We checked in on the 13 and was shocked by the condition of the room. On pictures, it was nice, in reality, it is covered with dust and grime. I do not know if housekeeping is done by landlord or butler, but it is pretty sad. We booked the lijiang room which is for 4 rooms. The 4th room is actually the balcony of the apartment, boarded up. They used a cloth to block the apartments stairwell from view. The cloth was dusty and the view scary so my daughter refused to sleep in that room. She even thought the odd attachment on the wall was a cctv. It didn't leave a pleasant feel. The toilet was old, and not cleaned properly. What was interesting was our toilet is a world of difference from another room from the same seller. I conclude that other rooms had been upgraded but not my room. This is a clear misrepresentation. It should be clearly stated that this room is not renovated, unlike the other rooms. We were so traumatised by the room and checked out immediately that night and moved into a hotel nearby. The seller refused to refund the amount due to their "strict non-return" policy, so trip.com stepped in to compensate a small amount. We booked 4 nights, and that is not a small sum, since this room is the largest of the lot. It is a buyers beware kind of situation. Trip.com should step in and put a disclaimer for this room. Both Trip.com and this seller should do better. Attached are photos that are clearer representation of the room Location-wise, it is ideal as it is nea hongyadong, but it is in an old building, and the corridors are dark and eerie, with sensor lights that come on when u walk past.

Super dirty with lots of amenities beyond repairs. - Refrigerator need a thorough clean. We didn’t dare to use it the whole time staying. As it was super dirty. - All the cabinet in the kitchen and bedrooms have stains and dirt everywhere. - washing machine is tiny and only manage to clean Up to 4-5 winter clothes

Great location, variety of food nearby, clean, good service by admin staff. It will be perfect if there is some refurbishment.

The property could benefit from some updates and maintenance. One of the queen bedrooms was converted from a balcony, making it extremely cold during winter. Additionally, the heater in one of the rooms next to the hall was not working, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep through the night. The bathroom in one of the rooms remained choked throughout our stay, and overall, the bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned. The kitchen also lacked proper cleanliness, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the view from the hall was decent, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to make up for the shortcomings in comfort and cleanliness.

Room is huge, toilet is slightly underwhelming. But host has been very extremely helpful. Very good view to see hongya cave from the top.

The location is close to Hongyadong, which is convenient for visiting. The room is also very big and nice.

Honestly, aside from the location, everything else is just not great. First and foremost, the air conditioner was incredibly hot. It cost nearly 600 yuan a night, and the owner told me it was because of the weather in Chongqing. The next day, I got a cheaper one, and it was even cooler. And the filter is pictured below; I wonder how long it's been since it was cleaned. Secondly, the cleanliness was terrible. When I opened the bath towel, there was a clump of hair inside. I forgot to take a picture, and I was instantly devastated. And then there were the cockroaches! It's hard to describe!

1. Overall, we stayed here for the river view. The floor-to-ceiling glass windows are really good for the river view. 2. However, the hygiene standards are still inferior to those of B&Bs in southern coastal cities. For example, the countertops, boilers, dishes, cups, refrigerators, and washing machines in the kitchen were full of dust, traces of use, and oil stains. We bought rags to clean the dishes and cups before we dared to use them. We originally wanted to buy vegetables from the supermarket to cook eggs, stir-fry vegetables, or wash clothes, but we didn't dare to do it at all because the stoves, pots, and washing machines looked terrible. 3. The furniture is generally okay, but the carpet in the living room looks like it has been used for a long time, and the edges are curled. To be honest, you have to be extra careful when walking on the edge of the carpet to avoid tripping. 4. The lights in the corridor from the elevator to the door are inductive, but the induction is poor and a little too dim (this may be the property management's problem, but it does cause a little inconvenience in entering and exiting. 5. There is an automatic light at the door after the elevator, but it is a bit scary when people are in the dark in the corridor. As soon as I entered, I felt a lot of sand on the ground and a lot of dust on the bed, but thinking that the price is cheap and the location is good, I think it's okay. But after sleeping all night, I felt itchy all over my body. I notified the person in charge to arrange for the cleaner to come up and clean. The cleaner asked us if we were suffering from acclimatization? What kind of acclimatization is this? 😂😂 It's obvious that the cleaning is not done well, which will cause itching. They just came up to mop the floor. We asked to change the sheets, and the cleaner said no, it would cost extra. Later, we asked the person in charge, and the person in charge said yes, and the cleaner started to do it. However, since we use disposable sheets, the cleaner just changed the quilt. There was no formal change of sheets.

Environment: The location is very good, right next to Hongyadong. Very convenient, many places can be reached on foot. It is also easy to find a taxi. There are many places to eat around. Hygiene: Clean. Very spacious, very suitable for many people to travel together. Although it can be seen that this place is a bit old, it is an old house, but some decorations have been done, so it is okay. Very comfortable. Facilities: Complete

The view from the room is really beautiful, especially in the evening. You can get a taxi as soon as you go out. It's a little crowded at night, but it's really convenient. It would be better if the bed was more comfortable.
