Stayed 2N. The property is locate next to the Dogo Onsen (Japan's oldest onsen) which is undergoing renovations. The hotel is equally old and is designed in a very elegant way. I was assigned a low floor room with a partial view of an ornate stage. I opted for the traditional Japanese room which was very large. The floor was tatami and the futon bed would be setup by the houskeepers in the evening and packed away in the morning. The room came with 4 sizes of yukata for you to choose. The yukata can be worn within the property and even for a walk into town. The room was well appointed and clean . The toilet had a bath and squat shower, and WC in a separate closet. The bed was very comfy. Wifi signal was strong. The AC was on the warm side, but fortunately, I could open the windows to let in fresh air. The highlight was the onsen with indoor and outdoor pools. Located next to the onsen entrance was self-service **free** sake and some sweets for children. Breakfast was served in a banquet hall and with an incredibly large array of choices. All the staff we met were hospitable. Will return.

Anyway, it is a convenient location. It is saved because transportation is in front of you wherever you go. Especially, the limousine bus to the airport departs from the front of you, so it is good to have your luggage at the hotel until the last minute and act. The hotel is beautiful and there is a large communal bath so you can get rid of your tiredness. Breakfast is also delicious, and I especially like licking every time I go. The service of the front desk also listened to this hope. I thought it was a service that didn't overdo it and the lessons from the corona disaster were alive. It is a hotel that I want to use when I go to Matsuyama again.

First Shikoku, first Dogo Onsen. The word of mouth has become very late. We stayed at 2023.1.17 1. Stayed in haiku suite. Since it was an early morning flight, I arrived quite early than check-in, so I stopped by the hotel to leave my luggage. A veteran man guided me to the front desk immediately. However, while disappointed by the expressionless and cold response of the young woman at the front desk, it was because of this that I arrived too early, so I asked her to leave her luggage and go sightseeing. And check in. It is not possible that the door of the cleaning tool box right next to the entrance of the room called haiku suite remained empty. (This place remains open all the time during my stay.) The room was clean and of course large, but I think the back of the amenities and the dusty details were not well cleaned. Dinner is at the restaurant. I stayed in a large room, so is it like this when considering the accommodation fee? It was delicious with elegant seasoning, but I have the impression that there were many similar seasonings. I chose Western food for breakfast. It was good to have an extraordinary feeling with the silver lid and an omelet on the white tablecloth. It was a private room-style seat, but there were two tables, the distance from the neighbor was close, and it was too quiet to hear the conversation, so I was uncomfortable. This might have been quite relaxing with room service. The man of the staff who guided me to the room on arrival checked out and told me what I casually asked. I was impatient, so I forgot completely, so I thought I could tell you by extension, etc., but it was probably the hospitality of the person who was not in the manual. I'm sorry that there is no hot water in the bath. Somehow, I wondered if it would be a good inn if I became a regular, but I won't visit again.

We stayed for 2 nights in Standard Twin. It was a parking view, but it was very clean, including the bathroom, although it was not large, and the USB port on the bedside was convenient for charging the smartphone. Also, the amenities dripping coffee and empty refrigerator were good. The room had slippers and snow dags, and I liked the beach sandals, and I was comfortable with snow dags that were not resistant to walking outside. The public bath on the top floor was healed with a clean open-air bath with a good view. I went to 6:00 for two days from 6:00 in the morning, but I think it was good to open a little earlier because it was quite crowded. Breakfast was the same for two days, but there were so many original options that I never got tired. Uwajima slices, tofu and French toast were especially delicious and I ate too much every morning. Access from the city is good and if you have the opportunity to stay at Dogo Onsen, I would like to choose it next time.

The hotel is in a very good location. You can take the tram to the main street and walk two intersections along the commercial street. It is also very close to the Matsuyama Castle Cable Car Station. There are many delicious restaurants nearby, such as Tai Fish Rice. I have always liked the large bath at Dormyinn Hot Spring Hotel and the free supper every night. I take a bath on the rooftop and have a popsicle every night. It is very comfortable. In addition, there is a free foot bath at the door of this store~

I applied for a plan with half board for two days and one night. The exterior looks old, but the interior has a modern and bright impression, including a restaurant. Many of the front desks were veterans and kind, and many of them were young like students because the restaurant was busy, but I had a good feeling including the first 々 feeling. The main dinner seemed to have been wrong with the advance request information, but it was helpful to respond immediately. I thought it would be nice to have a change in the contents of the buffet at dinner and the buffet at breakfast (shell pasta and pumpkin gratin that I only saw at the night buffet, etc. persistently It was a sloppy taste that wasn't too much.) Close to the shopping street and Dogo Onsen main building, I made a reservation for accommodation by seeing the word of mouth, but the parking fee was 800 yen / day, but it was a hotel that I could have a pleasant stay and wanted to repeat.

The size of the room is really big. It’s really big in the hotel room in Japan. The hot springs on the 1st floor are very spacious and very comfortable, all with massage water flow. I especially like the colder springs of 35 degrees, which can be soaked for a long time. And although the overall facilities are not very new, they look very clean, not bad. Downstairs is Rosen, and it is always open, very convenient, and the experience is very good.

Great location. Easy walk to Matsuyma Castle. Right next door to Okaido shopping gallery with restaurants, convenience stores etc. Chose this hotel because of photos of the Skyspa - on top floor of hotel, indoor & outdoor. Especially great at night sitting in the outdoor spa looking at the city lights. Friendly staff, helpful. Beautiful, modern hotel. Easily accessible by tram from JR Matsuyama heading for Dogo Onsen. And as with many places in Japan where little Englsih is spoken - please be patient and polite
Whilst being in the center of the Dogo Onsen, one of the most traditional hot springs resorts in Japan, this hotel features a sophisticated interior, and is designed specifically for adults to enjoy a holiday getaway. All guest rooms feature a private open-air bath with hot springs water drawn straight from the source.

We loved almost everything about Bettei Oborozukiyo. It has a classic Japanese aesthetic, but is actually quite new, modern, stylish and fresh (it was established in 2015.) It's also small, private and quaint - it consists of only 19 rooms, which is a big departure from many of the mega hotels that litter the Dogo Onsen landscape. And it's only a short walking distance away from the main tourist sites in the area. All in all, we couldn't have asked for much more than what Bettei Oborozukiyo offered. We booked a ”G-Type Special Room with Open-Air Bath” (Room #307, ”Oborozuki” to be specific), the highest room category at the property. It's a nicely laid out and tastefully furnished and decorated suite room that features not one but two open-air, free-flowing Onsen (hot springs) baths. One is small bath (large enough for only one person) and is completely open air, while the second Onsen is much larger, and can be either fully enclosed or open-air, depending on whether you open all of the sliding glass windows. You really get the best of both worlds here. We had the smaller Onsen set to a hotter temperature and used it to quickly warm up our bodies, while the larger Onsen was set to a slightly lower temperature - allowing us to spend a longer amount of time enjoying the bath. It was pure bliss. It's worth noting that every single room at Bettei Oborozukiyo has at least one open-air Onsen bath, which is a real luxury and probably the main reason people would visit Dogo Onsen in the first place. And the Onsen hot springs water comes from the same source as the one used by the famous Dogo Onsen Honkan public bath house, so you know that it's going to be a special experience. A few other advantages of our room - it featured two separate toilets (Mrs. KI-NRT loves separate toilets!), and a bedroom that is completely separated from the main living area, which allowed her to take a peaceful nap while I was conducting a video conference with business partners. Meals for all guests are served in private dining rooms, which was nice (although if we were to nitpick, we prefer to be served in our the actual room that we're staying in.) And the Kaiseki meal was delicious and beautifully presented. While it was not the best meal we've ever had, all of the ingredients were locally-sourced and super fresh, especially the awesome seafood that was offered (including sashimi-style.) And the Iyo Beef Sirloin ”Shabu Shabu” hot pot was a great way to enjoy the local meat delicacy. Both dinner and breakfast were served by Riyo Miyauchi, a charming, engaging and enthusiastic young lady who was born and raised in the area, prompting us to ask many questions about the region and learning a great deal about Ehime as a result (especially the food.) Given that Japan was in the middle of a big pandemic wave, it was great to be able to enjoy top quality Onsen in the comfort of our room, without having to result to the communal bath at Bettei Oborozukiyo, or at Dogo Onsen Ho

Yukai resort dogo ayachoraku is a hot spring hotel located in dogo himezuka, Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture. On April 15, 2022, I took a seapaseo and came from Kure to Matsuyama sightseeing port, where I drove through the former Baishinji Temple. There is a beach, and it is a generational memorable place as a location for the drama ”Tokyo Love Story”. Passing in front of the hatagoya where I stayed at that time. I came to the hot spring town of Dogo Onsen. The hotel for purpose is located in the back of the hot spring town. Arrived at the Yukai resort dogo Aya choraku to stay on this day. The parking lot is in the back of the building and is very large. The building seems to be quite old. Although it is a hotel in Dogo Onsen, the bath is said to bring hot water of dunkawa Onsen. The interior feels like this. First check in at the front desk. This day is room 414 on the 4th floor. This day is a grandmother who was smoothly locked. It seems that it is a hot water resort that has already been futoned in a Japanese room. 10 tatami mats, TV and cupboard. The condominium opposite from the window is well seen (smiling) refrigerator and safe. I don't use it because I go to the washbasin and the public bath, but there is also a bathtub. The toilet is a hot water toilet seat. There is wifi, but the speed is not good. I went to the public bath immediately. Although it is a hotel of Dogo Onsen, the bath is hot water of dunkawa Onsen. But dunkawa Onsen is my favorite hot spring and I like it and repeat it. However, the hot water here felt like there was little null feeling. Many discounts were used by grandmothers, and they were staying at a low price of about 9,000 yen for two people with two meals per night. The Yukai resort was mostly a hotel without wifi, but there was only one here. This time was already heavy (sweat;) The dinner venue was a restaurant on the first floor. It was a free seat in the form of a Viking. I feel like this. The next day, breakfast was also a buffet at the same restaurant. I tried to take it in soba main. Granny feels like this. I checked out the second time (laughs) and went ahead by car. Yukai Resort Dogo Aya choraku 112 Dogo himezuka, Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture 1 0570-550-078

CConnector17872721990The hotel and rooms were very comfortable and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful so feel a little guilty giving it only four stars but I did because we have stayed in other hotels which were a little more personable whereas this was a little commercial so not perfect for the holiday traveller. Next door there is an excellent French /Japanese restaurant I would strongly recommend. Please do not be put of by my review. The hotel is well located and you will have a very comfortable stay.
GGuest UserBefore you go: it is good to speak some Japanese. I tried to book it directly with the ryokan so I could choose a menu plan but the English version of the website was not showing available dates and the Japanese version was not allowing to enter a non-Japanese phone number. I emailed them (in Japanese) and was able to get a reservation with the meal plan of my choice (breakfast and dinner and some special side dishes). We stayed at what I think is called superior Japanese room. It was very spacious. Besides the onsen on the first floor, the room itself has a large ofuro. Meals were served in our room. I liked this for breakfast but missed seeing people around dinner time. The onsen dowstairs has two large baths, one is closed and the other is open with rocks and vegetation around. A glass window separates them. After the onsen, there is self-service beer and/or ice-cream. The food was amazing! But I think I went overboard in ordering the special sea bream sashimi. We stayed two days there, relaxing at the onsen after climbing the Matsuyama castle ramp/steps or after cycling the Shimanamikaido in Imabari (about 40 minutes from Matsuyama) felt like heaven. The staff was extremely warmth and professional. In this place you will see the true Japanese hospitality ”omotenashi”.
GGuest UserI hate Mammoth Hotels, but there were so few other people here that I couldn't believe they were accommodating a large number of people, and even when I ate in the private room, I hardly met anyone. What is especially noteworthy is the carefully designed tea room. The quality is so high that you can't believe it's inside a concrete building, and when you ask about it, you'll be convinced that it was made by a craftsman from Kyoto who stayed there for a long time. The inside of the hotel was decorated with Ohara-style decorations, giving it the feel of a high-class inn. However, it's a bit old so it's not shiny, but I was able to really feel the hospitality of the employees. This ryokan changed the impression that it was too big to handle. I will visit again.
GGuest UserArrived by car, the staff will guide the parking lot carefully immediately and guide you back. Check in When you go to the accommodation floor by elevator, wait for the staff in front of the elevator. There is a service to choose yukata. When you enter the room, dining, living room, bedroom, open-air bath. Good image! I think women like the bed is fufufufu and the best! The bath went there because I liked the public bath The bath was defeated by the facility where the bath was sold, but it was usually good. It seems that women are disgusted to go to the bath by going through the front desk here. The amenities were SDGs countermeasures 24 〜 5 o'clock, the entrance is locked. But if you stay here, there is no problem because you will relax in the room. Dinner is a course, balance is good, 70% full, this is the best! Drinks are sake, beer is good, wine is not enough, and specifically, if there is no good thing, not a cheap wine sold at a restaurant, it is said to be for the accommodation. Food just good balance The chef knows the amount to satisfy the body, great! There is a problem with taste, so no comment The staff who took charge of me was full 💯 all made me feel good 7 or 8 minutes walk to Dogo station, so there is no problem with Petit sightseeing. Dogo beer head office, It was a good inn to drink only beer that you could drink there at the branch.
GGuest UserIt is the second time in ten years. There were some old buildings, but the public bath was clean and large, and various types of shampoo were prepared and valuable. I used a room with an open-air bath, but it was just a good size alone. The large bath and the room bath were relaxed with just a good hot water. The amount of dinner was also the amount of a couple, and the breakfast buffet was rich in variety, and the venue was large and slow. I used alcohol free service in the lounge on the upper floor, but I thought it would be nice to have a little more variety. The young staff 々 was also very good impression with Hakihaki. Thank you.
GGuest UserIt is the second time to visit Dogo Onsen for the first time in several years, but the last time I failed to choose a hotel and left a bad impression on Dogo Onsen itself. This time, I examined various things on the net to dispel the failure, and concluded that the hotel for the birthday celebration trip was not except for the tsurukan, and I stayed for a long time, and it was correct to choose tsurukan. I was very satisfied with all of the rooms, hot springs, meals, infection measures, hospitality, etc. I can't say to the staff, ”it will be hard in the corona pass, but please do your best.”
TTungTungChrisThis hotel is a hot spring after the road, but it is not worth living. The air-conditioning is not frozen enough. The transfer room is useless. Finally, the hotel has turned on the fan. I have nothing to say. It is super hot. Thank you hotel staff for helping me deal with the problem quickly. The advantages are close to the attractions and you can walk the street. The hotel has no breakfast and the room is fine. There is no Wi-Fi in the room, the lobby has it, and it will be closed at 11 pm. The bath is not big, Many rooms have toilets and equipment.
GGuest UserWhen you arrive at the hotel, you leave the car key and have your luggage carried to the front desk, and when the reception is over, you will be guided to the room. Elevators, corridors and rooms from the entrance surrounded by antiques. The calm space was good. I'm impressed by the response of good staff who don't match the reasonable price 〜 Asuka no Yu immediately after arriving at the main building, the hotel hot spring at night, and the Tsubaki no Yu in the morning. I ate dinner near Asuka no Yu, breakfast at the hotel, and it was delicious to choose Western and Japanese food. After checking out, I ate Matsuyama Meshi, Uwajima Meshi and tart and went home. It was a hotel that felt more than the price. What I was worried about was the sound of the water in the toilet in the room. It's a pity that the ventilation fan in the large communal bath was making a strange noise and I couldn't enter slowly.
AAnonymous UserAttention Henro sama! Perfect stay almost across street from T49. I had walked that day from T46. Onsen use included with hotel stay. Onsen water hot and alkaline slimy, my legs feel so much better after an evening and a morning soak. Breakfast was of wide selection, very satisfying. Stand up shower stall a bonus! Drip coffee machine in room also a nice touch. Very smart, modern hotel.
AAmyAmy115I felt like a Showa retro, a guest house without waste. Only the joint toilet breakfast is a little high for 1 10,000 yen per person per night? I thought, but there was no other empty in the center of Dogo Onsen under the same conditions at the same time. It is a convenient location for walking and going to other attractions. The room we stayed in was a very artistic room with a splendid peacock painting on the whole cheek. Breakfast was simple but delicious and all the families changed.
