Best Kuching Hotels

Harbour View has arguably the best location in Kuching. From here I can walk to Waterfront, Carpenter Street, and Padungan. There is a coffeeshop and 7-11 nearby. Price is in the mid-range. I stayed here for 1 week, had a room with a view of Tua Pek Kong Temple. The lobby is small and doesn't have comfortable chairs. The hotel seems fully booked judging by the huge crowds during breakfast. Cafe Harapan serves a decent buffet and I really enjoyed their hot coffee. But don't expect a large spread compared to the more upscale hotels nearby like Pullman, Astana Wing and Hilton. The only setback is poor wifi connectivity.

Real evaluation: Ctrip booked 2 nights, couldn't cancel, had to stay. It's quite remote, not very convenient without a car. The environment is a bit like Bali, but the homestay is relatively small, the hygiene is OK, the sheets are clean, and the room is clean. We basically don't open the window, there are no bugs, don't worry, but there will be mosquitoes downstairs, it's relatively quiet, there is nothing around, you can only eat in the hotel, the price is a bit high, not very cheap, but in such a remote place, there is nothing to complain. Even instant noodles can't be bought! The service attitude is good, every employee greets with a smile. If you want to experience rural life, just stay for one night. Staying for 2 nights will be a bit boring, there is no TV. On the way back, the driver said that there is a very fresh seafood market here, you can buy directly, they can process it, and if the hotel can arrange some itineraries, it may not be so boring. The overall cost performance is not high, it's okay to stay for one night. If you stay in a bed, it's cheaper.

Surrounded in lush and greens, with a nice ocean view. This resort is old, be prepared for it.. but i had a good night sleep. Breakfast is basic, nothing fancy but i ate well. Thanks for the hospitality extended by the hotel staff.

they were renovating during our stay so some ammenities weren’t exactly where they are but overall it was a value for money stay. they upgraded us to the executive suite which was a really big room. some parts of the room like the paint is abit worn down if you really stare at it. the water pressure was really bad but despite that the room was clean and service was good. in room meal was not the best in terms of taste, didnt get breakfast tho. hopefully once the renovations are done it will look much betterb

Stayed at a hotel just opposite the famous Cat Statue in Kuching, and overall, it was a decent experience. The location is definitely the highlight – everything is within walking distance, and there’s even a sampan service right behind the hotel, which made it really convenient to explore the area. The room itself was okay. The aircond worked well – maybe a bit too well since it was freezing cold at times. The bed was on the harder side, not exactly my preference. The bathroom looked a bit dated, with a bathtub included, but honestly, I would’ve preferred a separate shower and tub. However, one thing that could be improved is the bathrobe – it was way too thin. Breakfast was okay, especially since they served local favorites like Sarawak Laksa and Kolo Mee. In short, great location, decent breakfast, but the room comfort could be better. Perfect for a short stay if you want easy access to tourist spots.
