"The facilities, which just opened in June 2026, are incredibly new and comprehensive. They have everything you could possibly need: a large public bath, cold drinks, snacks, tea, coffee, a coin-operated washing machine, and even a smoking room upstairs! The restaurant connected to the first floor serves as the hotel's breakfast spot. The selection isn't huge compared to what you'd find in China, but it's fine for a two-day stay. For longer stays, you'll find more options at the Lawson convenience store next door. Housekeeping cleans for guests staying three consecutive nights. We were staying for three nights, and since we didn't go out, a staff member came to check on us. The weather was bad that day, with a typhoon and rain, so we ended up hiding in the 14th-floor public bath. An hour later, when we came downstairs, the cleaning staff was still in our room – talk about thorough! 👍 It's super convenient for dining, accommodation, and transportation. Currently, Ctrip members get great deals. However, the staff seem to be 'newbies' and appeared strangely nervous around guests. Maybe it's because we're foreigners, but we were speaking Japanese! 😂"

"A very good hotel in a strategic location for visits and activities. The metro is close which makes it easy to get around. Close to restaurants and shopping. The service is good and friendly. and the place is quiet."

"Towels can only be purchased for an additional charge, so if you use one in the bath, there are no small towels left in the bathroom. When you ask for more, they say they can't charge it to the room and you have to pay in advance. This means you have to use the elevator multiple times, and you have to wait for the elevator, which is a hassle. Even when you meet the front desk in person, they don't give you the towels first and ask for payment upfront. It seems like they don't trust their guests, but they just shrug it off saying that's the kind of hotel it is. When I suggested they explain it at check-in, they got confrontational and said they would explain everything from A to Z. There is no phone in the room and the lights are dim, so it's not suitable for students taking exams. The bath is full of burly, yakuza-like men, and I don't want to go in there again."

"I stay in hotels several dozens of times a year for work and travel, but in Chiba, the Okura Chiba Hotel is the most comfortable and my favorite. The hospitality of the staff, the spacious rooms, the large communal bath with sauna, the restaurant, the cleanliness of each part, etc. are on a different level than other hotels, so it is very comfortable no matter when I visit. Recently, demand has recovered and it is often difficult to get reservations, but when I stay at other hotels, I realize how good the Okura Chiba Hotel was."
