The stay at the ritz Carlton egypt hotel was more than good. We enjoyed the stay. It was unique. The service. The breakfast service and all its staff were wonderful. The reception service and the customer relations officers were all excellent and helpful. Thank you for receiving us. The wonderful reception.

One of the best hotel in cairo, location very good

When I checked in initially everything was lovely. They charged me $80 for an extra person in the room. The view was lovely and I was upgraded as a Marriot gold Member. The next day was not so lovely. I told them I would like to extend and was told I had to do that through Booking. What? Ok. So I rebooked with Booking and I guess they didn’t get the information. I showed them the reservation and that I paid. They called me incessantly and were rude as hell even though they had my Amex on file. It was ridiculous so I checked out and went to Le Meridian. So much better. Stay there. It is even connected to the airport. They have several restaurants and the staff is amazing. The view was lovely at the Ritz though.

Some unpleasant things happened when we checked in. The room type we booked was no longer available, and the front desk actually gave us a worse room type. Fortunately, after communicating with the front desk and Ctrip customer service, we were able to change to a suite (here is a big compliment to Ctrip customer service). The new room had problems with drainage and curtains. After changing rooms, the luggage was not delivered for an hour. I went to the front desk and said a few words. The front desk replied very meanly, "This room is $800 a night. What else do you want? 😂 I think a room with normal facilities and normal drainage is too much? Don't indulge foreigners, just write a complaint email to Li Zi directly. The next day, the hotel customer service manager came in person to apologize and asked for compensation. He didn't ask for a share, didn't ask for a discount, didn't ask for anything, just asked the hotel to fully respect Chinese guests in the next few days. Maybe there are too many white robes and old money at the hotel front desk. Ordinary tourists like us have no service value in their eyes 😂 All the bad reviews are for the front desk, and the other staff are as high-level as ever.

A very nice hotel by the Nile River. We were given a room late, so we were upgraded to a river view suite for free. The front desk service was very enthusiastic, and you know the restaurant service, so I only gave it 4 points. Overall it was good. The front desk said he liked Shanghai very much, because many Shanghainese people booked this hotel!
