I had a wonderful stay at Siye Homestay! The help desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure I had everything I needed during my stay. The location was perfect - there were plenty of food choices nearby, from street food to restaurants, so I never went hungry. Plus, having a convenience stall downstairs was super convenient for grabbing any essentials. But what really impressed me was the proximity to nearby malls. I could easily walk to the shopping centers, which made exploring the area a breeze. Overall, I highly recommend Siye Homestay for its excellent service, convenient location, and affordability.

We are 2 friends and both are new to Beijing and let alone China. We are first time here. For me the room is great enough, light was all working fine. The toothbrush and soap provided but need to get from reception. I was using iPhone so I cannot use the WiFi as it only works with Android due to firewall. Location wise I think it is easy to find even with Google Map. For those using Metro, Dongsi Station Exit G is the nearest one, while Exit D is the second nearest. Two main metro line to Dongsi Station is Metro Line 5 & 6. But we normally use line 6 because it is nearest to Exit G. The area is close to Forbidden Palace, you can get there with one change of metro service. When I went to Forbidden Palace, I did go there using Metro then walk back as it is only around 1.6km walking after the Exit at Forbidden Palace and took about 20 minutes walking. I did use Baidu map to walk to the hotel from Forbidden Palace and you will take short cuts which will end up at the back of Renaissance Hotel. Tips : mark the hotel in Baidu map so you can easily get the map working especially if cannot speak Chinese like me. On Dongsi West St there is National Art Museum and it is free. I did went there alone after checkout, there are 6 floors of exhibits there. Walk to Wangfujing shopping st would take you around 15 minutes. The famous Prime Hotel Beijing is like 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Not much to do at night as shops literally close early at around 8PM to 9PM except for McDonald’s which close at 11PM like 5 minutes walk from hotel. There is a mosque near hotel if you are Muslim like me but the mosque is a bit run down and closes its door and you need to ask the caretaker to open the door if you want to pray. Overall I’m satisfied with the hotel which I think is very basic and fits our budget. I wish there is a cupboard inside the room for us to hang out clothes and fridge. The toilet however is spacious and hot water can only be used for 20 minutes then we need to wait again for 30 minutes for it to replenish which is a problem if there are a lot of people to take shower at same time. Improvement for hotel : 1 Put small cupboard in room for guest to hang clothes. 2 Change the curtain as it is very old and looks like not wash for long time. 3 Better if room has small fridge for guest to store food. Getting there : Metro from took like 50 minutes with 3 changes in metro line. For me it is very easy, and cheap cost like 40RMB in Alipay. Overall the surrounding maybe take 2 days for you to be familiar with but I think it is good enough as there are McDonalds, Luckin coffee and also bakery near the hotel like 5 minutes walk. Small convenience store is there in the back alley but close like at 8PM. Reason I chose this hotel : 1 Your taxi can get there straight in front of hotel as it is not in Forbidden Palace area where some place taxi cannot get in and you need to carry your bag through busy street 2 Easy access as you walk 10 minutes from Dongsi Station Exit G/D to get to hotel 3 Near Dongsi mosque if you want to pray if you’re muslim 4 Very quiet area as a bit far from Forbidden Palace area or Wangfujing 5 Lots of shops to eat and cafe on Dongsi N st or Meishuguan E st near the Prime Beijing Hotel 6 A few halal muslim restaurant for you to eat if you are picky eater and not familiar with convenience store food 7 When go out of hotel turn left at end of the Dadoufu Ln there is small convenience you can buy food but close early around 8PM.

Location be careful - It is located “inside” Zhong Gu hotel 中谷酒店 main gate。Nearly cannot find it. Otherwise. staff are helpful. and there is a compilation of attractions for Beijing. information and how to get there. Room Wifii is not stable hence the internet TV sometimes no signal. Otherwise the hotel is fine.

If you are not physically challenged and love the sight and sound of an era gone by, this is a hotel for you. The location is ideally situated near well-known Beijing attractions. Furthermore, it is next door to the Michelin-award-winning Peking Duck restaurant, Peking Chamber (or 四李民福烤鸭店). As a hotel guest, a visit to this restaurant is a ”must”, unless you are willing to forego a part of your Beijing experience. I had dinner at this restaurant on two occasions during my 6-night stay! The wi-fi is a bit weak. I was informed due to their location amidst numerous government offices, router allocation is limited. On the other hand, if you sit outside near Peking Chamber, you can easily connect to that restaurant's wi-fi. The hotel staff was helpful, particularly, Miss Zhang Xinyu, who assisted me with my laundry needs and scheduled my visit to Tiananmen Square to witness the National Flag lowering ceremony. I also like to thank Miss Li Yiran for her kind thoughts ensuring I had a memorable stay (which I did) at the hotel.

This location and this price are great value! The bus Shazikou East Station, the subway Jingtai Station and the Yongdingmen Station are not far away. It is not far to take a taxi to watch the flag-raising ceremony in the early morning. The transportation is very convenient. It is a single-family building with simple decoration and solid wall toilets. The sanitary conditions are even better than some chain hotels. The big sisters at the front desk are very good, simple and plain, and the price is relatively stable. It is reasonable to suspect that it is a guesthouse in many places in Beijing, and the price is just right.

I booked this hotel for my sister during her transit to Daqing, as she was traveling to China for the first time to study. The hotel staff went above and beyond, picking her up from the airport, assisting her throughout her stay like family, and dropping her back at the airport. She was extremely pleased with their service and the warm, homely treatment she received. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a welcoming and supportive experience!

Situated at the side of the main road and thus making it convenient to find then hostels in a hutong (small alley). There is a cafe on the first floor. The restaurant serves mostly western dishes, which the diners can have on the rooftop dining area (third floor). There, diners can have a nice view of the White Light Pagoda. Infact, the establishment is within a short walking distance to the Golden Light Pagoda. As for the hostel itself, the rooms are designed tatami style. Beds are arranged side by side on tatami mats, separated by small wooden dividers. Each bed comes equipped with a small reading lamp and a charger area, and a small cabinet to put valuables. The rooms are on the second floor, locked with an automatic sliding door. The shower rooms and cubicles are on the first floor. Albeit its strengths, there are two dampeners to this hostel. One, the bathrooms are shared between the hostel guests and diners, and bathrooms being on the first floor, guests had to walk down and up. Second, the bathroom and garbage area (near the front door and receptionist) have a funky smell. For the bathroom, I suppose it is because the bathroom is is confined in the middle of the hostel, thus a lack of ventilation in the window-less bathroom. As for the garbage area, I dont suppose the cleaners wash or watch them very frequently. Seems like the only cleaner mainly cleans the restaurant. Second, the rooms are not soundproof. When I stayed there, a man with a big nest of hair laughed and clapped every several minutes in glee and utter abandon while playing his mobile phone until way past 11pm. After bearing with the noises for a while, I had to tell him off; he apologised and immediately stopped. That was when I realised he had had his earphones on while playing and did not realise how loud his voice must have been. Surprisingly, the receptionist, also awake, did not alert him. As you can see from the pictures, the hostel and cafe are elegantly decorated. However, I feel that the management of the restaurant is prioritized than the proper management of the hostel. The hostel is close to Subway Line 4.

In the beginning, I was sceptical about staying at this hotel after reading many reviews. However, I am happy my family and I stayed there compared to the one recommended. It is close to several shops: 7/11, Lawsons, Pizza Hut, several restaurants, bus and metro stations. On the downside, the building is ancient, with dirt marks in the bathroom. The bed was tough, and the AC was so bad that we didn't need cover sheets. The refrigerator didn't work. The room is appropriately soundproof; we could not hear the neighbours or the vehicle passing. Room service was on par, with clean towels, bottled water, kettle, and teabags, and there was no funny odour. Recommendations: Add a spoon to stir the teabag, change the mattresses, and put some nice covering on the sofa.👌

Facilities: Slippers are disposable slippers, and there are emergency fire masks Hygiene: There is a stain on the pillow on the bed Service: The service is quite good, mineral water and disposable slippers are replenished every day, and the feedback of shower problems is also solved in time

Although the hotel door is being renovated and the room is a bit small, the hotel still surprises our family. There are good free self-service laundry facilities, the laundry room is very hygienic and provides everything needed. The lobby also provides free drinks and boiled water. The hotel used a robot to deliver takeaway meals to the room, much to the delight of the children. The hotel staff are very kind and responsible.
