Mountwell Suites also have another name that is MOUNTWELL Shan Qixingzheng Taofang Hotel (Chongqing Jiefangbei Hongyadong Branch) on Amap. It's located in the same bldg as another hotel and lobby situated at level 5 that can be accessed from the other hotel lift. This was confusing for us when we first alighted along Xinhua Road. Besides the the confusion of its exact hotel entrance, the location is at the fringe of Bayi food street and mall which is very convenient for us to return late nights. The apartment is also well equipped with two double beds, toilet with bath tub, kitchenette and washer cum dryer. Bottled water is supplied daily and fruits and coffee are supplied at lobby arrangement frm 10am to 5pm? Great place to stay in and friendly staff.

My recent trip to Chongqing was made even better by this hotel near Jiefangbei – it truly exceeded my expectations! The location is absolutely prime, just a 5-minute walk to Jiefangbei, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and exploring local eateries. Iconic spots like Hongyadong, Shibati, the Yangtze River Cableway, and Baixiang Street are all within easy reach, so we didn't waste any time commuting between attractions. It was incredibly hassle-free. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room were a definite highlight. During the day, they offered stunning panoramic views of the Jialing River – the gentle flow of the water and boats passing by were incredibly soothing. At night, the cityscape was even more breathtaking. Yuzhong Peninsula lit up brilliantly, the lights shimmering like a dream. Sitting by the window with a cup of tea, soaking in that night view, was utterly idyllic. The room also featured Malin+Goetz toiletries, which had a luxurious scent and made for a fantastic bathing experience; the attention to detail was superb. The front desk service was exceptionally thoughtful. During check-in, they not only helped us plan our sightseeing routes but also reminded us to book the Cloud's Eye in advance. The afternoon tea was also excellent, featuring fresh, juicy seasonal cherry tomatoes and ginseng fruit, delicate small cakes, and local Chongqing specialties like Mahua (fried dough twists) and Guaidou (peculiar-flavored broad beans) – delicious and unique. There's even a specialty supermarket conveniently located near the hotel where we picked up hot pot base and beef jerky to bring home. Overall, this stay was absolutely fantastic!

Amazing place to stay while in Chongquing. The hotel is nice, the staff is very kind and attentive and the room view is spectacular.

It is a big building in the middle of the center. It has a kitchen and wassing machine. Location is perfect. Carpet all around the apartment floors is very dirty. The rooms are clean and the view from 34th floor was amazing. As everywhere in China the staff does not speak English but they do there best to help you.

It is conveniently located in the city centre and easy to get around. The hotel is well located. There is a special area for afternoon tea, small refreshments and cakes. The fruit is also very fresh. The stairs down the fifth floor are beautiful to take pictures of. Shooting at random is a blockbuster! I booked and stayed after seeing it, which was really unexpected. The value for money was very good. Every staff at the front desk was very serviced and patient. Next to the lobby was a children's playground with many children's books and toys. The room can actually be very quiet without noise and soundproofing, good light, simple decoration style, fully equipped with all the necessary amenities to be comfortable and hygienic. Even the washing machine was equipped with laundry detergent. The WiFi was very good, and if you ordered a takeaway remember to note the room number and contact the staff to help bring it to the door. It was a very nice, very nice stay! Next time we will come again 🫶

Great hotel in a multi hotel building. Very close to the centre and very easy transport links to railway stations and other parts of Chongqing. Staff were excellent, and the room was very spacious.

This hotel is world class. Staff are very gentle and helpful. Rooms are huge, view is totally amazing other Chongqing. We loved every minute in here. The family suite was perfect with the Kids.

Good hotel, location is near night market and tourist shopping area. Room has dism warmer, washing machine with dryer and microwave. Laundry machine came in handy since I got stuck for 2 days because my flight to hk was canceled due to a typhoon. Free coffee, fruits, cake, nuts beside the reception area, all day. Convenient communication since you can request and communicate through wechat. Service is great! Strong water, good smell of shampoo and body wash. Though the room was at high floors, so elevator takes a while to go up and down. Room was cool but reception was a bit warm.

Location great. Receptionists were great attentive and very helpful. Gave us extra water which was helpful. Would recommend.

Spacious apartment with washing machine. There is dryer option but not very dry so it will be good to have laundry rack. Corridor lights are dim. Nice stay with free drinks at level 5. Staffs are nice too. Nice location.

Location of the hotel is fantastic! Convenient to call for transport too. Room was spacious and view from the 29th floor was amazing! The staff 紫涵，二娃，林慧 were very helpful too!

Nice and clean hotel. Good location. Walking distance to bayi eating street, Jiefang Bei, hongya dong & shibati etc. Good price and good services. Superb view from my room too.

Huge and clean room right in the middle of Jiefangbei. The view is also amazing day or night. Amenities are well thought and the best part is the bed - unparalleled comfort. A haven to retreat to after being out in the scorching summer sun.
