First off, the location was perfect – the airport shuttle drops you right at the hotel, just across the street. We noticed fewer Chinese guests and more European and American visitors. Right opposite the hotel, there's Olive Young, McDonald's, and a fried chicken joint. To the left and right of the hotel entrance, you'll find a 7-Eleven on each side. The streets behind the hotel are packed with restaurants. Just about 200 meters to the left of the hotel entrance is Mapo Subway Station, which is only one stop from Yeouido Department Store – super convenient. If you head right from the hotel, you'll reach Gongdeok Subway Station, where you can find the popular Egg Drop sandwiches, which are a great value for breakfast. The hotel doesn't provide toothbrushes or toothpaste, so it's a good idea to bring your own set. If you forget, there's a machine on the first floor where you can buy them. For your return journey, you can catch the airport shuttle to the airport right in front of the McDonald's opposite the hotel. You can buy tickets on-site by scanning a QR code or paying with cash. "This hotel boasts an excellent location, very close to Jongno 5(ga) Station and Gwangjang Market. The twin room is quite small, barely enough space to open luggage, but it's clean and perfectly adequate if you just need a place to sleep. The bed is very high, you almost have to jump to get onto it, but I imagine it's elevated to create space underneath for luggage. Despite its height, it was very comfortable to sleep on. I could faintly hear noises from adjacent rooms, but it wasn't bothersome. There's a kitchen on the third floor with a coffee maker, refrigerator, and food like bread, available for guests to enjoy anytime. They also offer luggage storage before check-in and after check-out. There's no elevator, so carrying a suitcase up and down to our fourth-floor room was a bit of a workout. Although I didn't use it, there's a stylish cafe on the first floor. Overall, it was a good hostel."

"The hotel boasts convenient transportation. You can take the airport bus to and from the airport, and the drop-off point is also where you catch the return bus, which is super handy. I took bus 6015 and got off at Myeongdong Station. After getting off, you'll see Subway Exit 8. Head towards Exit 8, and at the first intersection, turn right and walk straight. (Make sure you don't go past the CU convenience store; it's actually right opposite Exit 8.) It's quite close, just a few hundred meters walk. The hotel is also very close to our embassy, which gave me extra peace of mind. Every morning, I could see the embassy from my window seat. The room was a bit small; opening a 28-inch suitcase made it feel a bit cramped, but the hotel's cleanliness was good. The soundproofing was excellent; even though it's in lively Myeongdong, it was very quiet at night, which was fantastic."

GGuest UserThis hotel's location is absolutely perfect! It's right by the Hongdae subway station, and downstairs you'll find Olive Young, Adidas, and Musinsa. It's truly in the heart of Hongdae, the 'universe center.' You can also tell it's popular with international guests because they provide universal power adapters, disposable slippers, and even a capsule coffee machine. Aside from the room and bed being a bit small, everything else was 100% perfect. I'm so satisfied!

GGuest UserThis hotel clearly puts a lot of thought into every detail, and it's by far the best experience I've had during my stays in Seoul.
1. **Warm, but not overbearing service.** From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by a Korean gentleman. Then, a friendly, seemingly Western staff member helped me with the entire check-in process. Afterwards, he even gave me a map in Chinese and explained the surrounding neighborhood and transportation options. The whole experience was fantastic (P.S. The hotel offers free breakfast to all guests from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. I woke up too late this time, but I'll definitely try it on my next visit).
2. **Reliable cleanliness.** The black tiles around the sink, which usually show water stains easily, were completely spotless. The bed and tables were equally tidy. What's more, and this is a significant point, it's the *only* hotel I've stayed at in Seoul where there was no unpleasant smell from the drains. There was also a very subtle, understated fragrance in the air, which was lovely.
3. **Tasteful decor and sensible space planning.** I checked in in the afternoon, and the sun was shining beautifully into the room. It was so blissful to lie on the bed, bask in the sun, and do some writing. Outside the window, it was a semi-residential/office area, so there wasn't a lot of loud traffic noise, ensuring a good night's sleep.
**In summary:** An absolutely wonderful hotel! I'd recommend it to all my friends visiting Seoul.

Overall, the hotel was quite good and we had a pleasant stay. One thing we really appreciated was that the hotel allowed us to store our luggage for the whole day, with free luggage storage available for up to 12 hours, which was very convenient for travelers.
We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a Family Triple Room, which was very nice and comfortable. This thoughtful gesture made our stay more enjoyable.
Overall, the experience was positive. However, the cleanliness could be improved slightly to make the stay even better.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel surroundings are nice, and the front desk staff speak basic English. On the first day, I found a midge on the curtains, but otherwise, the cleanliness was acceptable, and there was no drain smell from the bathroom. Disposable slippers were provided, but no toothbrush or toothpaste. Everything in the minibar, except for water, was chargeable.
I booked a hotel in Gangnam because I was attending a concert at KSPO Dome.
Pros: After the concert, it was usually easy to find a seat on the Express Line 9, and I could quickly reach Bongeunsa Station. There aren't many restaurants on the way back to the hotel, but there are several convenience stores.
Cons: The walk from Bongeunsa Station to the hotel is really, really far, and you have to climb a gentle slope before descending! Cheongdam Station is about half the distance, but coming from Olympic Park, you'd need to transfer from Line 5 to Line 7, and Line 5 is usually much more crowded after events.
Additionally, I had extended my stay through Trip.com before check-in, but the front desk initially thought I had only booked one night. After some communication, they found the extension order and processed it. However, on the second night, my room card stopped working and needed to be re-authorized. I hope the platform and the hotel can improve this issue.

GGuest UserThe hotel is very clean and has excellent facilities. They even provide a large refrigerator, washing machine, and a steamer in the room. The staff are friendly and helpful.
We booked a room for three people, and it felt a bit cramped when trying to open three large suitcases but its not a bigdeal for us. There are Convenient store and coffee shop near the hotel.
What’s a bit tricky is the access to the hotel. They mentioned in hotel info that the nearest subway station is Hyohyeon Station(approx 300m), but it’s actually located across the street from the hotel. To cross, you have to walk quite far to an underground passage. you can’t just cross directly in front of the hotel. The nearest station that’s easier to access without crossing far is City Hall Station exit 7, which is about 6-8 minutes walking distances that quiet painfull in a cold weather.
Its more convenient if you’re traveling by bus, as the bus stop just right in front of the hotel. On our last day, my friend discovered a shortcut to cross via the Namdaemun Underground Shopping Center.
Overall, it was a great stay.

LLouis FragiacomoStaff were attentive and friendly and the apartment itself was spacious and well-equipped with modernised kitchen and bathroom facilities. It’s located around a lot of food and coffee options and is walking distance to a number of popular tourist spots markets/malls.
The cleaning staff visited every day and ensured towels were changed and that the bed was remade, making for a very pleasant stay that felt very luxurious and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

AAnonymous UserI had a really satisfying stay at Hop Inn Seoul Myeongdong! The hotel's location is super convenient – it's close to both the subway station and the Myeongdong shopping area, making it easy to get around for shopping, sightseeing, or exploring the city.
The room was actually bigger than I expected. I had plenty of space to move around even after opening my large suitcase, which was a big plus for a traveler like me. The hotel itself was very clean; the room was meticulously cleaned, and the facilities were modern, making for a comfortable and reassuring stay.
The staff were friendly, and both the check-in and check-out processes were smooth. Next time I'm in Seoul, I'll definitely choose Hop Inn Seoul Myeongdong again and will recommend it to my friends and family!

GGuest UserThe room was comfy and there was bidet available. The location was strategic, near convenience store and you can easily find restaurant, good coffee shop, and also access to MRT. There was washing machine in the room and you can buy the detergent at GS25 at the lobby area. The minus point was the space on the service area is narrow and you have to bring your luggage downstair and believe me It was really hard to bring big luggage from downstair because the stair space was also narrow.
