We stayed in three-bedroom House for 2 nights - the house is very spacious facing a beautiful garden and the room has BBQ facilities for the guests. This type of the room (house) has its own garage and it was very easy to drop off baggage and other items from our car. We enjoyed BBQ in the balcony and also coking in the kitchen - the dining table inside the room was large enough for family.
The guests have access to swimming pools in Grand Mercure the Vintage and another accommodation nearby - Chateau Elan At The Vintage Hunter Valley - we enjoyed swimming during daytime, staying away from extremely hot weather.
The air condition machine is not working well due to heatwave during daytime and water gets clogged in one of the shower rooms - otherwise, all good.

What a little gem of a place… We booked two nights to visit as many wineries as possible around Pokolbin and this lodge was the ideal place to base ourselves from. The pictures don’t do it justice but our lodge looked out across their small vineyard, the lodge had everything we needed and was well Appointed. After a days wine tasting we were able to throw ourselves in the pool excellent… wake up in the early morning and you can watch the young kangaroos having “boxing” matches in the morning sun…Then go eat in their attached restaurant what was a French cuisine and pretty impressive quality… either way it was a winner ..

Gorgeous grounds, lovely apartment, very well equipped. Very smart and modern. Comfortable bed, fabulous bathroom, loads of hot water. Staff lovely (Matt was very helpful). Very short walk (5mins) out of the back gate to a great wood fired pizza restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

Tower Lodge is truly a 5 star experience, from our arrival to our departure our stay was truly memorable. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and shown to our suite which was one of the most beautiful rooms I have had the pleasure in staying in , the high ceilings , the open fire and the sumptuous bathroom , truly luxurious. Breakfast and dinner is included in the room rate which is something we would generally avoid but would advise everyone not to avoid as the food is 5 star fine dining using local ingredients and cooked by a chef who you know just loves what he does . The level of service and friendliness of all the staff was outstanding and they could not do enough for us with bookings for wineries and personal gin and whiskey tastings which are a must . Finally I have to mention the owner Michael who introduced himself to us on our first night and was a fountain of knowledge to the history of the lodge and all the other parts of the business . His passion was infectious and made our stay more enjoyable. We will 100% return if we ever return to Australia.

The hotel's service is very good. The front desk is very warm and friendly. The room is quite big. The bed is very comfortable. There is a balcony door to go straight. The swimming pool is very wide. There are often kangaroos playing freely on the nearby lawn. The front door is an endless vineyard. I am at the door. On the road, I photographed a kangaroo mother who was preparing to cross the road. There was also a kangaroo in the arms. The locals were very friendly to the kangaroos. They would drive the guests slow, especially when they encountered kangaroos. Slow down and confirm that they would not hurt them.

GGuest UserRelax, unwind and explore. This boutique, eco-friendly little retreat was a very welcome break from the hustle and bustle of city and family life for my husband and I. Everything was easy, well planned and made for a great experience. Check-in was a breeze with the room code sent directly to my mobile and email, including directions and contact info in case we needed it during our stay. Breakfast provisions were provided in the room, and they catered for my Gluten Intolerance perfectly; this made the two mornings we stayed so very easy as we did not need to plan or even leave the room for decent coffee and our food. The welcoming sage-green of our room and large windows just created this cozy little oasis where we could watch the sunsets with a wine in hand. We also admired the morning mists on the mountains, the wildlife in the vineyards and the occasional hot air balloon drift past while we had coffee on the balcony. This little gem will be recommended by us to all who need some fresh air and to unwind from the daily grind - we will be back!

GGuest UserAnyone would love it here. The rooms are great. The staff is lovely and very knowledgeable about the area . The restaurant is excellent. Americans (and Europeans, I presume) might love it even more though because Spicers perfectly fit my image and expectation for Australian wine country, right down to the other guests mostly being people up from Sydney rather than off an international tour bus. I could see sunsets right from our room that seemed like they were from a movie set. There are kangaroos hopping around the property, especially early in the morning when us jet lagged Americans are already wide awake. Compared to places of comparable quality in Napa Valley, the prices were very fair. And they’ll do a bag of laundry for $30, making it much easier to pack light on your long trip!

GGuest UserWe had a favourable first impression at the room/ property but after 1 night you’ll start to see all the issues. We love the fact that it is a sustainable resort but there’s a lot to be desired after 5 nights in their suite. Day 1: Checkin was rushed, reception didn’t explained the room amenities provided with the room type we’ve booked-in (spa suite). Room did not come with standard amenity kit (no cotton pad no toothbrush no sanitary pad etc) upon check in. I had to call to ask for toothbrushes. We didn’t know that the room came with a working fireplace, free still & sparkling water, no phone directory in the room / label on the phone. And most importantly how to get room serviced or not. when we had an issue about the room not being serviced they asked us repeatedly did we put the doortag outside (we didn’t - which is the correct way to get the room serviced). If this is important, then they should make it a clear point to explain this during checkin. We had dinner at the bar, we ordered a cauliflower salad to share (among other foods). It was so disappointing to received a big bowl of spinach and 3 small pieces of dried chicken breast. Since the title of the salad is cauliflower salad, we were unimpressed that it was the one ingredient that was missing from that bowl. The salad cost almost $30 for what seems to be a bag of baby spinach salad that you could buy from coles or wollies for $3. Oh yes and dressing on that was also on existent. Upon clearing our plates, bar staff didn’t asked us how the food was & she was quite abrupt. Day 2: Had breakfast and staff was friendly and efficient. We also noticed that there’s a sign that says ‘kids club’ which we then asked the reception where it was which they then explained it was an adjoining room that had games, colouring books etc for kids (it’s school holidays) which we thought was a great idea and our son did went in to play and enjoyed it. Came back to the room, we noticed that the room wasn’t made and only the towels were changed (we didn’t request this). So we thought that they only service the rooms every 2nd night being sustainable an all. So we didn’t thought much about it, we also noticed that the maintenance didn’t come to turn on the fireplace so we followed up on that. And we had that running before they end the shift at 3pm. Honestly that was the saving grace of this trip. The fireplace is a beautiful addition to the room especially during winter. We also requested for another tv control as there’s 2 tv in the suite but only 1 remote. Day 3: Breakfast, and we noticed that the ‘kids club room’ is now converted to a meeting space which my son wasn’t very happy about. I don’t understand why they would introduce a service but then took it away midway through our stay which is still within school holiday period. There was no explanation given. Frustrating to say the least. Room was not serviced again. We began to wonder why and quickly peeked at the room across us that is currentl

AAnonymous UserThe environment is good, the room is large, and there are wild kangaroos if you have a chance to go there. It's worth staying for two more days. The facilities are also complete, including swimming pools, tennis courts and golf courses. Just make a reservation for dinner in advance otherwise it closes very early. The first floor is dark. Free parking is available and suitable for self-driving tours. You need to bring some food with you, as the supermarket is far away.

GGuest UserThe entrance to the room is in the wild. When it is 2 pm, the kangaroo sleeps under the shade of the trees. Then there is a seating area outside the room, which is very comfortable. Children can run in the grass and play with the branches, so happy. In the afternoon, I went to the nearby supermarket to buy some burdock food. The two families made their own dinner, which was very casual and very holiday. The day of the stay is a sunny day. In the evening, you can create a photo. Under the setting sun, the tree shadow is beautiful. If you are lucky enough to catch the kangaroo, the picture is very interesting. In the evening, when you leave the room, you can see the stars in the sky. The Milky Way is clearly visible. The mobile phone broadcasts a quiet little music. It is a step with the loved ones. Stay for a while, don't be too romantic.

Harrigan's is in the center of the wine region, the accommodation is spacious, comfortable and good value for money. The bar and restaurant are one the same site as accommodation, food is great pub grub, drinks are reasonably prices and the hotel has an expansive area for settling inside or outside. Ideal place to use as a base for tripping around during the day and settling in in the evening.

This little apartment is full of world charm ,all the little extras biscuits on arrival, ice in the freezer,fire place,candle and the list goes on .bed so comfortable shower lovely sitting room comfortable. My favourite is the balcony with a coffee and a gorgeous view. Love this place so clean and felt so welcome .will definitely tell my friends and family will stay again
