My purpose in booking the hostel was to have a shared kitchen, so I didn't pay special attention to the facilities. After checking in, I discovered that although it was a YHA (Yoha Hostel), it didn't have a kitchen. There was only a simple shared kettle and microwave, and even tableware was scarce; we had to borrow some from the restaurant. Friends considering staying here should pay special attention to this to avoid ending up like us, buying dinner ingredients only to find there were no cooking utensils to prepare a meal.

Pros:
A very good hostel with its own order and discipline. I liked the breakfast, hot shower, the ability to buy ski passes cheaper, rent skis, heat up food and a kettle. Everything was convenient and clear. Thank you.
Wishes:
I would like boiled eggs for breakfast.
I would like newer skis for rent.
Cons:
There is only one minus - the location. Far from the city center. There is a stop for bus #2 within a 5-minute walk. It goes to Le Tour. If you need to go to Les Houches, for example, you will have to go to Chamonix Sud and change to another bus. Or walk to Pelerin station, but how can you walk in ski boots? Other buses do not pass near the hostel. And the fare is paid. You have to go several times a day, since all the shops are also in the city, you need to buy food and go back. And this bus runs twice an hour, I’m tired of waiting for it and adjusting to it.

The location is far from the city center, but the bus stop is close and the view is good, so I am satisfied.

On of the cheapest ways to stay in Chamonix for decent enough comfort. Breakfast is included. But there's no kitchen for self catering

You could hear everything from the shared toilets and the hallway. I was trying to sleep while other guests were urinating, slaming doors and throwing up.

The environment is nice and clean, 10mins walk can access the supermarket. Although the city center takes 30mins, it still convient to use the bus route 2. The staff are nice. And the microwave is available if you need to heat the food. Overall is great.

This is a really good auberge de jeunesse, and really affordable compared to hostel prices in Chamonix. It was an excellent expérience, I met other people that also do hiking in the mountains nearby, so it makes common subject conversation. The establishment is really good, the bedroooms are clean and if you have any food restrictions they ask it when you reserve the meals.

Everything I need from a hostel - they even let me store all my bags (of which I brought a LOT) in a secure spot before I could check in. Incredibly clean, a nice mix of quiet, private spaces and social common areas. Live music was awesome, breakfast was great, showers were hot, and for what you get the price was quite reasonable for Chamonix. Beautiful location. The only things I was left wishing for - wifi in the rooms, and a place I could cook my own food. But everything else made up for it!

Another great stay here with a group of friends. For the price you pay you get everything you need. After 5-6 stays I d only recommend to change people (man) working at the bar.

I had a great stay at the hostel. Room had six beds. The other guests were kind, friendly and respectful. I slept well. The hostel has a great environment and provides low cost access to services including lift passes. The only disadvantage is its location a little far from the town and the lifts. However, direct bus services runs every 30 minutes from the hostel to the town and the lifts. The town is about 10 minutes away by bus and the lifts about 25 minutes (Flegere) or 45 minutes (Les Grands Montets).

I stayed here for two days whilst on a course and really liked it. It's quite a long way from the main part of town and the Brevent and Midi lifts but it's mostly young people there so they can walk the 30 mins or so into town. The rooms are bunk-beds with sinks and a mirror but the storage is lacking. Breakfast is decent as is supper, although they have this tedious 'no meat' thing to save costs which they dress up as being about the environment. There is a large, pleasant garden outside and a decent bar downstairs with a glitter ball etc - all very French, naff and 80s. The storage for skis etc downstairs has washing machines as well but it's pretty scruffy and wasn't much good for drying my kit. Lastly the receptionist was lovely when I lost my key and didn't charge me for another.

It's one of the best affordable places in Chamonix. Always a pleasure to return, as the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is generous and very convenient. The bus station is just outside and makes for an easy commute to the start of hiking trails.

Cant complain. Affordable hostel with comfy rooms, good breakfast and if you order the dinner you will not be disappointed. Great atmosphere at the foot of the mountain, lots of hikers or adventurers. And in the evenings live music at the bar.
