This hotel is just close enough to everything and just far enough away to be quiet, classy and comfortable. We loved this hotel. As soon as you see it, you know it has a special vibe. It's natural wood facade is very beautiful, as is the inside. It's on a side street that is close to all the shopping, restaurants and night life you need. The amenities are top notch, the room was quite large, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast buffet was excellent. We loved staying here and will again, someday.
Used for watching baseball. The roof of the dome was visible from a close distance and it was easy to come and go in about 15 minutes. I arrived before 13:00, but it was good to check in as soon as the cleaning was completed and I was able to relax. The email asking for check-in time arrived the next day instead of the day (because it is via a travel agency), so it is smooth to contact the arrival time in advance.

Close to Tennoji station, bargain for this price with breakfast. Suitable for those who need to take an early train to the airport. Breakfast options can be changed with add-on price. Room hygiene is acceptable but with the smell of cigarettes. Even I remarked a non-smoking room.

I booked this hotel because of the location and mainly because of their funky statue in the front entrance. I was able to check in my room before the check in time which was great. They offered a lot of freebies which I love, but you do have to be back at hotel by a certain time to take advantage of their offerings. They provide free bike rentals, but it was hard to use it since the streets are a bit busy and a lot of things are walkable already. They also provide free pocket wifi to use during your stay. They also have free cup noodles, sake, beer and ice cream every night. I believe it starts at 5-9pm. They have event night to, something for the kids to do and they have kimono night as well do you can save on kimono rentals. I like how they have a scale so you can weigh your luggages. Unlike most hotel rooms where it’s more of a square or rectangle space, I kinda of think the shape of my room reminds me of the letter M. It’s definitely a workable space and is big enough to lay out 2 middle size luggages. the bathroom was a bit small and I’m 5’2. If you’re 6 ft, I think you’ll struggle to stand up in the bathtub because I felt my head wasn’t far from the ceiling. They are an ecofriendly hotel. I stayed for about 3 nights and they cleaned my room once. They do offer water and towels every night. I did notice one strand of hair at the corner of the bed, which wasn’t mine since I didn’t even use the bed yet. Other than that, the room was overall clean. They had 2 windows in my room so I was able to get fresh air. They have a very old air purifier in the room as well. I like how they have a lot of hooks so you can hang your clothes to air dry. They also have this string you can extend in your bathroom so you can hang clothes to dry there as well. The bed wasn’t overly soft nor hard and the rooms were quite. The staff didn’t greet us as much, but they were helpful if you need help or ask them questions. before you leave make sure you give them a post on IG, you’ll get s prize doing it.

I enjoy staying at Moxy chains (even though I only stayed in one prior to this) because of its modern but funky atmosphere and rooms. The room itself is as expected from a Moxy. Compact, but still bigger than most Japanese business hotels. As a platinum, I did not get upgraded. I had to ask upon check-in and was told there was only 1 available on the 3rd floor. Granted I requested for a higher floor... I would rather not get upgraded and stay on the original floor given to me, which was the 8th. I also asked to be away from the elevator, but was placed in the room right in front of the elevator. To be honest, I find it hard to believe no others rooms were available.. I only stayed for one night and it was on Thursday night. Luckily, I didn’t hear any sounds. Either the walls were that good, or barely anyone was staying on my floor. I’m going to go with the latter one. The only complaint I have with the room was the tin garbage can provided. I get the “go green” thing going on, but I didn’t feel comfortable throwing garbage anywhere without a bag because of stains or liquid leakage. I ended up using my own plastic bag. It would make more sense to save the plastic on the slippers no? But that goes for most hotels, not just this one. No robes, but pajamas are available on the first floor. The restaurant/bar: If I would rate this alone, it would be a solid 5. Just look at the prices. That itself is already fair enough but this was under a hotel. I actually found it hard to believe they were offering such low prices! And the taste... amazing. The burger I ordered was very juicy and whatever sauce they used added more flavor to it. The nachos were handmade (?) and the portions were all fair. However, why the 3 stars? Out of the 7 staff members I’ve interacted with, only 3 of them spoke fluent English. The lady who checked me in (very sweet, short brown hair,) the manager (?,) and a foreigner who took my order at the bar (who spoke like a Japanese.) Two others literally ran away from me to get someone to speak to me, while 2 others said very basic words. Pretty sure they couldn’t understand what I was saying. Ironically, the owner (?) of this place, is a foreigner himself. I passed by the gym and noticed a guy talking in the phone. He was the same guy that’s on their Instagram so I’m assuming that he’s the owner. I get this is Japan, but Moxy is under Marriott, which is an international brand. Definitely caught me by surprise when I had to use my elementary Japanese to get my point across. Another thing is the location. This is not Shin-Umeda. It’s clearly Fukushima which is what they’re marketing it on their IG. So very misleading. Problem is that the closest subway station is over 15 minutes away! Yes there’s a JR but the metro is what most people would take, to go to tourist spots. So I would say this hotel is targeting the Japanese business audience instead. If you are taking the metro, Nishi-Umeda would be the closest station. Lastly, t

Great to see new Aloft hotels as the brand is our favourite of the mid-tier in the Marriott group. Warm welcome. Rooms are typical of city hotels in terms of size but has a great layout with a semi-circular sofa and table and spacious bathroom area. The usual incredibly comfortable bed from Aloft. Staff were attentive and friendly throughout. The breakfast buffet was very good in terms of offering and quality. We were on the 10th floor and there was some residual noise from the road below but no different to most city centre hotels. We loved the location as could walk to Osaka station and also south across the river. Exceptional price point too.

Location is excellent being next to Shin Osaka station. All staff are well trained, friendly and helpful. We have no issues in communicating with the staff. Rooms are spacious & roomy enough for two pax. They are clean as well. Being next to the train station, there are plentiful eateries available in the station; in case one does not wish to take meals in the hotel.
This hotel was amazing, but only stay here if you're comfortable having to commute around 40 mins (and multiple subway transfers) to most of the tourist attractions/spots in the city. We loved having the option of just staying in the spacious room and watching the hustle and bustle of the port, or making the trek out to the city. One hidden gem nearby is the ATC Hall, which has a number of good restaurants/cafes in a mall that seems like it would offer less. This mega hotel, basically a resort, has a little bit of everything and even though it's decor is clearly from the early 90's, it doesn't feel dated at all (except for the TVs). I wish the outdoor pool was open, but we only had an option for the indoor pool, which uses a reservation system. All in all, I'd recommend this hotel because of the view and the location, despite it being far from everything in Osaka.

Concierge: We emailed the hotel weeks in advance of our stay to assist with bookings. Weeks would pass before they would respond, and multiple follow up emails were required to get a response. They did successfully book one 3 Michelin star restaurant to which we owe them significant credit. However, when we arrived and asked basic requests such as where to find restaurants or stores, the concierge was usually very short and had no suggestions. We were better off consulting Google maps. And this for a 5 star concierge service? In addition, the English skills of many of the concierge staff were extremely limited. While I know some Japanese, it should not be required at a hotel of this calibre. In fact, when visiting Japan, a 5 star hotel should have fluent English speakers for most front facing staff. Hotel Condition: The hotel has significant and noticeable wear and tear. We were in a Grand Deluxe Suite and when I arrived, a man was literally gluing on a piece of the door that had torn off. The woodwork throughout the suite was heavily scratched and dented including tables. The carpet was worn thin, and the sofa's velvet exterior was worn. In any event, for a hotel suite whose copay was $500+ per night, this was disappointing. Check out Process: The check out process was extremely troubling and disappointing. We asked for a Butler to assist with bags multiple times, and even after 45 minutes they did not come up to our room to collect our bags. This resulted in us having to drag our bags down to the lobby ourselves, as we were rushing for a Shinkansen train. Normally, this would have been fine, but we had a lot of luggage. The significantly wait time for luggage assistance is not characteristic of a St. Regis. Hidden Taxes and No Final Folio Provided: The hotel has some hidden taxes associated with rooms that have copays for upgrades. While we expected to pay 50,000 yen per night + about 37,000 yen in total taxes (about 5600 yen per night in tax), we did not expect too many additional taxes. Yet there was another 6500 or so taxes per night in taxes we were assessed. Even after numerous attempts, the hotel never sent a final folio nor explained the charges which is all I asked. General Impressions: The hotel seems poorly managed with a ”choatic” vibe in which there is not only no personalized guests are vying for the attention for concierge staff who are stretched too thin with minimal English skills. While I understand this is a busy time for the hotel, the hotel should not be having any difficulty meeting basic demands of elite members even when they are at capacity. The hotel felt more like a 3-4 star hotel than a St. Regis. Among St. Regis hotels, this one was a major disappointment.

I arrived at 2:00 PM to check in, but was told my room wasn't ready and to come back at 3:00 PM. I decided to have afternoon tea in the lounge. There were plenty of empty seats visible, but I was informed it was fully booked. So, we went to the bar for coffee, but nothing there appealed to us. At 3:00 PM, I returned to check in, only to be told the room would be ready at 3:30 PM. However, the concierge was very patient and helpful, booking a restaurant for us, and the view from the room made up for the delays.

TtejavannI’ve stayed here more times than I can remember. Just shows how much I like the IC. The hotel continues to deliver on service, cleanliness and location. With the opening of the Grand Green Osaka there are even more shops, restaurants and greenery around the hotel. It’s a big shame though that with the new office and hotels towers having come up, rooms facing the west, which in the past had the best views of the Umeda Sky Building and the Yodo River now has obstructed views.

GGuest UserLocation is nice, less than 5 min walking to metro. A lot of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Neighbourhood is quiet. The room is clean, but glasses were dirty like they newer been washed. The bathroom is small and equipped with old-fashioned water mixer that regulates hot and cold water separately.

SSleepywinkThe hotel was located at a very convenient location. There is a big shopping mall opposite, with shopping and eateries. The size of rooms were big too. Loving it. Hotel was very thoughtful in the amenities selection. They even included DHC make up cleanser oil, facial foam, toner and face cream. Very convenient for the tired traveler. The hotel buffet breakfast was very nice too. Pretty good selection of food and drinks.
Not forgetting the superb service by the check in staff too ! Thanks, We will definitely return 😊

GGuest UserHotel is at the entrance to Universal, you can also buy tickets to the park at the hotel lobby. Great hotel for families. Probably the best location after having a long day at universal park you can come back to the hotel within minutes from leaving the park gate.
GGuest UserStayed at VIA and had an amazing experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable, providing exceptional service with a smile. The location was perfect, with easy access to local attractions and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and hassle-free stay. I will definitely be returning.

HHalsansanI stayed at this hotel because Aikata participated in the Osaka marathon. There is a deep shop around the hotel that can eat cheap and delicious things. If you use the hotel, you can enter and exit the hotel after checking in. The hotel has a different entrance and exit from the facility user, but you have to take off your shoes. Take your shoes to geta box and store them and walk barefoot in the hotel. Is the room simple and business hotel? However, the bed comfort was the best. There was also UB, but there was a large hot spring facility, so I didn't use the bus in the room. I was booked for one night, but this city was too fun to stay for another night. I negotiated and luckily I had a vacancy, so I ended up staying overnight.
AAnonymous UserVery good location. Just one station heading to Shinsaibashisuji.
The room is very large. Plenty of space of open all your luggages.

YYingXuanLLocated in the heart of dotonburi, just a street across the main dontonburi street. Hotel is located opposite the Korean embassy, so security is good in the area. We arrived at the hotel earlier than check in time but they allowed us to check into our rooms. This hotel receives many guests, there were multiple other groups checking in at the same time as my group. Staff also speaks limited English, but was able to communicate with them using google translate. Front counter is at level 1, with a bar counter right beside. Level 2 is a lounge area, with seats and even a pool table! Gym is also located at level 2. Shared washing machines were located at level 15, but guests are required to collect a key to enter the laundry room from the front desk. Rooms were of decent size, but lighting was slightly dark in my opinion. The shampoo, body soaps, hand wash were great, I loved the smell of it!
RRich7677Affordable hotel that is very near to Dotonburi and Metro station. I booked 3 nights with breakfast(bread and coffee). Our room is good enough for me and my daughter, has space for our luggages. Toilet has bath tub too..

GGuest UserThis was my second time staying at Holiday Inn Namba. The first stay was great - bright and clean room which looked newly renovated. This time the room was entirely opposite. It was dark and feels dirty - stains on the wall in various parts of the room. Carpet and furniture was old.
Then there was a day when the housekeeping didn’t come by and I called for top up of the bathroom amenities. I was asked to pick up these myself from front desk. Not a big deal but was annoyed since this was due to them not doing housekeeping at no fault of mine.
