quintessa Hotel Kagoshima Tenmonkan Relax&Sleep
"Very good location. Easy check-in and check-out. I think I will come back again if I have to stay in Kagoshima."
HOTEL MYSTAYS Kagoshima Tenmonkan
"Very nice stay in this hotel. The room was small but well organized and clean. I recommend"
HOTEL MYSTAYS Kagoshima Tenmonkan Annex
"My room was spotlessly clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom had great water pressure. The location is a major plus – it's just a short walk from the heart of busy district. Highly recommend for both business and leisure travelers looking for a reliable and comfortable stay."
Hotel Hokke Club Kagoshima
"Quick check-in. The breakfast is really amazing, with pretty many if options! You will not imagine this good proce stays with semi-natural onsen."
fav KAGOSHIMA CHUO
"The room was very spacious and clean. The kids had fun running up and down. Got everything needed in the room from electronic stove to washing machine. The mattress and pillows were the best! We had great sleep and got recharged perfectly!"
Richmond Hotel Kagoshima Tenmonkan
Ideally situated in the heart of Tenmonkan. This hotel offers a seamless blend of modern comfort and effortless access to city dining.
HOTEL LiVEMAX BUDGET Kagoshima
"Rooms were more spacious than expected, there are 4 dryers AND washers available EACH which is a big bonus. Central Walking street is around 10min by foot"
Rainbow Sakurajima
"Interesting Japanese onsen experience. For western travellers is a nice way to get insight in traditional onsen culture. Food was so interesting at the restaurant downstairs. Recommend for anyone wanting onsen bath experience, peaceful stay by the water, great views. Really enjoyed cycling around the island using the hotel bikes."
Gracias
"The big plus for the apartment is the view of the volcano across the bay. It’s a short tram ride from the train station and an easy walk to the ferry across to Sakurajima. The owner doesn’t speak English, but it is very easy and quick to communicate via her daughter. The accommodation itself is well equipped - good to have a washing machine - but it is all very basic. For the price, we were happy with our stay."
Silk Inn Kagoshima
Featuring soothing natural hot springs and comfortable rooms, it’s the perfect place to unwind after exploring.
Onsen Hotel Nakahara Bessou Nonsmoking, Earthquake Retrofit
Enjoy peace of mind and traditional relaxation. Featuring soothing thermal baths and updated facilities, it’s a tranquil, secure base for your stay.
Hotel Welview Kagoshima
"Very good hotel and we got a good deal to stay. The male staff from front desk explained to us on all the nitty gritty, in a typical Japanese polite way. Onsen is at 4 floors and it is typical Japanese Onsen. There are washing and drying facilities on the 4th floor which is budget friendly, where we wash our laundry. The hotel however is away from the town center which might be inconvenient for some travellers that wan to walk around."
Sakurajima Seaside Hotel
"It's located 10-15 minutes by car from the pier. Knowing the bus schedule in advance makes it a great place to rest after your trip. It's a quiet and relaxing place. The hotel owner is incredibly friendly and kind. And the electric bike rentals are 6,000 won per hour, which is cheaper than the pier itself. For those who want to hike, it's a good idea to arrive at Sakurajima Island early, take a bus, and then rent a bike to explore the area. The onsen is older than I expected, so it's just okay, but the sulfur smell is overwhelming. The atmosphere is nice. Overall, it's a great place to relax and unwind! There's nothing nearby, so if you need anything, be sure to pick it up at the convenience stores near the pier."
