Slamba Hostel

"Absolutely correct what the others are writing here. 0 or even minus 5 stars would be appropriate! Under no circumstances should you book if you really need accommodation! We had booked, including a written booking confirmation via email. When we arrived at 6:00 PM, the reception was unattended, even though it was supposed to be staffed until 6:30 PM. Only on the 5th or 6th attempt did someone answer the phone, who claimed not to know our booking, despite having a reservation number. They were fully booked and he couldn't do anything... We then had to spontaneously book other accommodation, which only cost €5 more per night (B&B Augsburg Nord - highly recommended). The B&B was clean, the receptionist was extremely friendly and very helpful, and the room was perfectly fine! The same cannot be said for Slamba Hostel! It was visibly dirty and quite creepy in the backyard, and the employee on the phone was anything but helpful. Nobody needs that! We're incredibly relieved we didn't have to sleep in that run-down place called Slamba Hostel! Definitely avoid this accommodation if you want to do yourself a favor!"

"It’s a good and cheap choice for staying in Augsburg! The rooms are small, but quiet and clean. You can have free coffee until afternoon in the lobby. Opposite is a bakery and a Lidl supermarket. A bus stop is close by as well. Parking spots are available for free in front of the Hotel."

"had a great stay at the Rugs Hotel Augsburg! The hotel has a very relaxed vibe and the rooftop terrace is a highlight—perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Having a fitness room on-site was also a nice plus. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and a great choice for a stay in Augsburg. Highly recommended!"

"Great location for maybe winter or spring but there is No A/C in the room or lobby areas (probably true for most of Augsburg and Munich - so ask before you book) and it was brutal in mid-August. If you open your windows at night to try to cool off the streetcars run until at least 12 midnight and wake you up promptly at 6 am - we asked to be moved a "quiet" room on an inner courtyard after the first night which was less noisy but they wanted 20 euros more per night. If you rent a car and are 'lucky' enough to park there ask for the parking area closest to the hotel and tell them you will be taking your car in and out. If not you end up in the garage across the street it will take you a good 20 minutes to dodge columns, walls, and other cars and situate the car so you can pull out easier when you want to leave."
