Samantha chew 0606Stayed here for a few nights in Seoul. Location is the best part — right in Myeongdong, super close to subway, shopping streets, and food stalls. Very convenient especially for first-time visitors. Staff are friendly and helpful, check-in was smooth. Rooms are clean but quite small, so don’t expect a big space if you have large luggage. Bed is okay but a bit firm. Overall it’s a great value-for-money stay if you just need a comfortable place to sleep while exploring Seoul all day

Anonymous UserThe location is excellen with several train stations nearby, making it very convenient!
I would consider staying here again on my next trip!
The only thing that bothered me was that a sewage smell started filling the bathroom from the second night of my stay...
The cups provided in the room are paper cups so guests who prefer regular cups may want to bring their own.
It was also very convenient that I could store my suitcase in a locker inside the hotel even after checking out!

DGwxSecond time at Mercure and still one of the best value hotels around Hongdae. Everything was cozy and convenient. However, we noticed a smell whenever we enter the room. We have read that sewage smell is also a recurring problem here so we hope the hotel can rectify this.

YudoudouThe location is great, less than a 10-minute walk from the dermatology clinic I booked, right in the heart of Hongdae. It's super convenient for shopping. From the airport, I took the slow railroad line (the one that stops at every station) and it took about 50 minutes to get to Hongdae Station, costing around 22 RMB. The hotel is right outside Hongdae Station, and the building has a huge AK PLAZA mall. I walked around a bit, and it seemed to be mostly young students, so I'm not sure about its target audience, but it didn't really appeal to me. A 3-minute walk from the hotel, there's an Emis, packed with office workers. Within a 20-minute walk, you can find GM, LUSH, and a whole street full of shops. The room isn't huge but it's very clean, and the bedding is comfortable. I especially loved that the pillows come in different firmness levels – that's a big plus. The breakfast selection is quite rich, with both Korean and Western options. However, when I went, two out of three coffee machines showed 'container needs cleaning' and no staff members were dealing with it, leaving the remaining one to work overtime with several guests waiting. The tables weren't very clean; staff just removed the previous guests' food without properly wiping them down. The breakfast area staff also lacked smiles and their attitude was just so-so, but since breakfast was free, I won't complain too much – maybe they hadn't woken up yet. The front desk is large and located on the 7th floor (press 'L' in the elevator). The staff's English was surprisingly good, making communication seamless. They were enthusiastic and proactively introduced the hotel's features. If it weren't for the concert period, and the price was right, it would be worth staying. If it's too overpriced, you might want to look for more budget-friendly options nearby.

Fen ah ahAll good and everything is meet my expectations for the room cleaniness and services. The location is at the cetre of the market street and very convenient for street walking and shopping.Breakfast nice and variety of choices. Not much facilities like swimming pool or gym room for this hotel, but it is ok as i don't use it usually. The only bad is taxi cannot reach direct to this hotel and you have to carry your heavy luggage to the main road for the taxi.

Guest UserI enjoyed my stay here! The room is spacious enough for me and it was near many malls for shopping purposes. It is also quite central and accessible to other locations like Seoul Station. I also really like that I had a bathtub which I think is rare nowadays. The staff were really friendly and happy to help out when I needed something! The balcony view out to the city was great too.

Joansoh⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Stay for Families
The room was very spacious and perfect for our family of five. We felt comfortable throughout our stay, with plenty of space for everyone.
We accidentally made a duplicate booking, and even though we had already checked in, the hotel staff kindly assisted us with the refund process through the booking platform. We truly appreciate their honesty, professionalism, and willingness to help. It is rare to find such genuine and customer-oriented service.
The hotel also has an E-Mart on-site, which made it very convenient to buy snacks, drinks, and daily necessities. Another big plus is the free parking, which is spacious and easy to access.
Overall, this hotel is an excellent choice for families and is especially suitable for travelers on a self-drive trip. Highly recommended, and we would gladly stay here again! 😊

The room is small and a little boring but you’re paying for the location, and it’s comfortable and clean. There’s a good beer bar, Seoulista, on the ground floor. There’s is an aerial walkway connected, which goes to Seoul Station. You can also use the metro Exit 7 (I think) but it will charge you just for walking through if you are coming from the AirPort Express. The breakfast arrangements are quite eccentric, but I had a good breakfast.

EddrenI had a pleasant stay at this hotel during my trip to Seoul. The hotel was nice and clean, and the check-in process was fast and smooth, which made arrival stress-free. Although the room was a bit small, it was still comfortable enough for 3 people.
One of the highlights is the location, there are plenty of food stalls around the hotel, offering authentic local bites without the overwhelming crowds you’d find in Myeongdong. Personally, I found this area much more enjoyable and relaxing.
The metro station is just a 3-minute walk away, making it very convenient to explore the city.
Travel Tip:
From the airport, take the train to Seoul Station (either normal or express), then transfer to the blue line to Chungmuro Station. If you’re carrying luggage, Exit 5 is the best choice since it has an escalator — just walk toward Starbucks. Otherwise, Exit 7 is a quicker option.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel for travelers looking for a clean, convenient, and well-located stay in Seoul.

The room was tiny, but it had its own private bathroom. The floor heating was super strong; I actually had to open a window at night to sleep comfortably. I can't really comment much on the cleanliness, as the price was incredibly cheap, so I just used two sets of disposable bedding. Honestly, if it's available at that price again, I'd probably go back.
