Amazing
AAkkarpanOur stay at Spicers Vineyard Estate in the Hunter Valley was truly exceptional! The property is set amidst beautiful vineyards, offering a serene and picturesque atmosphere perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were spacious and elegantly appointed, with every detail considered for comfort and luxury.
We dined at éRemo Restaurant, the sister restaurant of Spicers Guesthouse, and it was a culinary delight. Every course was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor—the Binnie Beef Hunter Valley Wagyu was a standout! The accompanying Thomas wine was superb and perfectly paired with the meal.
We also enjoyed a morning walk along the valley’s scenic trail and were greeted with the sight of hot air balloons floating over the hills—a mesmerizing experience. The entire stay was seamless, the staff were attentive, and the setting couldn’t have been more perfect. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the Hunter Valley in style!
TTim Captures MomentsWe stayed at The Carriages Boutique Hotel and Vineyard and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. This was a place I’d wanted to stay at for a long time, and it absolutely lived up to expectations.
The location was beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature, birdlife, and the quiet atmosphere of the Hunter Valley. On our first night, we even had the whole property to ourselves, which made the experience feel extra special.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner nearby and were able to walk back through the gardens to the hotel afterwards, which added to the charm of the stay. Breakfast was simple but perfect, delivered in a basket and ideal for a relaxed morning.
One of the best moments was lighting the fireplace on our final night and enjoying a quiet evening with a glass of wine. The location, service, atmosphere, and overall experience were all fantastic, and this will definitely be one of our fondest memories from the trip.
GGuest UserIt was a lovely stay. Nice room, clean and tidy, the complimentary drink was a nice gesture. The property is huge and peaceful for a relaxing walk around. It's convenient to wineries and restaurants. The only thing didn't really work for us was the air conditioner, couldn't figure out how to turn it on.
GGuest UserGreat place to stay in the Hunter Valley region. The location was fantastic, with easy access to wineries and local attractions. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return.
RR.T.Amazing stay. Room was super clean and modern. Love the espresso machine and they also provided milk. Really great basic necessities and the shower amenities smell fantastic. Fantastic place to relax and chill, overlooking the vineyards, watching kangaroos hop, and cows grazing the fields. It’s exactly what a getaway should be. Easy to check in and out. Thank you.
GGuest UserThis hotel is absolutely fantastic! The staff are incredibly friendly and professional, ensuring a wonderful experience from start to finish. The view is stunning, and the breakfast was exceptional with so many delicious options. The vibe of the hotel is perfect for a relaxed holiday—calming, inviting, and serene. Plus, its location is close to the wineries. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with top-notch service!
JJujuDLovely spot for a weekend in Pokolbin, set way back from the road in a picturesque clearing filled with wallabies! So nice to sit on the balcony and watch the sun go down as they fed on the grass. Lovely spacious room with kitchenette and a big bathtub. Beautiful bathroom products by Jurlique was a nice touch ! The bed was a little firm for me but my husband loved it. Knocked off a star for cleanliness as you could see the walls were quite dusty when the up lights were on. It didn’t feel super private , you could hear all conversation when guests were out on their balconies.
PPaul_LynchElysia is a beautiful retreat set atop a hill overlooking the Hunter Valley. I was doubly impressed by the pools, gyms, and health facilities. They helped balance out the effects of the nearby wineries. Also, the rooms are huge and recently renovated.
GGuest UserThe resort is great, the villa is clean and nice, kids loved it. The only issue I had was when the reception was busy, no one answered the phone while I was trying to call for shuttle bus. So I ended drove my own car instead. The food was great too. Would love to come back again.
FFigureThe hygiene is average. There are mosquitoes and flies in the room, but there is no mosquito repellent. The breakfast buffet has few varieties and choices, only scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms, bread, cereal, juice, coffee and a small amount of fruit. It is very average. There were not many guests for breakfast in the two days.
