"The hotel's exterior is beautiful, and the rooms are clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The front desk staff (specifically, the young lady) was warm and attentive. Breakfast offers a good variety, including rice noodles, regular noodles, fried eggs, and fruit. The chicken noodle soup (mǐxiàn) was particularly tasty. The restaurant next door serves delicious food at reasonable prices, and they even have dance and singing performances in the evenings. My only suggestion for improvement would be to enhance staff training to prevent incidents like someone entering the room with a key card without knocking first."

"I booked a suite for my eight-year-old child because I snore quite loudly, which would disturb his rest. That's why I booked a suite. The bedroom and living room were separate; my child slept in the bedroom, and I slept on the sofa in the living room, so we wouldn't disturb each other or affect my child's sleep. However, to my dismay, the Jianguo Hotel, which claims to be a five-star hotel, had an empty wardrobe, no spare pillows, blankets, or quilts. There was only one trash can in the living room, and not even one in the bedroom. On the first night, I wore one nightgown and used another nightgown as a pillow under the sofa back. I slept on the sofa all night, but I felt uncomfortable. It was too hot without the air conditioning and too cold with it on. So, on my second night, around 11 PM, I called the front desk to ask if they could bring me a blanket or quilt. Here's the ridiculous part: the front desk replied that their hotel didn't have any extra blankets or quilts—not a single one. I was speechless and hung up. A few minutes later, I kept thinking about it and found it unbelievable, so I called the front desk again. I asked if they were taking advantage of their size, or if it was because it was late and they didn't want to disturb their staff's rest. The front desk asked when I called, and I said just a few minutes ago. The front desk said it wasn't her who answered (but I clearly heard the same person), but she could check and said they had one blanket and would have housekeeping bring it up. A while later, a male staff member came carrying a messy, lumpy blanket—just a lump of it—and said to me with a defiant look, "You're cold, I'm bringing you a blanket." His tone was clearly provocative. It was awful. I had a child with me, and it was late. I tolerated it! I'm a Ctrip Black Diamond member and have stayed in many hotels and restaurants of various star ratings across the country, some good and some bad. But the only one I truly want to review is the Jianguo Hotel, the only five-star hotel in Hekou County, Yunnan. To summarize: the room facilities and cleanliness were average (there was hair on the pillows, and there was an odor in the living room and bathroom). The professionalism of all staff was low (from the front desk to the restaurant staff)."
