I booked a mixed room for 8 people, and wrote in the reservation notes that I needed a lower bed, a quiet location, and a location not near the door. But the front desk, perhaps because I was Chinese, told me that there were only lower beds near the door of the room closest to the stairs. By default, they arranged a room for eight Chinese men. But later I observed that many tourists from all over the world also checked in, and there were rooms available.
