Excellent Stay – Clean, Welcoming, and Perfectly Located I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and comfortable throughout my stay. What truly stood out was the hospitality — the staff were incredibly helpful, polite, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. The hotel is in a great location, close to everything yet peaceful and relaxing. The overall environment was calm, welcoming, and felt safe, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for clean accommodation, excellent service, and a convenient location. I’d definitely stay here again!

Super service, despite our check-in way delayed after a long flight, the complimentary cocktails were delicious! Brilliant location and most attractions are walkable. The rooms were always spotlessly clean and the coffee and water was replenished daily.

Hotel in the middle of a buzzing drinking street. If you are looking for that you won’t be disappointed by this youthful hotel. Although walls are on the thinner side and we could hear our neighbors chatting until 3am one night.

I stayed here for a few nights and found it a solid option if you’re looking to explore the city with ease. It’s just outside a metro station, which makes getting around very easy—but it does mean you’ll get a bit of street noise, especially in the evenings. The rooms are compact but thoughtfully laid out. Plenty of space for two people and their luggage, and the bathroom had a strong shower and was overall well-equipped. If you don’t feel like hanging out in the room, there’s a nice lounge space both at the top and bottom of the hotel where you can relax or work. A really good touch. There’s also a small gym and a washing machine area, which is great to have if you’re mid-trip—but they only have two machines, and they’re often in use, so some patience is required. Luggage storage is available too, which was really handy on check-out day.

I'll start with the pros: The room was super clean and comfortable. I generally like the Moxy chain and they offer free cocktails upon arrival. The neighborhood is quite busy and there's a lot of nightlife. Take that as you will. Unfortunately, my stay here was quite stressful and the service was very poor. I initially booked 2 nights on trip.com. I wanted to stay an extra night and the front desk kindly agreed. I paid a rate similar to the one on Trip.com, and it was charged to my credit card. During my nap, I recieved a call from the front desk saying that they charged me the wrong rate and this needed to be corrected ASAP. They revealed to me that the new rate was $90 USD higher. I was not pleased to hear this and told them I would be in touch to take care of the situation shortly. I got a call 2 hours later (again while I was asleep). They pressured me to pay again. I went to the front desk and explained why this was completely unethical as a business, and I would not be paying an additional $90. We eventually worked it out but this really put a bad taste in my mouth and the constant harrasment from the front desk prevented me from fully resting.

Amazing experience and very chill hotel. Come find out yourself.

Wouldn’t recommend this one to a traveller who’d like to respected as a guest.

Great location just directly outside exit 3. Walking distance to ikesong-dong if you know how to walk shortcut as it’s just across the street. Pocha tents around.

Weird that the check-in was on the top floor. The bed was so worn out I got backache for the days I was there. I literally fell into a hole each night.  Netflix went on and off all the time. 

The hotel is wonderful for those traveling around Myeongdong.

The hotel is in a convenient location and has excellent access to the subway, restaurants, and bars. The hotel interior is subpar. There is a serious plumbing issue in some rooms that creates a stench so bad it will have you requesting to change rooms. Housekeeping needs retraining because my room had no bath towels, and the toilet had not been cleaned. The toilet seat had mysterious dark spots that might have you concerned about contracting a disease. The toilet seat was soaking wet as well. Because of the above issues I requested to speak with the on duty manager. A gentleman came to see me and was introduced as the manager, but after a few questions it became clear the concierge had lied about the position of the employee talking to me. After I caught their dishonesty, they apologised and said he was the house keeping manager. A new room was organised for me. Despite being moved to a new room, the poor quality of the hotel continued. The bathroom towels were so “well used” that the seams had split. The towels were also rough upon the skin that had me feeling they should be used as sandpaper rather than for human use. The bathroom sink was also blocked. And the housekeeping didn’t replenish toothbrushes and vanity kits daily. The hotel asks us to pay a deposit in case we break something. I seriously believe the hotel should pay the guests a deposit in case the hotel experience ruins the guest’s vacation experience. This is definitely the situation that occurred to me. As a Marriott hotel, I’m deeply disappointed by my experience at a Moxy Insadong. I will not be staying at this hotel again and I recommend others to try other hotels in the area.

Simple fuss free hotel. Located right next to the subway station. Getting around is easy but we tried to walk around to save some transport fees and check out shops along the way. It’s actually walkable to myeongdong!

The hotel is wonderful for those traveling around Insadong and Meyongdong.

Amazing location. Very clean and stylish room. The vibe is great for young travelers. I also like that they have laundry room for visitors.
