"Hotel the Flag exceeded our expectations. The location is convenient and in a nice, happening part of Osaka. Less than 10 mins from the nearest subway and walking distance to Dotonburi. The service from check-in until the time we collected our luggage late the next day was excellent. Staff speak good English and were lovely. Rooms looked new and spotless, there were small but probably slightly bigger than the average size in Japan. Breakfast was simple but really good and a good selection too. There is a water cooler to refill your bottle, and coin laundry/dryer facilities within the hotel. I totally recommend this hotel."

"Used for watching baseball. The roof of the dome was visible from a close distance and it was easy to come and go in about 15 minutes. I arrived before 13:00, but it was good to check in as soon as the cleaning was completed and I was able to relax. The email asking for check-in time arrived the next day instead of the day (because it is via a travel agency), so it is smooth to contact the arrival time in advance."

"The hotel location is great and easy to walk around exploring right in the middle of the city and you will find this gem ramen store open 24/7! The only disappointment was with the butler service or more the non existent butler service. For the price we are paying, I expected much much more from St Regis as I have been accustomed to at other St Regis Hotels. The hotel is beginning to show its age and hence the cleanliness part is coming into question when our rooms were being cleaned, I mean I am again nit picking here but it isn’t up to St Regis usual standards. The gym room is adequate but there isn’t a pool in a 5 star hotel 🙃."

"What I love in this hotel is their freebies. Free noodles every night, free drinks, ice cream etc. I also like their breakfast. I like their room too. Its has 2 beds with pull out. Whats funny here is I cannot connect to their wifi in the room. I dont know. Manager even went to our room when I called and informed them. Also, since we are 3, and they advertise that children is free. They will not set up your room for 3 people since other one is free. I need to ask a towel everyday for my child."

"I recently stayed at this minimalist-designed hotel with a strong focus on sustainability. The rooms were small but efficiently designed, making good use of space. The reception area doubled as a bar and breakfast buffet, which was a unique and convenient touch. The breakfast offered a good variety, aligning with the hotel's eco-friendly ethos. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk from the train station, which was manageable and added to the overall experience. Friendly service-focused staff."

"Room was spacious. It has nearby convenience store , so very accessible :) Great location 👍 Asked for a nice view which I read from the review and they upgraded the room to the high floor with the marriott membership they offer to get a room with a view and got no view and get 0 benefits from it🥹 Staffs are kind They also have a good ambiance lobby Sadly we didn’t hangout at there bar, which were lacked of time and spent it all outside 🫣😂 Also a min walk from the train station,underground and nearby restaurants and massage. Over all we enjoyed our stay from our leisure."

"Spacious, clean room. Typical Marriott layout. I like this location - safe and quiet neighbourhood. Multiple combinis nearby. Less than 10 mins walk to dotonburi area, subway station and also OCAT to catch the airport limousine. Ice machine room was a bit dusty - needs some cleaning."

"Extremely bad service especially for a luxury hotel. Air-condition in room was hardly working, very suffocating for summer. Explained it to the night receptionist. Who immediately replied why could we bear with it on the first night. Sent a fellow service staff who stuck a temperature rod deep into the vent to show the air con was working fine. Couldn’t understand that there was no wind. On the check out day, asked the concierge on the ground floor to help book a bigger taxi in the morning as there were more people and bags. The person replied “yes, yes, yes”. Came back in late afternoon to confused looks."

"Hotel location was a great choice for us to drop off our shopping and continue our journey. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable and although the floor was fully occupied it was not noisy. Amenities and toiletries provided were excellent and ample. Will definitely come again, thank you!"
