GGuest UserLocation is a short walk from Dogo onsen station. The experience was amazing, rooms were huge and I was surprised to have a staff member show us around the room and explain the amenities available. The amount of hospitality is above and beyond any we've experienced at other places and ryokans. They also have a very beautiful outdoor garden, onsen and geta (traditional Japanese wooden shoes) and yukata to wear around the premises.

PPoon Teck-SeongStaying in Comfort Hotel Matsuyama was one of the best experiences I had for my trip in Shikoku. Here are what I like about it: 1. Spacious room and new facilities (the hotel smells good as well haha) 2. Excellent location with nearby tram & train stations and 7-11 stores. 3. Great breakfast & friendly staffs. I will definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Matsuyama.

GGuest UserWe wanted to experience Dogo Onsen and this was a great choice (albeit expensive because it was a holiday weekend). The hotel is lovely and the service is beyond excellent. The staff was super kind as we are English speakers. Plus, we really enjoyed the hotels onsens better than the ones in town (the Dogo Onsen is being renovated and only one room was open for each gender; the same was the case with the Annex). The hotels onsens were lovely and the private outdoor onsen was a really lovely experience. We also took advantage of their convenient bus service into town although it’s only a 10 minute walk and we walked multiple times. Highly recommend!

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is not close to Dogo Onsen street and you will need to drive or get a taxi if you want to go there. There are no restaurants or shops nearby the hotel. There is a walk nearby the hotel you can take which offers nice scenery in the woods. The hotel looks a bit dated particularly the bedrooms and the corridors. I asked for a quiet room facing the mountain instead of one facing a busy road and had to pay an additional 2200 yen. The hotel has a number of onsens and I like the outdoor ones best. The buffet dinner and breakfast offer good selection and I particularly like the dinner which offered nice teppanyaki beef and sushi. The hotel reception staff spoke very little English and the hotel did not reply to an email I sent them asking for transportation information to get to the hotel. There are buses near the hotel which go to Matsuyama and Imabari but they run infrequently.

RR423It was nice that the inside of the building had a white-based atmosphere and was clean. At check-in, I was recommended to take a ticket for a nearby hot spring facility, but I decided to use the bath in the room. The bathtub was deep and the bathroom itself was able to relax with a size that could not be considered in other hotels. The room was also large and comfortable! The wind was strong when checking out, so the front desk was worried about the wind and the response was nice

十十一一十This is a hotel located near Dogo Onsen. The rooms are Japanese-style and quite large. It is very convenient for taking a bath in Dogo Onsen, and it is also very close for enjoying the Dogo scenery in the evening.

GGuest UserI was there at Jan 2024, and only stayed there for 2 days. The staff there can speak English, and were nice. The second day I stayed there, the staff offered me to have hotpot with all the other people living in Fujiya, an unforgettable experience I treasured and will forever remembered. Even though it is a proxy of a Japanese family, it did feel like I have experienced the Japanese hospitality and friendliness. There were some interesting characters, who may or may not frequented Fujiya, whom I had the pleasure to have this hotpot together. The facilities are not the best, but the basics necessities were there and no complaining from me, they have an AC there, comfortable enough for me. The staff did explain that there is only one shower, so we might have to wait for the person to finish. However, since the location is so close to Dogo Onsen, they did recommend to go there instead, and after all, it was why i chose this location in the first place. Location is really close to the Dogo Onsen and the Yuzuki-Castle ruin, which was a lifesaver for me I would say that all other sight-seeing locations are within walking distance as well since I did walk to all those interesting places. However, I do realize not all people like to walk like I do. To counter that, Fujiya is practically next to the tram station, which you can use it to go to many places in the city. tldr, would recommend

GGuest UserA pleasant hotel right next to the train station. Although all rooms were booked, it was very quiet. Breakfast offered a choice of two dishes, both really delicious and regional. The room had everything you needed for a comfortable stay.

GGuest UserOutstanding location, easy walking distance to the JR train station, so your access out for island day trips like Kashima or Gogoshima is easily sorted. Of course it's also close to Matsuyama Castle, the nearby park, and to other public transport. The hotel is very clean, the staff is very friendly. No native English speakers, but they were good enough at communication that check in and check out were completely without issue. The bath robes in the room were a nice touch.
