Four Seasons Hotels in Hangzhou

1. As a 2000+ hotel, the room design is compact, which is not as good as other hotels of the same price or even five-star hotels of around 1,000 yuan. 2. The room has a peculiar smell, which may be because it has just opened in 24 years, but the pungent smell when opening the door is really disappointing. 3. The reception and guest room floors are shabby and cramped, and the aisles are narrow, which feels like an economy hotel. 4. The direction of the bedclothes in the room is reversed, and they are scattered into layers of sheets. 5. The so-called canal view room has a wide view but the scenery is average, and the sound insulation is average. The high floors can still hear the horns and noise of vehicles downstairs, which affects sleep. 6. The breakfast is hard to describe. It is not much different from or even worse than hotels below 1,000 yuan. There are few categories and the taste is average. 7. The mini bar in the room is all charged, and the quality of toiletries and other supplies is average. The standard of the complimentary water and drinks is also the basic national standard. The paper box packaging has no quality except for the gimmick. 8. The overall service is OK, which is probably the only passing score.

The hotel is very beautiful and equipped it with all amenities needed. Oliver, the concierge, was very helpful and suggesting us with a lot of useful information with warmth and sincerity. One shortcoming was the housekeeping service that the third night during our stay, we went back to the room around 8 PM and our two rooms were not cleaned. I wonder about that because I believed that I did not turn on Do Not Disturb button. After a long day of traveling, we've got to wait for the housekeeping to clean the room for another hour to use the rooms. However, the overall experience was good and we wish to go back again next time.
