Love the location. The workers are really helpful and make you feel comfortable in to settle in. Late check out at 1pm is a bonus. Rooms are clean, comfortable mattress and good local breakfast. Highly recommended.

A truly unique stay at this beautiful artistic heritage hotel. The atmosphere is captivating, and the service was truly awesome– attentive and welcoming throughout. The breakfast was absolutely yummy, a delicious start to the day. However, two significant issues impacted comfort: 1. Room Lighting:The lights were far too low, making it difficult to see or function properly in the room after dark. 2. Noise Transfer:The acoustics from the room above (Level 2) were terrible. Every footstep and movement from upstairs guests was clearly audible and disruptive, making relaxation difficult.

For this trip, I opted for a traditional Chinese-style guesthouse located right at the entrance of Fuzhou's Shangxiahang Scenic Area. Housed in a charming old building, its overall aesthetic and comfort level were truly impressive. The proprietor was incredibly kind and attentive to every detail. The guesthouse offers complimentary afternoon tea (two servings of tea, fruits, and small snacks) and a free Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) experience, allowing you to freely explore the Shangxiahang Scenic Area dressed in traditional attire. For those who enjoy calligraphy or traditional ink painting, this place is a dream – they provide complimentary brushes, ink, paper, and an inkstone, all set up on a wonderfully large table. It's worth noting that while most hotels and guesthouses typically have a 2 PM check-in and 12 PM check-out, this one offers an early check-in at 11 AM and a late check-out at 1 PM the next day, provided you inform them a day in advance. During check-out, I had a brief chat with the owner who was preparing tea. He was so welcoming and accommodating. When I casually mentioned I'd forgotten about breakfast, he said they could provide it anytime, as long as you ask beforehand, not strictly limited to the usual breakfast hours (which are apparently 8-10 AM). Nearby, you'll find Fuzhou's famous old eateries: 'Erlongbo Yuanxiao,' 'Tongli Rouyan,' and Dadao's 'Yiqiang Niuhua.' On the same street as 'Niuhua,' there's also 'Hao Li Bing' (Oyster Cake). You truly can't go wrong with any of these places; they're all highly recommended! For 'Laohua,' I suggest trying 'Axin.' As for fish balls, it's a matter of personal taste, but you might as well try them at Tongli Rouyan while you're there. 😂 All in all, this guesthouse boasts a fantastic location, both its physical facilities and service quality were outstanding, and there are plenty of delicious food options nearby. Absolutely superb! 👍🏻

The location is fantastic, right inside the scenic area. It was very quiet at night, ensuring a peaceful rest. Our room was clean and spotless. Both the front desk staff and the owner were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even provided complimentary snacks and tea, and the breakfast spread was delicious and plentiful. The large courtyard was a huge plus; our kids spent hours playing there. We also took some fantastic, picture-perfect photos with the 'Three Knives'. Highly recommended – you won't be disappointed!

We arrived quite late, and after dinner, it was already well past midnight by the time we reached the B&B. The front desk staff informed us that the loft room we'd booked wasn't ideal for male guests, so they upgraded our room. However, the upgraded room was still quite small and felt more like a standard, perhaps cheaper, king room. The B&B has a charming, antique ambiance. The wooden floors in our room creaked when walked upon, which actually added to the overall character of the place. All the staff members were friendly and provided good service.

The hotel is a historic building, and the room I booked on the second floor beautifully retains its original wooden beam ceilings. The ambiance is elegant, and the location is superb, offering a peaceful retreat in the heart of the bustling Shangxiahang scenic area. The front desk staff were all incredibly warm and welcoming, and even the housekeeping ladies were extremely courteous. Plenty of dining options are available nearby, making it incredibly convenient for all meals. We stayed for 4 days, and the overall experience was quiet, serene, and wonderfully comfortable. We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Fuzhou.

The guesthouse truly boasts an antique charm. Though it's a renovated old house, it's full of character and韵味. Anyone who appreciates traditional aesthetics will absolutely love it – I certainly did! The facilities were decent. The bedding, air conditioning, and bathroom water heater all worked perfectly. The only minor point was that the floorboards had a slight creak when walking, but it didn't really bother me. The location was fantastic for exploring. I had worried that staying within the scenic area might be inconvenient, but it wasn't at all. Right outside, there's plenty to see and explore, and an evening stroll by the river with a gentle breeze was wonderfully peaceful and relaxing. The only slight drawback, likely due to it being an older building, was that the soundproofing wasn't ideal. I could clearly hear people walking and talking outside. However, this generally wasn't an issue after midnight. The absolute highlight was the guesthouse owner's truly exceptional service! They kindly helped me receive a package that was delivered there and proactively assisted us with our luggage during both check-in and check-out. What's more, when it was raining upon our departure, they even offered us an umbrella – so thoughtful! Unfortunately, I didn't get any photos of the guesthouse's interior. The ones I've included were all taken from outside, just for your reference!

The hotel staff were incredibly thoughtful. They even offered welcome snacks upon check-in. On the day I checked in, it was pouring rain, and a lovely staff member came out with an umbrella to escort me. My clothes were completely drenched, but I truly appreciated her effort and kindness. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is situated right within the scenic area, making it super convenient to explore whenever you like. I was very pleased with both the hotel's ambiance and the service. All in all, I'm beyond satisfied!

A charming, historic house dating back hundreds of years, full of character. 📍 Located within the Shangxiahang scenic area, it's very convenient for taxis. Strolling around in the mornings and evenings when it's less crowded is particularly delightful and offers a unique charm. Despite its age, the house is fully equipped with amenities. While the soundproofing isn't the strongest, it was very quiet at night, and the rooms thoughtfully provide eye masks and earplugs. 💫 The service was outstanding! We enjoyed relaxing tea in the lobby, and they even offer a complimentary Hanfu experience (makeup and hair styling come with an additional charge). 🍽️ The breakfast spread was incredibly generous – we were absolutely stuffed! We also had their incredibly authentic plum juice, which was wonderfully tart, appetizing, and perfectly thirst-quenching. Absolutely superb! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
