This hotel is very conveniently located. It's within walking distance of the ropeway to Matsuyama Castle and very close to trams going in both directions around the city center. My wife and I would definitely stay here again; it's less congested than the Dogo Onsen area. The staff are all very kind. The bed was very comfortable.

Very close to the main street (8 minutes walk), the room is big and the breakfast is good, clean and tidy. The only drawback is that there is a turbine-like sound (I don't know where it comes from? Maybe there is a machine near the room?) I will be scared by this sound in the dead of night🤣, so I don't turn off the lights when I go to bed at night😖⋯⋯Apart from this, there is nothing to complain about, everything is good

This hotel is definitely worth recommending. 1. The hotel service is very good and very thoughtful. 2. The hotel is in a great location, and there is an elevator in the hotel that goes directly to Dogo Onsen. 3. Be sure to stay in the balcony room on the 7th floor, the view is great. 4. The hotel facilities are very good, beyond five stars. The hair dryer is of high quality and very easy to use. 5. The breakfast is very exquisite and delicious. 6. I definitely recommend going to the hot spring on the 8th floor of the hotel. The hotel's hot spring is far better than the ones outside, and there is no need to go to Dogo Onsen Honkan. 7. The piano concert in the evening is good.

Location is great, we pay ¥1000 per night for car park which is convenient! The hotel saves us a fixed parking lot for us to go and go back easily. Hotel staff is nice and speaks fluent English. Room is clean and very comfortable on the mattress and pillows. Will definitely stay in this hotel next time when I re-visit Matsuyama.

I always use this hotel when I come to Matsuyama with my wheelchair-bound mother to visit my son. We are traveling from Tokushima to Matsuyama. My son's birthday is on March 22nd, so it's a little early, but this time I stayed overnight with my husband. The staff were very attentive and kind, and the hotel was very relaxing and I felt like a celebrity. We are also advertising the hotel in Tokushima, so please take care of yourself and do your best. I will come again with my mother. Thank you very much 😊 I am grateful.

KKenneth TanLocation is a short walk from Dogo onsen station. The experience was amazing, rooms were huge and I was surprised to have a staff member show us around the room and explain the amenities available. The amount of hospitality is above and beyond any we've experienced at other places and ryokans. They also have a very beautiful outdoor garden, onsen and geta (traditional Japanese wooden shoes) and yukata to wear around the premises.

GGuest UserGet off at Dogo Onsen Station and walk to the iconic Dogo Onsen Honkan. The hotel is just north of it.
There is a butler at the door who will greet you warmly when you come back. The hotel has its own orange juice tap (pay attention to the time) and a massage chair in the room. If you go out to take a bath in the three famous hot springs, a basket with towels and a yukata are provided free of charge.
The private hot spring is on the first floor underground, with one indoor and one outdoor pool. The quality of the hot spring is very good, and it feels unnecessary to queue at the door of the main building.
A hot spring tax of 150 yen per person per day is collected when checking out.

Everyone at the front desk was very efficient and polite, and the location made it easy to get to anywhere, so I'm glad I chose this hotel.

But it's really great.
It's right in front of Don Quixote, so you can go buy anything you need at any time.
It's a single room, but it's the largest Japanese hotel I've ever been to.
And the big bath that drags Dogo hot spring water is so good
If you go, you have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, skin lotion, even cleansing foam !!! It was so nice to be able to enjoy the hot springs every evening.
I think I'll stop here next time I come to Matsuyama!

Free good coffee for breakfast (even if you don’t buy breakfast (not expensive)). Helpful staff. Smallish room with excellent bed and shower/bath. Very good Price-Quality.
On the ‘hill’ behind the Honkan Onsen (seen from the hotel) there is an Information. They have some free short walks printed. There is also a free footbath with a view on the Honkan (and the Patio hotel).
Famous temple 51 is 20-30 minutes walk from the hotel or take a bus.

WwwhosambirThe staff at the front desk were efficient, though they came across as cold and reserved. The room was disappointing, with run-of-the-mill furniture/furnishings and a creaky chair. The lights were too dim. There was no view as the lower half of the window was blocked by a wall. On the other hand, the bathroom looked quite elegant and was kept clean.
The location is great. There are plenty of dining & shopping options nearby. The hotel has a shopping mall on the lower floors and is next to Mitsukoshi Department Store and Okaido Shopping Street. The Okaido Tram Stop is down the street. The bus stop for the airport limousine is right in front of Mitsukoshi. Attractions such as Bansuiso, Saka no Ue no Kumo Museum and the cable car to Matsuyama Castle are all within walking distance.

Bathroom is of decent size by Japanese standard.

VVictorI was there at Jan 2024, and only stayed there for 2 days.
The staff there can speak English, and were nice. The second day I stayed there, the staff offered me to have hotpot with all the other people living in Fujiya, an unforgettable experience I treasured and will forever remembered. Even though it is a proxy of a Japanese family, it did feel like I have experienced the Japanese hospitality and friendliness. There were some interesting characters, who may or may not frequented Fujiya, whom I had the pleasure to have this hotpot together.
The facilities are not the best, but the basics necessities were there and no complaining from me, they have an AC there, comfortable enough for me.
The staff did explain that there is only one shower, so we might have to wait for the person to finish. However, since the location is so close to Dogo Onsen, they did recommend to go there instead, and after all, it was why i chose this location in the first place. Location is really close to the Dogo Onsen and the Yuzuki-Castle ruin, which was a lifesaver for me
I would say that all other sight-seeing locations are within walking distance as well since I did walk to all those interesting places. However, I do realize not all people like to walk like I do. To counter that, Fujiya is practically next to the tram station, which you can use it to go to many places in the city.

판판다라The accommodation is very clean. The blankets were also clean. Wider than it appears in the photo. There are enough people to sleep comfortably. There is a separate shower room on the second floor, but it is not a burden because it is a private shower room. The owner and employees are all women and friendly, so I think women can use it with confidence. There seems to be only one Wi-Fi installed at the desk on the first floor, so you should assume there is no Wi-Fi. The location of the accommodation is perfect as it is less than a 5-minute walk from Dogo Onsen. The private rooms have thick walls, so the soundproofing is better than I thought.
If you can tolerate the inconvenience of having a separate shower room, this is the best value for money. Everything else was perfect. Recommended for those who want to use it cheaply.

GGuest UserIt was really quiet when I was there, but everything was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is toast with jam and instant noodles. The location is very convenient as well it's close to the train station, you can check in at the restaurant on the first level. They don't speak English but have a written instruction.
