As soon as you enter, the architecture is strikes you. Its traditional classy Chinese, but homey. The courtyard is gorgeous with a beautiful pomegrante tree to one side, and a fish pind to the other. You can chill out at some guest tables or swing benches while you wait or plan for your day. The rooms are clean and well done. Also Chinese, but modernized. The doors are locked with an old style lock and key which gives it a unqiue old timey feel. The bathrooms are particularly well done with modern western toilets (with bidets if you're into that), and large showers. Id recommend trying the complimentary tea. Ours smelled of chocolate, but had a mild taste. The service is excellent, especially if you speak Chinese, though if not theyre still very friendly. The owner helped us out with a misunderstanding with a local restaurant, and even gave us a free bottle of his local liquor to try. The breakfast is quite good, if you like Chinese style of breakfasts. Youtiao, buckwheat pancakes, hard boiled or fried eggs, and very good local rice noodle soup. The location is very convenient as we drove there and its right off a main road. They also have parking if you check and ask. A unique and luxurious experience without breaking the bank. I will definitley come back as I really liked the small tourist village feel of shaxi, and this homestay was excellent.

We loved staying at this place. It's a peaceful courtyard hotel a 10 minute walk away from the main square. The room was enormous and very comfortable. The breakfast offered by the hotel was great. The owners helped us organise a transfer to Dali after our stay. We wished we could have stayed longer.

We enjoyed our stay at this homestay. The host was very attentive, the homestay was clean and quiet, located within walking distance from the old town. We loved the different type of breakfasts prepared by the host each morning specially the fresh milk and the noodle soup. Will be returning to this location when we are visiting the area and we definitely recommend this homestay to others.

Thanks to the boss for his warm service. The breakfast was delicious, with freshly squeezed milk, runny poached eggs, and crispy fried dough sticks. The rich breakfast was especially great. The room was clean, sanitary and spacious, and the Shaxi Ancient Town was beautiful.

It was particularly cold these days, so the boss turned on the floor heating early and the breakfast was also very thoughtful and delicious.

I came to Shaxi on a spontaneous trip, and Guixinju gave me the feeling of home. The design here is thoughtful, the environment is beautiful, and there is a special tea room. I felt full of happiness when I did nothing in the afternoon and sat in the yard to bask in the sun. The room is fully equipped and the bedding is clean and comfortable. The boss and his wife are very warm and thoughtful. They prepare delicious breakfast every day, introduce the tour route, and help contact the transportation for travel. Many guests in the small courtyard are repeat customers. I will come here again next time, and I hope the boss's business will be prosperous!

The B&B is near the ancient town, not far to walk, and you can park. The rice noodles for breakfast are delicious. The owner is very enthusiastic and took the initiative to introduce the food and entertainment in the ancient town. It was a very satisfying stay.

The location of the B&B is very good. Cars coming from Dali and Jianchuan will pass by the road next to it. We missed the location, and the owner went to the station to pick us up. There are welcome fruits and delicious breakfasts. It is also very convenient to go to the ancient town (the town is very small). There is a beautiful yard, and the owner also gave us pomegranates grown in the yard. The hygiene is also very good.

This is the most satisfying accommodation for this trip. I highly recommend this homestay to friends who come to Shaxi. Although it is not located in the center of the ancient town, it is not far from Sideng Street, and it is close to the county road, so parking is very convenient. There is a rice field and a mountain outside the window, and even the first floor has this view. The house is antique and fragrant as soon as you enter. The room is very comfortable. It is actually a smart home and is equipped with direct drinking water. Finally, the boss is very nice, warm and thoughtful. The breakfast is very rich and I ate delicious rice noodles, which is really great.

The service is very good and the boss is very nice. We took beautiful photos of the starry sky in the yard and drank Matsutake wine. The boss lady also made us a delicious breakfast in the morning. We will stay here again when we come to Shaxi.
